I believe it would be extremely helpful to have the blueprint size of a scenario displayed on the UI. In an area that is easy for any user to find. Right now, as far as I am aware, you have to download the blueprint and check the file. I think this will be extremely helpful for users to keep an eye on the blueprint size and be able to keep it to the size that is recommended in the guardrails.
For a specific worker role, I'm trying to give edit (contribute?) access to a single custom form within the project details. Is there a way to do this? So far it seems like I can either give that role edit access to all of the custom forms in the project details or none of the custom forms.
Hello, Currently when I insert a new task, the task appears at the bottom of the task list / project plan. And I have to manually move it to the desired location. Is it possible to insert a task anywhere in the plan or is it forced to be inserted at the bottom? Thank you,- Andrew.
Can you change the size of the sections in a dashboard when they are not an external link? When we are using columns for our dashboards it looks odd when the height of the reports in the side-by-side columns varies. I am unable to find a way to adjust that height (other then when they are external links).
This is a pretty advanced question, I assume, but here goes nothing. We have created a "database" of sorts within Workfront using Projects. We have a single campaign that houses all of the projects and within those, they all have a custom form attached with a particular set of fields. I want to use a separate custom form to "query" this "database" to look up values within these projects based on the "ID" of a typeahead field. So here is essentially what I need to do. The user selects a "Project" within a typeahead field. Once selected, query the selected "Project" to pull "Field Value A" into a calculated field. in SQL it would look something like this: SELECT Field Value AWHERE ProjectID = {typeahead id value} I'm pretty sure there is no way to do this within WF, but I figured I'd give it a shot!
With our use case, Projects are reopened sometimes seasonally as more information is added to them that needs to be completed. When we reopen Projects, we adjust the Planned Completion Date to reflect the new deadline. Unfortunately, when trying to build reporting on these dates, it shows the first Actual Completion Date, not the most recent. Is there any way to have it pull the most recent? I am currently using a Task report as I have to include some specific Task dates as well. Added info: Project Details reflects the newest Actual Completion Date. I found it was pulling the original by looking at the Updates. Thank you!
I remember in an update that Campaigns was coming out in a release and it was pushed back, but I haven't seen anything since. Is that still going to be released for beta or at all?

Hi everyone and thanks for looking. My challenge is the tasks for projects are typically too variable to meaningfully build into a template, so currently projects are built from a template to cover core tasks then a project manager will review vs a detailed brief in GoogleSheets and manually add tasks to the project.Clearly that's very inefficient, so I'm wondering whether anyone is aware of a means of Workfront referencing the GoogleSheet and adding tasks to the project accordingly?Ideal is can this be done within Workfront and Fusion, but my investigations thus far suggest not. In which case also very appreciative of any suggestions as to other ways this could be achieved. Thanks for any suggestions!
Description -It would be beneficial when converting an issue/request from a request queue to be able to adjust the start date right away along with the duration. Why is this feature important to you - Our maintenance queue takes in 200-300 requests per month and one project manager (me) is assigned to make sure that work moves along in a timely manner. The resource pool contains 10-15 people to draw from so we can't assign the request out. The start date is tied to the start date of the project which will always need to be manually edited unless it happens to come in on the first day of the project. How would you like the feature to work - When converting the request queue item to a task, bringing up the date range boxes as fillable would be beneficial. At the end of our project period, the potential to make an error assigning to the wrong month is higher because the date defaults to the start of the active project. The only way I've figured out
I've made some major changes to a form in the Sandbox and now that I know it works correctly, I want to move the changes to Production. Is there a way to do this without destroying the metrics?
