Adobe Workfront General

The current implementation has no criteria to filter for tasks which have no successor. This makes some report/filter use cases impossible. Please provide a possibility to select such tasks.

Request: Improve the internal search when assigning a task: - give a visual feedback if the search is ongoing in the background - allow to search for part of the names without the need to put % in front of the string - reduce search time to under 5 seconds - sort order: sort by best match, independent if it's a team, group, role or person Benefit: reduced effort for project management and reduced user frustration

Request: If I am trying to create WF tasks from existing data in an external source (Sheets/Excel) there is no way for me to copy a collection of data and paste it in Workfront to create tasks, I need to copy/paste the data field by field. Benefit: Time Savings

Request: Similar to Project creation allow Reports to be created based on a template. This could include predefined filters, views and permissions. Benefit: Streamline repeatable tasks, increased data quality and security Benefit: Streamline repeatable tasks, increased data quality and security

Request: The current possibilities to undo actions are limited in workfront and request partly enhanced access level. UNDO is a common activity in many applications and should be as well implemented in Workfront. Benefit: Enhanced usability of Workfront, higher customer acceptance.

Request: Currently, when creating a filter for a Report, if you want to include an OR condition, you have to structure your criteria as a sum of products. This can lead to unwieldy, error-prone sets of criteria because of all of the duplication. For example, consider that I want to filter based on the following criteria: Portfolio = X AND Program = Y AND Company = Z AND (TPM = 'Mary' OR Sponsor = 'Joe') AND (Assignee = 'Cindy' OR Group = Foo) To create a Workfront filter for this expression, the criteria would have to be structured as follows, where every variable is repeated 2 or 4 times: Portfolio = X AND Program = Y AND Company = Z AND TPM = 'MARY' AND Assignee = 'Cindy' OR Portfolio = X AND Program = Y AND Company = Z AND TPM = 'Mary' AND Group = Foo OR Portfolio = X AND Program = Y AND Company = Z AND Sponsor = 'Joe' AND Assignee = 'Cindy' OR Portfolio = X AND Program = Y AND Company = Z AND Sponsor = 'Joe' AN

Provide additional information to users directly in the application. This could be in the form of tool tips, or links to the relevant support pages. These elements currently exist in Workfront, but it would be nice if they were in more areas. Benefits: Increased CSAT and usage. Decrease in user frustration

Request: Improve Keyboard navigation. Workfront should be usable without leaving the keyboard. This is as well important considering accessibility requirements of many organisations.

Request: Please improve the functionality of Report Prompts: - enable pre-select or limited operators per choice to avoid wrong values - enable pre-select values instead searching e.g. over all project names - allow sharing of the report visible after choosing the prompt values so that the next user sees the same value without selecting the prompts by himself - allow prompts for a dashboard so that all data inside are filtered in the same way (e.g. program name) Benefits: - increase acceptance from the user side (easier to use) - reduced report maintenance

Provide a possibility to configure a data validation for custom fields. Benefit: Improve data quality in Workfront and execution execution.

Enable to configure an automatic timeline recalculation in a project if the task tracking mode (https://support.workfront.com/hc/en-us/articles/216636448-Understanding-Tracking-Mode-for-Tasks) is modified. Currently a manual recalculation or a wait for the daily recalculation is needed.

Workfront shall remember the lines of a table shown in a report or view and show the same lines after changing the view. Current behavior: Workfront jumps to the top of the table.

Request: To add an entry to the 'Update Status' a user needs to drill into the task and click the update tab. It would be much quicker to update multiple tasks if this could be done via in-line editing on the Project grid, or a report. Benefit: Time Savings

Request: Besides calculated custom fields it would be very useful to have a library of custom defined functions. These should be able to be used in calculated custom fields, views and filters. Benefits: If a calculation needs to be modified to fit changed processes only one place needs to be modified. Additionally it gives the possibility to provide enhanced function to the end user. Example: # Quarter in which a date occurs. # Arg 1: DATE: date # Result: STRING: quartet in which date occurs # E.g., DATE_TO_QUARTER(June 12, 2018) -> '18Q2' DATE_TO_QUARTER = CONCAT(CONCAT(STRING(YEAR({ARG1})-2000), "Q"), CASE(MONTH({ARG1}), "INVALID", "1", "1", "1", "2", "2", "2", "3", "3", "3", "4", "4", "4"))

It would be great if the subscribe feature could be added to project templates. Our organization is really excited for the subscription feature to role out, but it would be useful if we didn't have to subscribe the same users on tasks and projects every time we open a new job.

Would like to have Priority call out appear in the project header so it can easily be visible by all team members

This post has been closed as a duplicate. All votes have been moved to the original: Ability to report on issues, tasks, and projects together in one report It would make our lives so much easier and WF far more effective as a reporting tool if we can report on multiple objects in a report and be able to in-line edit the field for the object in the report.

We would like for administrators to be able to lock certain notification settings for all users and remove their ability to change these to ensure that people are getting notifications on things like new tasks.

The new report usage view is great, but it would be even more helpful if these columns are sortable by the number of views.

It would be great if we could copy programs. For our purposes we wouldn't want to bring all the projects with that program but would want the shell of the program with the custom data.

Currently Workfront does not allow lag time in a task relation type SF, e.g. I cannot input task relation "4sf-1d", as system prompts an error saying it does not accept negative value. However, this is industry standard that this task relation type must also work with lag time, not only lead time.

Problem: Currently, if you add an expense to a project and you check the billable check box, the expense is added to the actual cost of the project. Theoretically, this shouldn't be the case because an expense that is marked as billable means that we're expecting to recoup those $$. Proposed solution: Billable expenses shouldn't be factored into the actual cost of the project.

Provide a universal filter in the dashboard so if we are filtering e.g. the same project name or billing record or Consultant or region, we don't need to repeat it in every report.

When exporting a project to PDF, there is no column for task numbers. You currently can't determine on that PDF to which task predecessors corresponds to, making the PDFs almost useless as they are.
