Adobe Workfront General

Description - Just moving the pointer over a User's name link causes their contact info to popupWhy is this feature important to you - Even when not intended (almost always), it pops up and prevents any further interaction until closed (X click)How would you like the feature to work - Remove auto pop up unless name is clicked on, or at least provide the option to do so.Current Behaviour - This behaviour is quite disruptive and often interferes with the user's intended actions.

Request: Add the 'Save as New View' button when editing the Report Default view Benefit: Users can easily create/test new views without impacting all users by changing the Report Default view

Description - I would like a built in filter within the widget to show the Completed tasks.  Why is this feature important to you - Our team likes to see their recently completed tasks for reference and edits.  How would you like the feature to work - I would like a built in filter within the widget to show the Completed tasks that could be selected and show information the same you can select other built in filters.  Current Behaviour - Currently, the built in filters within the Task Widget do not play nicely with custom filters to show Completed Work. Tasks will go missing and not appear.

Description - We have a reporting requirement from our VP that requires us to weigh actual project hours against portfolio 'allotments'. Why is this feature important to you - Without being able to set a range for the actual hours, the project report comparison is not accurate.  We need accurate data to report to our VP so that we can charge back the business lines that overuse our resourcesHow would you like the feature to work - The screenshot is from our project report and this is what we need in an hour report.  Current Behaviour - The issue we are running into is that a project report gives us the groupings by portfolios we need, but the actual hours cannot be added as a filter or range.  We would need to run an hour report for this feature.  As such, we opened a ticket and worked with a wonderful Support person name Kristina Smith, who was able to give us the text mode syntax to add the portfolio level data into an hour report, but we

Many of our users ask for the ability to save a draft of a request to come back to later.

Description - Need the ability to move multiple fields at once in the custom form builder Why is this feature important to you - It takes hours to move new fields around when a form is nearing 500 fields. When multiple fields are going to the same section on our forms, this would be optimal to have to save time clicking and scrolling. How would you like the feature to work - Be able to select multiple fields at once either through a checkbox or holding the Shift key and then the fields selected could be dragged at once. Current Behaviour - Only able to move one field at a time which is time consuming and inefficient.   I have seen some old ideas posted on this topic but no traction. This should be a native feature of the tool and should not need a third party app to assist with this functionality.

Description - I would love to see us be able to brand the New Request Page. Currently it is a very odd customer experience with an illustration of a toboggan. Why is this feature important to you - Customer experience, brand integrity. How would you like the feature to work - Simple update of toboggan to company logo.Current Behavior - No customization is currently available

Description - On the My Work widget on New Home, we would like to be able to distinguish between the "READY" and "NOT READY" objects within the lists. This is important to know when you are viewing both statuses in your view, but can't tell the difference between the two without using the filter (to eliminate one or the other).. Legacy home did have this distinguishing information displayed on each object in the list and it was very helpful when viewing and working through your list. Current Behaviour - You are unable to tell between "READY" and "NOT READY" tasks in your Work List if you have the filter displaying both status types. This is not helpful when displaying both status types in the list.

Description - We have migrated to InTune for mobile device management. Users would like to utilize the Workfront mobile app, but without it being managed via InTune it's not as secure so the Security Team won't approve it's use. Why is this feature important to you - See aboveHow would you like the feature to work - Workfront to provide a connection for InTune. Current Behaviour - The app is not approved for use by the Security Team.

—It would be great to be able to add a PDF to an Update "new comment".—When we are updating teammates we have a lot of pdfs we work with as a multi-page file that we find it valuable to add the the "new comment" in Updates so support what we are explaining.—It would be beneficial to be able to add a pdf as well. Right now only pdfs can be added to Documents or as Proofs.—Currently only jpgs, pngs, gifs can be added to an Update comment.

When using the Log In As feature, the prompt shows both the full name and email address of the users.  However, it doesn't appear to search on the email address.  Only the first name is matched.  In some cases, because the email is actually more unique, it would be really helpful to fuzzy match on BOTH the email and full name.Searching on name:Searching on email mailbox:

Description - I would like the ability for the mobile app to accept comments and decisions on mobile apps Why is this feature important to you - 1)We work a lot with video and need approvals on those videos.  2) The world has gone mobile and stakeholders/decision makers in our field don't live at a PC anymore.  Decisions need to be made in the field and on the road.  3) SAdditionally, some video products are created for mobile and should be proofed in that fashion. How would you like the feature to work - I'd like it to work like Proofs do on PC.  It'd be understandable if it lost some advanced functionality so long as comments/approval and preview/playback still functioned on mobile devices.  Ideally all of the same function would remain if you consider some people are still on large tablets - not only phones.  It seems like you could proof pretty much the same way as on PC on a tablet. Current Behaviour - The Proof function on mobile gives

Description - We would like to have the ability to create a new "Equates With" field, labeled something similar to "N/A" or "Not Applicable".Why is this feature important to you - We have project templates that use all the tasks but some projects don't need certain tasks. We want to mark them N/A and not delete them, but currently since the status equates with "Complete", if there are planned hours attached, it still counts those planned hours towards the overall project planned hours. How would you like the feature to work - We need a way to not have those planned hours attached to project with a certain status.

Hi Team, please consider the possibility to report on folder name from Document section. Thank you!

