Adobe Workfront General

Proposal is to build the functionality to allow grouping on reports on calculated fields.

Either as a GROUP setting or by project or user profile, have a setting that defaults to show ALL ROWS of a project

When I am resourcing for a role, sometimes I need to see options for comparable roles, too. For instance. I need a copywriter, but I'm also interested in seeing Junior and Senior copywriters, too. I can do this in scheduling by adjusting the filter. But a setting that would allow me to "include comparable roles" would probably be turned on 24/7 for me. And, but when trying to fill a role in a project, it would be good to see other options if needed. Program Managers may not be familiar with all of the roles that are available or comparable.

Most recently i added new proofer (no free licenses in WF) to a proof (their first proof) and the default email notification was what i had hoped it to be and this fed to the old ProofHQ side as the default. When I train them I add them as “reviewer/approver” and “replies to my comments”‚Äî and this has remained the same on the proofhq side. However, when i added a new "review licenses holder" inside WF proper first, under the normal flow (people, add new person) the default for emailing a proof went to "disable" (on the proofhq side). --you can change this to your preferred default on the proofhq side and it will remain such going forward. But honestly who can remember to go back and do that every time... I opened a ticket and here is the response: i have been doing some testing as well as following up with the team to see if there are any workarounds and it seems like currently there is no way to set the default email notification when the user is created in Wo

Include the ability to look at any page of the document on both side 1 and side 2 of the comparison viewer. We currently can do this in the legacy view, and need it to move into the new view.

Workfront should provide a toll-free number for tech support.

When an user opens a proof via Workfront, a new stage should not be added automatically, especially if this use is acting as a project manager or administrator for those proofs.

Ability to view by day, week, month, quarter Remove unassigned tasks that are not matching the role filters Example: I’m filtering for Role A, but I’m getting an unassigned task with a non-relevant open assignment because there happens to be another filled Role A on that task, too. Restrict the task assignments to be only the ones that match the filter. Don’t need to see all 12 assignments when only 1 or 2 are relevant. Large multiple person assignments cover-up important screen info in other sections. And, I have to collapse the bar remember what I saw in order to take action. Have the assignment bar already opened and showing the hours per day. Don’t truncate the box width and limit it to saying “No Assignment” without the role next to it. This is not an at-a-glance tool and requires a LOT of clicking and drilling to find what’s needed. Have the project tasks stay on one line Keep bar colors consistent Filters disappear whenever I click away from the page or refresh - this i

Ability to assign resource scheduler at profile level that would provide universal access to all users for scheduling. This would be in addition to the existing methods. This would be used in our instance by the Project Management team and admins.

Add ability to move upload field to end of forms/issues.

Here are some enhancements ideas from our team that would improve efficiency and collaboration: - If you hit post on an update and don't tag anyone, a pop-up should say "You haven't tagged anyone. Would you like to?" - You should be able to add a tag to an existing update. - If you tag someone who is on vacation, it would be great if their name appeared in red or via some indicator. For quick questions, this would be beneficial to see if an answer is not going to be forthcoming immediately. This could also help with resource scheduling. - If you work on a task, i.e., proof or post a document, and you click to leave, a pop-up that says "Would you like to mark your task complete?" would be helpful because too often, tasks don't get kicked off because requestors don't mark their prerequisite tasks complete.

As you know, timesheets are created automatically for all users even when a user does not have a timesheet profile. Some users don't need to track time (e.g., people who only review work items). Additionally, this also impacts our ability to send time sheet reminders at the system level since they go to all users. It would be great to have the ability to exclude certain users from having timesheets created for them in the system so that they don't show up on open timesheet reports and don't receive system level timesheet reminders.

Is it possible to not only have POP mail as the emailbox type for allowing requests to be made by email? We do not allow POP protocol on our systems and would like to have the system check an exchange email box for requests.

Given the difference in price between the different Workfront license types, it would be useful to be able to tell whether the activity being undertaken by a given user matches with the license granted. (For example, it should be possible to tell whether a user with a Plan license is performing tasks which require a Plan license or whether a Work license would be sufficient.) There are a couple of overlapping requests in the Idea Exchange - for example: 'A fIlter or report that shows active users who have NO assignments or work items' (https://support.workfront.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360000878254-A-fIlter-or-report-that-shows-active-users-who-have-NO-assignments-or-work-items).'Reporting User Activity Levels' (https://support.workfront.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115006179167-Reporting-User-Activity-Levels)

Allow users to add a new task and assign to a team from the Home area.

Need the ability to sort groups without having to insert the group field in the view. Since real estate is precious, we can't and often don't want to insert all these fields (one or more data elements used for Grouping) into the view. Need a way to set the sort options for each Group Element at the top or as part of the Group configuration option

When our users send a "public" URL link to a proof, Workfront doesn't recognize our own users if they access the proof that way. We have a number of users who aren't terribly well-versed in the system, so sharing a link is an easy solution, were it not for the fact that WF sees them as an external user. It would be wonderful if WF would be able to recognize our own users no matter how they're accessing a proof (from within a project, from a "proof ready" email or from the public URL).

When someone submits a ticket to us via helpdesk@leveldata.com they recieve an email back from workfront saying something along the lines of "Sorry you do not have an account in workfront please work with your workfront administrator to get one created" This isn't acceptable for our clients. To address this we set up an integration that watches our helpdesk@leveldata.com email and tells us when someone sends an email to this area. (This is one of the things holding us back from moving off of POP, if we can't see the emails on workfronts mail server we can't deal with this scenario)

The current timesheet start day is dependent on the locale in the browser settings. Our week starts on a Saturday, not Sunday or Monday. Why cant we have the ability to set the day of the week the timesheet view shows.

When time is rejected, we need an alert to pop up the next time the person with rejected time logs in to let them know they need to make a correction. This will minimize the amount of unresolved rejected time because it will give the person a more real time alert that a correction is needed while the work is still front of mind. It also puts the action to correct it in the hands of the person who needs to make the revision vs. the PMO to audit and follow up.

My Settings > Notifications > Email Notifications Believe me: I get it. Lots of options are good! And allowing the user to change the options; brilliant! But one setting should be removed from end user modification: There are many times when I need to communicate to my entire user base, and getting an email is perfect! And yes, I know all Announcements live here in Workfront, but my users spend more time in email than in Workfront! What are your thoughts? Thank you! Jay

A Link Or Button To Jump To The Last Note Or Most Recent Update In A Project Would Be Helpful. It is difficult to scroll through a lengthy update feed, often with collapsed update threads, to find the most recent update or last note. There is also an idea titled: UPDATE FEEDS IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER OF LAST POSTING which has 24 votes that is related to this.

If a chart is reporting on objects with long names, it displays those labels on the Y Axis without any line breaks or word wrap. This reduces the size of the entire chart, creating a lot of empty space in dashboards and making some of the chart elements difficult to see, especially in stacked view. Charts and dashboards would look better and be easier to use if there were line breaks in the Y Axis label.

As of right now bar charts have the X and Y axis scale set to be relative to the maximum value within the result set. This makes sense for scales measuring counts or values but not percentages. In the case of latter you would generally want the max to be 100% and not the max percent value of the result set. It would be great if WF would allow the report creator to check a box and set a fixed max value for the X and Y axis scales so instead of this: you could have this: Thank you

It would be very beneficial to us if we could easily toggle between multiple Workfront URL's (given that the user has permissions on all the URL's). We currently have (2) main URL's with users in both and for them to use the app they must repeatedly login/logout two work in both.