I would like to be able to retrieve the custom form values (parameterValues), given a custom form section (categoryParameter) name or ID. Currently, the API allows for Custom Form Names to be retrieved from a given Custom Form using the following api call:/proj/[projectID]/search?fields=objectCategories:category:categoryParameters:parameterGroup There is also an, unsupported, api call that allows for a "data dump" of all values in a given custom form, using the following api call:/proj/[projectID]/search?fields=*,parameterValues I would think that the "parameterValues" object would need to be added to the "parameterGroup" object.{ "data": { "ID": "", "name": "", "objCode": "PROJ", "objectCategories": [ { "ID": "", "objCode": "OBJCAT", "category": { "ID": "", "name": "", "objCode": "CTGY", "ca
I just watched this intro video and it looks great. It feels very well thought out and executed. The consistency between form calcs and reporting is an important update. I do have a few questions about how it works with multi-type forms. In the example, a project form, typing partial field names auto-suggests project fields. If the form is a Project/Task form, will it auto-suggest both types of fields? If so, will there be an easy way to tell which object the suggestion is associated with? Example:If I have a Project/Portfolio/Task form and start to add the "name" field, will it grab the project, portfolio or task name automatically? On the same form, if I want portfolio name, it would be {portfolio}.{name}Would that still work if the form were attached to a task as well as a project, and as well as a portfolio? I have not tried calc fields on multi-object forms yet so no idea how this works.
Description - When you are in reporting it gives you the option to display currency or number fields with a $1,234.00, but when you actually run your reports or views, it will show CAD1,234.00. There should be an option, even in the Project Preferences, to set a symbol that can be used so it can match what options are available. Why is this feature important to you - It is cleaner looking and more efficient.
Is it available in your Workfront instance? The option is missing in our instance.

We have a task that has a custom form attached to it.We want the custom field to be edited only by the Task assignee. Anyone who is not assigned that task, should not have access to edit it.Is there a way we can do that?
HiAny idea to see the complete task name in text box in a report prompt, since missing many letters in between. Challenge for similar name type? Any suggestion...?Refer belowBest regards.
We have an aduti request to show what access users have related to their license. License+types.pdf (workfront.com) This list above isn't satisfying their reporting requirements. They want the info on "Setup>Access Levels". However, those do not appear to be accessible in a user report. My guess is this is pretty sensitive info we don't want the normal user to have access to, but am triple checking here to see if my hunch is correct or if there's a nifty way to have these added to a Workfront report in a way that doesn't involve manually typing out the values into a spreadsheet. Thanks in advance!
I have a team that is moving from one group to another and they want their custom status fields to migrate with them.
Description-Multiple request would be linked to one project. This way all requests that have been worked can be tracked but multiple projects do not have to be opened for similar requests that may come from different departments or different timeframes. Why is this feature important to you - Shows accurate representation of requests received and work completed through reports. How would you like the feature to work - Current request and project linkage would allow for multiple requests to be tied to a project.Current Behaviour - Only 1 request can be tied to one project. If an additional request for similar work within the scope of the project is received that request has to be made a separate project or closed.
Description - It would be beneficial to have a Text-mode option when adding custom fields to a card on a Kanban board. Why is this feature important to you - There are many project-level fields which would be beneficial to include on a card, which are not available in the existing list of Task fields (when adding fields to a card). For example, I would like to include the Project Owner Name, however only Project Owner ID is available in the list. Similarly, I would like to include the Portfolio Name, however only Portfolio ID is available in the list. How would you like the feature to work - Include a Text-mode button within the Cards section of the Configure menu. This button would open a Text-mode window where the user could edit the fields being included on the card. In my above examples, I would be able to reference project:owner:name and project:portfolio:name. This could function similarly to the Board Intake filters which already have this functionality (a Text-Mode option when cr
Hi all,I understand that board card can be moved using the move function within boards, but sometimes the status's are changed via the original source issues area. I would like to be able to progress the status of an issue and then the card automatically moves to reflect this update. I can't see a way of doing this. Am I missing something? Thanks
Description - The new filter experience does not close once a selection is made, like the legacy filters, views, and grouping do. Why is this feature important to you - It's impractical for this box to stay open and to have to manually close it, when we are used to the better functionality that exists in the legacy experience. How would you like the feature to work - Close after selection is made and for this to be fixed prior to Views and Grouping being rolled out.