How come when I choose to filter by Task Name the report automatically defaults to Task ID? Why isn't the "Name" feature accessible in the filter section? I think it's like that for all "name" filters. Then I'm forced to switch to text mode and manually code the report to filter by name. Please fix this.

Description: Allow announcements to be sent to all individuals of a specific layout template or access levelWhy this feature is important to you (and others using Workfront): This would allow for easier and streamlined communication when a layout template or access level is modified. We recently made changes to a layout template for more than 500 users. We had to manually type in the users names to communicate with them. This would save hours for each system admin who needed to communicate to large groups of usersHow would you like this feature to work: Allow the layout templates and access levels within the Workfront instance to be selected when sending out a notificationCurrent Behavior: No way to easily address those assigned a given layout template or access level. We have to manually enter the user name to send announcement.

Description - The project timeline only instantly updates when you manually recalculate the timeline of the project OR when an update is made to the project. So when a cross project predecessor is completed, it more or less doesn't signal the dependent project that a change has been made until the dependent project updates based on a separate criteria. Why can't we add a simple functionality to update project 2 when the task in project 1 is completed or updated?  Honestly, if cross project predecessors are made available to customers, they should probably have the same functionality available as normal single project predecessors. Right?  - Jaxon

Users are adding screenshots to object updates and tagging users. When the notification comes through to the tagged user, there is no image shown in the email notification and no indication that the message contains an email. We would like to be able to see the image in the email notification so the recipients/tagged users can more holistically service that update and prioritize its need based on the full contents of the message in email.

When building a report for use in a Dashboard and the selection of Default Display Gantt Chart on Details tab, Display Details tab are selected and then the report is used in a Dashboard - actually display the Gantt chart in the Dashboard view of the report like the user has requested! Currently on the columns of the report are displayed and they are stretched to fill the screen.

DescriptionThe 'Task Summary' pop-out panel available on projects (see screenshot) is a great way to check on your tasks without having to leave your project plan, but it is missing some basic functionality that would bring it to parity with other areas of Workfront. Why is this feature important to youWith some improvements to the task summary panel, you could review the status of your project's tasks without ever leaving the project plan. How would you like the feature to workWe would like the following additional functionality:- The Task Description field should be included in the contents of the pop-out panel by default.- Provide the ability to customize the fields included in the pop-out panel's task details section (ideally via the layout template)- Display custom form data from the task in the pop-out panel Current BehaviourThere is no ability to customize the contents of the task summary pop-out panel. It is also not possible to view custom forms/fields in the po

Description - Allow Dynamic Patterns in the Text ParserWhy is this feature important to you - I'd like the flexibility to define the pattern using a combination of text and variables. How would you like the feature to work - Allow calculated results to be used for Test Pattern input.Current Behavior - The field allows only a static string.

Description - The current UI for tables uses numbered paging to limit the number of visible records, but with a 2K limit, it is difficult to view large record sets. It also breaks Grouping as the next page will not show the group heading if the group heading is on a previous page.   Please update the table control so that it uses infinite scroll paging instead. This would allow for the current 2K max record query limit without hindering the ability to see all records as it pages into browser cache. It should also improve large list performance as the number of visible records can be configured for performance and scrolling will automatically page in the new records.   Why is this feature important to you - To improve performance and remove the record count limit per page How would you like the feature to work - Infinite scrolling controls allow for an "unlimited" record table without impacting performance and scrolling through the table is more natural than paging.   Cu

Hoping to get some sort of resolution to how document links can be shared. Currently its just copying the URL from the browser page and that is specifically for each version. When copying URLs for document stacks, it is for the version you are currently sitting on so as new versions get uploaded onto the stack, old links are taking users to old versions. Some of our users don't utilize proof for some documents and when we are sharing those out to each other or commenting on documents as new versions are being uploaded, we are being sent to the version that the comment or the URL was directed on. So, as new versions are being uploaded it's causing some confusion or just extra navigation in order to get to the newest one. We'd love to see the document URLs always go to the newest version OR at the very least have a pop-up appear that says "go to new version" similar to what we see in Proof.

Description - Create a downloadable Open API specification Why is this feature important to you -Open API Specs save developers a lot of time when configuring their development environments to consume your API. Most RESTful APIs have these specs available in the standard OAS format. Since Adobe doesn't offer one for Workfront, I personally spend extra time having to configure one method at a time. How would you like the feature to work -Create and host a downloadable Swagger/OAS file specification for the Workfront API that would then allow developers to upload the file into any API platform that can read the OAS format.  Current Behaviour -There is currently no such file. All API "description" must be performed manually or one method at a time in a developer's chosen API platform.

Description - It would be helpful if the Documents tab didn't need to be open to drag and drop a file to it.Why is this feature important to you - After entering an update on the Updates tab users go find the documents they want to attach while dragging and dropping they realize they forgot to click on the Documents tab so they must escape out of the drag and drop, switch back to the Updates tab, click the Documents tab, then get the files again to drag and drop them on the task/project. They forget it doesn't work like Windows File Explorer, which disrupts the workflow. How would you like the feature to work - Ideally, we would be able to drag and drop attachments directly by hovering over the Documents tab, like Windows File Explorer.Current Behaviour - Dragging a document and hovering over the Documents tab shows "+ Copy” but dropping it without opening the Documents tab either opens the document you're wanting to add or downloads it depending on its type. Thank you!
