Hi, I have our agency uploading packaging proofs to ProofHQ. Once we make decisions such as "changes required", our agency usually uploads a new version and it comes through as the next version and we no longer see the "changes required" proof in our dashboard. I noticed on a recent proof the agency submitted, I see both the new proof and the "changes required" proof and the version went fron v3 to v5. Any idea on how I can consolidate the proof versions so we dont see the previous version in our dashboard?
Description - We would like the ability to bulk update our schedules with the appropriate public holidays. Or have it set automatically. Why is this feature important to you - Without this feature, Administrators who use schedules for this need to manually go through each one an update. We personally have about 30 active across our region alone to maintain. How would you like the feature to work - Highlight the required schedules (from a report or the like), and update using a drop down menu.Current Behaviour - We have to manually update each one with the same exception dates.
Description - Updates Section in the Project and Task Level to have option to Add Table in Rows and Column wiseWhy is this feature important to you - We receive lot of data in tabular from from Internal teams on email and while we want to share that with someone through Workfront , we have to convert that table into image and upload in document , which is double taskHow would you like the feature to work - we will copy the table with data from email and paste it in the update sections Current Behaviour - We are making screenshot of table cells from email and adding it in document section , which is creating multiple images and not acting as a chain Description - Program name to appear at "Issue" FormWhy is this feature important to you - We have a form created at Issue level , there is a field called Program name and we want that field to auto populate with the program that project associated with currently Program name can be only pulled at project level by adding custo
I'm trying to create a report with a filter that shows tasks in projects with a custom field that pulls a group name in a portfolio's custom field. So basically it's [task's project's custom field from portfolio] = $$USER.homeGroupID. At last year's Adobe summit, someone shared how in text mode you can change the value of an expression to something specific so that when you return to standard mode it pulls up the full list of objects and values instead of just the single value field. Can anyone reshare that trick?
Hello, I am currently trying around with approvals on tasks and I am missing some functionality. Therefore I thought about asking the community on how you are working with task approvals. One example is, that a specific task should be approved by a group of team leads if the price offered by an external agency is higher than a defined budget. I would like to have the possibility to let the approver automatically leave a comment about the reason for rejecting an approval. At the moment I do not see any option to do that, so the approver has to switch to the task updates "manually" and leave a comment. I would love to hear from you, how you are using the approval process on tasks and how your colleagues accept this process. Thanks in advance. RegardsLars
Currently, Workfront utilizes the time zone on the user's computer to determine the times and dates for tasks versus the setup time zone within Workfront for the user. We are finding issues with this in a few locations within Workfront. For example, in the Time Off section, if the user's setup time zone within Workfront is not set to the same time zone as their computer, it will select 2 days when trying to select 1. Another example, if a user is located on the West coast and their computer is set to PST, but their Workfront time zone is set to EST, it will override the EST and use the computer's time zone. This is especially difficult for Planners that are setting up due dates and times for tasks within a project. We'd like to set all users to EST, regardless of where are they are located in the world.
Description - The "My Updates" view/feature that allows users to streamline the review and response of mentions in creative proofs. What would take this feature to the next level is if a user could reply to comments made in creative proofs within the same view/window without it opening a proof in a new window to respond. Why is this feature important to you - When looking at multiple proofs - it is time consuming to open each proof to then respond to a mention. Some mentions invoke a response but do not require viewing. This would make communication a lot fast and easier. How would you like the feature to work - Would like to respond to the in-proof mention in the "My Updates" window. Current Behavior - Currently it transfers you to a new window opening the proof. The action button says "respond in proof". It would be better to have the option to "respond" or "respond in proof".
The scenario: We produce marketing pitch books on a monthly basis. Sometimes the date changes, so the month-end date has to change in the custom form. For example: 30-Sep-23 gets changes to 31-October-23 if the meeting gets pushed back. I am having the hardest time finding any projects that reference this field. Screen shot is below. I have used the "contains DE" filter per the Adobe instructions but it's returning seemingly everything BUT this. Trying to use the exact value as show above also fails. What insanely obvious thing am I missing? Thanks,Ryan
Hi Folks, We're working on a new Template Picker solution that would allow end users to fill in certain custom data on a Request (or Issue) that -- upon conversion to a Project (or Task) -- will then compare the selected custom data against a set of Workfront SysAdmin maintained Template Rules and automatically the Template(s) that match the rule, thereby "pulling in" the right Tasks and Custom Forms, etc. given the entered data. Our initial version has been in use for several years, and as we put the final touches on the final generic release so (to confirm our assumptions), may I invite you to leave a comment here about how you could imagine using such a feature in your Workfront Instance (and/or would "want" it to work)? Regards,Doug
Description - It would be absolutely great to have a possibility to trigger Adobe Fusion directly from within Workfront. Why is this feature important to you - This would give Fusion users more flexibility on how to start a scenario and provide the end user to run custom actions on tasks, projects, documents, ... How would you like the feature to work - As most objects have the "three-dots"-button to initiate misc. operations like edit, convert, move, share, ..., it would be nice to setup an additional entry here, which just calls a specific webhook in Fusion passing the ID of the object to start a scenario in Fusion on this object id.Another approach could be, to have a button as new field type for custom forms, which can call such a webhook. Current Behaviour - Currently a scenario can include a "watcher" module to monitor field changes which trigger a scenario. This uses the Event Subscription API.
