I have Workfront report similar to below sample template and I have repetitive tasks with same name. I want to extract task only under "Local" task. Is this possible? Global Development Quality Check Internal Approval Client ApprovalLocal Development Quality Check Internal Approval Client Approval
Description - Allow data points from the Workload Balancer to be readily available for WF Reports. Why is this feature important to you - We would like to be able to pull in data points from the balancer into WF reports. Only a handful of teams have access to the balancer and the remainder of our users receive reports. The problem is the reports are not always apples to apples to the data provided in the balancer. For example, we have found tasks that span more than 1 day does not break apart planned hours over the duration and instead lumps in all on the planned completion date of the task, where as the balancer distributes the time evenly over the duration. This causes mass confusion for our teams when trying to assign and review team workloads. Also, the reports do not pull in a user's pto which does not tell the whole story when a leader is looking at a report and questioning why someone's hours are low/non existent, but the balancer does. How would you like the feature
Description -Why is this feature important to you - As a global organization, we often create projects in Workfront which are invoiced to several vendors. The issue we face today is that when the currencies are different across vendors, we cannot capture all project expenses on one project. How would you like the feature to work - We would like to allow functionality for multiple currencies to be entered on the same project. Some expenses are entered in EURO, others in USD.Current Behaviour - Only one currency can be entered on a project at one time. The project currency is selected within the project tab. It should be chosen per individual expense when being created.
Hi All: We are contemplating putting policies/procedures currently offline into Workfront. We hoped to use the Documents section of the tool to have a single place where all users can go and access them, and then pin that page to their layout templates. However, I'm having no luck in figuring out how to share a document folder with the user base. What extremely obvious thing am I missing? Thanks!
Is it possible to report on request queues that have multiple levels of Topic Groups? If so, how do you identify each individual level? Any help is appreciated 🙂
Hello there, As a System Administrator for Adobe Workfront, there’s a lot of moving pieces to keep track of for your environment – especially when new releases come around. We partnered with Community Advisor @moniqueevans to cover how she reviews Workfront release notes, how she uses a Workfront project template to track everything she needs to do for each release, why she watches the product release webinar, and much more. If you found this video interesting or have any questions, please let us know in the comment section below! And be sure to check out our follow-up article on preparing for quarterly releases here.
Hi,I am hoping somebody can provide some light.1.Before, from this “New Request” form shown below, with “Pricing Operations Requests” already selected, we can get the link by clicking the “Share Path” button on the top right of the form and be able to share that link to others and the link will get them to this exact form, shown below where “Pricing Operations Request” already selected. Hello,I've noticed, surprisingly, that the Task Details Overview doesn't show the assignee's information. To address this, I created a custom field in our task forms, but the only available option is "{assignedToID}". I know how to convert an ID to a name in reports, but how can this be done in the Calculated Fields of custom forms?Additionally, how can we display multiple assignments in a custom form using a calculated field? There is an "Assigned To" field in the field library, but it includes an unwanted comment in the instructions area so I cannot use that. Thanks!
Hi, I am a WF admin trying to solve this issue where a user who is not originally a proof creator - cannot upload a new version of proof. The second user as per below picture was a reviewer and the third user was the one who created the proof. I took the initiative to assign the 'ownership' to the second user as I understand that the owner will be able to upload new version of proof. However afterwards, that particular user still cannot upload new version of proof. Is there a way that we can fix this so that the owner can upload new version of proof? Any kind of help is appreciated! Thanks. Taufiq
We are trying to switch from the enhanced connector to the native integration between AEM and Workfront. We know OOTB that the new folders that get created all go in one location in AEM. We are trying to use Fusion to create the new folders automatically in AEM which we have been successful in, however we are unable to create a linked folder in the project documents based on the new folders created. Does someone have any idea on how we can create linked folders to a specific path in AEM that is unique to each project in workfront?

Hi All, I wanted to know if anyone has ever tried to capture a task status (timestamp) on timesheet report? For example, have status of task display on a report when the time was entered to the task.
Hello! I can't seem to get projects organized alphabetically within a grouping. Anyone know how to make that happen?
We would like updated Documentation built for Search shortcuts (parameters when typing directly within the search bar) within Workfront, like using AND or OR or quotation marks or any ways we can help narrow down in that search bar without using Advanced Search since it is typically slow. We are aware of some of these, but there used to be help documentation showing all options. I could no longer find the documentation, and Support determined the previous was outdated and there has not been a new one released since the search engine was updated. Support has put in a request to the documentation team for something new to be written for the simple search parameters Workfront now has, but suggested to also have this in as an idea to keep on the radar (since the ticket could not be kept open). Thank you!
Description - We would like on the MY TASKS widget to share the time of day (EX. 1:00PM) that the task is due.Why is this feature important to you - Time of day is critical to our end users as they have to get creative in by a specific time of day. Our users have many tasks throughout the day and the new home screen is causing additional time that impacts their expereince. How would you like the feature to work - We would like the MY TASK WIdget to include the time of day the task is due in addition to the date. Current Behaviour - currently there is only the date
I am looking for a solution to the following problem. We are using Workfront to track our access reviews. There is an Access Review Attestation custom form attached to each task. The User needs to answer the questions on the custom form before changing the status to complete. I am having an issue where the users are just changing the status to complete. This process is only done a few times per year for each user so they are not remembering to fill out the custom form. Any ideas how I can highlight that there is a custom form that needs to be completed (using Workfront or Fusion)? Edit: This is what I ended up doing. We use dashboards to display tasks/issues assigned to us. I added a duplicate name field and used the advanced option to renamed the field Click to Complete Custom Form and then I added a rule that if specific custom forms are assigned to the task/issue to display as a red flag. Lastly, I updated our Layout Templat
Can someone help with understanding these highlighted options in the screenshot on what they mean and their functionality? I understand what Boards is but why is there 2 boards option? One for Boards and other is Kanban boards. Also what is add to workstreams and add to iteration mean. This is a screenshot of an issue and when we click on the 3 dots to convert it.
Here is the solution we are trying to solve for: We use Workfront enterprise wide with multiple groups/processes onboarded into our system. One team has a very specific custom form with very specific questions that have to be answered in order for a project to be created. Once a project is created with that form they do not want users to have the ability to access the fields to change the values. They must remain intact in order for the project to meet strict compliance/risk standards. I've set the form up so that only "admins" have access to edit the form, which works in theory. However, in my risk assessment I've been able to identify "work arounds" that creates the ability for end users to edit the fields. Anyone with manage access to the project, has the ability to add additional custom forms to the project. If they add a custom form that utilizes the same fields as the first form, without restrictions in place, the user can edit the fields on the second form a
Description - I would love to be able to incorporate any report or dashboard that I have created to my Home Screen or share across my team home screensWhy is this feature important to you - I have lots of custom report/dashboards to monitor my team work and give them insight into their own work. Being able to have all of this front and center on the Home Screen would help visibility tremendously and allow for better customization. Also would like to be able to add proofs reports to the Home Screen as well. How would you like the feature to work - Widgets that can have custom/user generated reports or dashboard, pull in active proofs that I own and am waiting for approvals or edits.Current Behaviour - Widgets are standardized and not very customizable.
Description -The Setting for New Tasks preferences are either to have a Planned Start Date a) based on the Project Planned Date, or b) today's day (day of task creation) Current Behaviour -The above is true when Tasks are created using the "New Task" (at top of the Tasks List) or the "Add More Tasks" (at the bottom of the Tasks List), or when tasks are added via a Template attachment AND the Setting is based on the Project Planned Date. However, this is not true when the tasks setting is based on today's day and tasks are added via the attachment of a Template. See attached table. Why is this feature important to you -Our long-standing Projects can be 2 years long, so whenever we attach a Template in a middle of a project with the Task preference setting as today's day we expect to have the task starting today, but instead they are planned to start at the Project Planned Start Date which could be over a year ago releasing work to star
Can someone share some documentation to help me understand what is the major difference between Basic Board, Kanban Board and Dynamic Boards so then accordingly we can decide where to use it? From the looks of it the functionalities in all of them look similar
Hello, is it possible to share a project based on field selections in a custom form? For example, we have a custom form that is used inside our request queue which takes in all issue requests for our department, then is converted into a project using templates later by a project manager. In that form, we have an audience selection field. Our Senior Communication Manager wants visibility to all projects that involve her audiences. Now I could setup the templates to include her in the Project Sharing. Then create a report that filters to show her ONLY projects for her audience. But this would give her visibility to all converted projects and some projects may be confidential and will NOT select one of her audiences. So is it possible somehow to automatically share the project to her when its been converted from an issue to a project, but ONLY when they have selected one of her audiences in the custom form? Thanks for any ideas!
Hello guys, Wondering if anyone has any solutions to help with a filter or set of filters or to make our workflow more robust - currently dealing with a filter that takes 2-5 minutes to load in Workload Balancer. Our resourcing team need to be able to filter any and all tasks set to "New" that are unassigned in the system to resource them to someone when required. The filter is currently looking at the following either stacked in separate filters, or combined into one filter:* Projects that are not complete/cancelled. * Tasks that are unassigned (as it's via the top section of Workload balancer anyway)* Tasks that are 'New' (default status is 'Not Ready', and users manually move to a New state when ready to pick up)* Tasks that are assigned to potentially 34 different role types across Photographers/Stylists and similar - these filters can't really be split into smaller chunks as whole projects need to be assessed alongside other full projects. &nbs
I have created calculation field, which is based on the data from two different fields (which are also included in the Custom Form) FormulaSUM({DE:Outcosts to date},{DE:Outcosts to complete}) Are attached the calculated field to one of the report and the report is attached to the project dashboard. The other fields are also attached to the report and to the different project dashboard. One I added value to both fields, the calculation field didn't summed up the numbers. Any idea what I done incorrect? Thanks in advance for your help