Is it possible extract Planned Hours from Workload Balancer using an API call? or on a report?Hours in the blue boxes:
Have you ever struggled with making updates or changes to custom fields or forms in Adobe Workfront? How about adjusting Portfolios to support more detailed reporting? If you answered yes to either of these scenarios, you know how difficult it can be to anticipate the impact of widespread changes. This coming Thursday, we're hosting a 30-minute masterclass in Workfront data governance with LeapPoint Governator, a purpose-built data governance tool for Adobe Workfront. During the session, we will demonstrate in real-time how Governator can help Workfront administrators:Identify all areas where a custom field is used across Workfront… in seconds. Visualize associated objects and run an Impact Analysis Report to understand the consequences of making changes.Boost your confidence in the recommendations you provide. This session is complimentary and best suited for anyone responsible for Workfront system administration. Description - To use the request queue as a serious alternative for a helpdesk system, it would be helpful to be able to define, which user group can see a queue topic / topic group Why is this feature important to you - This would allow us to create a request queue as our IT helpdesk system with the ability to control, who can send requests like hardware orders, or send on and offboarding request for user accounts How would you like the feature to work - The ability to decide for each queue topic / topic group, if it is visible for all users who have access to the request queue, or only for specific groups Current Behaviour - As far as I understand currently it would be necessary to create several request queues, which leads to the fact, that the first dropdown can get confusing very fast
In the context of my project, I am utilizing a watch record module. This module is specifically designed to detect uploaded files based on their names. Once a file is identified, the module triggers a download and conducts a series of operations on the file. The pathway these operations take is critical to the overall functionality of the module. Currently, the routing decision is based on the file names, specifically if the file name contains 'XYZ' or 'ABC'.The challenge lies in the order in which the user uploads the files. I need to ensure that the first path is always prioritized, with the second path being a secondary option. I have attached pictures for your reference. As of now, in some instances, the router initially takes the second path and then conducts the operation, irrespective of the order in which the files are uploaded. How can I adjust or modify the settings of my watch record module to ensure that the processing of files always follows the first path in the router befo
I just garnered access to Workfront with the (possibly naive) hope of using it to manage tasks and documents related to new sales request from our customer. We respond to multiple requests per week from all over the world and generate Excel, PPT and PDF documents which often suffer multiple revisions. Our goal is to create a project for each request, assign tasks, log document revisions and track the over all progress for the request. At present we struggle to identify the latest documents and their association with the right project and to track project progress and completion. To do this effectively I would need the ability to assign a small team and create our own projects and tasks. I don't appear to have that ability (e.g. there is no "New Project" or "New Task" on my Workfront GUI. Am I going to be allowed to management my projects in Workfront? Best, Hagen

Hello, I am starting to use the sub groups and wanted to know if anyone knows if you can use the subgroups - is it possible for example if we wanted to use brands for the sub groups?
Description - We would like to show the planned hours per task in the My Tasks widget. Why is this feature important to you - It is important to see the planned hours assigned. How would you like the feature to work - Add an option to the 'View' for showing the Planned hours. And, of course, the 'duration type' of the task must be considered.Current Behaviour - This is not an option at the moment.
Description - Workfront's API does not use the default standard for OAuth2 Authorization Code Flow. Using out-of-the-box tools available in Integration Platforms or Microsoft Power Platform or other web frameworks is not possible because these solutions expect OAuth2 Authorization Code Flow to use access_token as a Bearer token returned via the and not as sessionID.Why is this feature important to you - There is an increase in development cost and maintenance when creating or connecting third-party apps to Workfront via the Workfront API because of the non-standard OAuth implementation. Limits or even prevents our ability to continue orchestrating and automating work by placing Workfront at the center of our operations. How would you like the feature to work - Ultimately, we would like to be able to use the access_token as part of the Authorization Header as a Bearer token described in the OAuth and standards documentation. This would mean that the token_type be set to&nb
For anyone that is currently integrating Workfront via Fusion with Hootsuite to schedule posts directly from WF, how do you address formatting issues with the body of text? While I was able to pull emojis and hyperlinks from the original text, line returns and @ mentions do not seem to be recognized by the Hootsuite api.
Is anyone aware of any pre-requisites to adding hours to Issues? My user doesn't have the option to add hours to the Issue she has worked on?
Looking to see he dates/times of the status changes of a project - is there anyway to report on something like that or atleast see the path the status went on if not the dates/times?
Is there a way to create a form field to allow upload from an iPhone's file folder section? We've built a request form for our Sales team to ask for marketing collateral; however, because they're always on the road everyone wanted a way to submit via their company iPhones. The Workfront phone app (despite only getting I think 1½ out of 5 stars) actually works fairly well for just submitting requests; however, we've found one problem, if you put a field to allow someone to attach/upload a file from their computer, the app only directs them to the phone's photo storage area, nowhere else. Is this a form setting or just a limitation of the system? And if it's a setting, does anyone know how to adjust for the file area of an iPhone?
Hello, I am trying see if it is possible to create a calculated field on the project that will show the totals of another Custom field for all the issues attached to a project. Example. I have One Project. I then have customers filling out Requests (Issues). Our users then are going to move those issues to the proper Project. One of the Custom fields that the customers fills out, is a "Total Images" field (On each Issue). So I would like to have a Calculated field on the Project level that sums the total number of all the Issues that are associated with that Project. I know I can do this type of thing in a project report. Or Issues report with custom expressions in Text mode, or Groupings showing the Sum of the column etc. However we are going to have a Third Party Database that is going to pull this information. using APIs Right now the users are manually typing the total number in the Project field
Description - The new "Boards" column in reporting displays a "Show" button that must be clicked to show the data. Why I gotta click Show? Seriously, if a have a list of 200 tasks, why do I have to click "Show" 200 times? I'm curious about the thought process regarding this "feature".Why is this feature important to you - I don't want to have to click show over and over to find what I'm looking for.How would you like the feature to work? - Just show the data!!Current Behaviour - User must click "Show" to see the data.
