Currently you are only able to send WF reports (from the WF interface) from the designated administrative email (In my company's case, it's a generic "Workfront Support" alias). I think team members would be more likely to look at these reports if they came directly from the user who scheduled the repeating delivery or sent the report (similar to a comment notification)

We have many users who share a name and would like to be able to search and find users based on their email alias (sso Username) when tagging in an update.

Hi Community,we are a globally operating company that is present in multiple different countries and are currently facing issues with the way how currencies are setup and used in Workfront.Next to the default currency which is EUR in our case multiple other currencies are required like GPB US Dollar and more.Working with Portfolios we are able to set a seperat currency on different levels of the portfolio like i.e. within a program. All buget or currency based information is then based in for example US dollar as we need it. Unfortunately there is one area left. The area of Portfolio Opitimization is the only area where the default currency is pulled from the system. This has negative effect on our business as usual.Therefore we would like to raise the request to be able to setup a currency on portfolio level for the whole portfolio including Programs, Projects and Tasks without using a system default. This has to affect all areas of the portfolio including reports.Kind regards,

The annotation ability within proof is great but currently limited without the ability to add text over the proof image itself.It would be amazing to be able to add text over the top of a proof image as an annotation, the same way you can add the other elements such as a box or arrow, ie effectively a style of watermark - so may even be useful to be able to adjust opacity as a bonus, but definitely colour, font and size. Even at it's most basic such as you find in Paint would be great.The use I see for these is adding an identifier to the image, in my case a product name or description over the top of the image, or set of images as a visual aid, as opposed to the note itself. This is different from the current text tool that only select text within certain file types, which is not what I need.I've tried adding an image as an example but unfortunately it keeps failing...

Our business has requested for ability to mark/post an update on project/task level as “Urgent”? As we move away from emails, we’re finding that certain messages get lost in the sea of notifications. Is there a way to mark a particular update as “Urgent” or “High Priority” ?

Currently we only have the ability to use following for searching in the Assignment object:I feel we are missing 2 other search parameters in this list:assignedToHomeTeamMMassignedToTeamsMMThis functionality would be extremely beneficial for creating reports. A use case would be:The logged in user needs to see all assignments to users who are on their home team. ORThe logged in user needs to see all assignments to users who are on any of their teams.

We have multiple custom forms referencing the same field attached to the same object (Project) that require a different input based on the form the workers are completing. What we noticed while building the configuration out is that if the same field is attached to multiple forms added to a single object, the data entered in one form replicates across all forms. If we want to avoid that, Support recommended we create separate fields for each form, which is going to cause the creation of multiple duplicate fields with weird field names and have reporting downstream effects (what field do we add to the report?) I would think the field can be used across multiple forms without having the information entered in one request form being entered in ALL forms with the same fields. This is really a huge issue that Workfront will need to resolve so we don't have to create multiple fields with the same information to prevent the duplication of user-entered data across all of our collective

The personal Time Off calendar would benefit from built-in approvals. Marking Time Off on a user's personal calendar should send an approval notification to their manager. Requests that are pending approval could have a different icons/colors on the personal calendar for visual distinction. Ideally, pending Time Off requests would also show up in the User's Home area, similar to other pending requests.Use Case:Like any organization, we require management approval for Time Off. As such, our users have to submit Time Off requests through a request queue, which appear on calendars once approved. We also require them to document Time Off on their personal calendars as this impacts project timelines. Implementing the above suggestion would allow us to consolidate these two processes into one while retaining the necessary approvals. And, we would be able to use the new Time Off Calendar featured in the 2019.3 release (https://vimeo.com/352816307/c9988ec54c)

From what I can tell, it seems like it is extremely rare for any suggestion to reach 45 votes. Perhaps we should lower the bar to a more achievable number of votes in order for a greater number of ideas to be assessed by the product team!!

At the moment, you can only have 30 resource managers. We need more as we have a large studio and many users need oversight of all projects - but have been advised that the limit is at 30 for speed/efficiency reasons. It would be great if we could have an increase in the number of resource managers we can have, without sacrificing the speed of the system.

Would love to be able to filter out fields while creating any report based on the group/sub-groups selected. We have many fields that are specific to a particular group and seeing all fields together might sometimes be confusing to the users.

There is a Reviewing Proofs pdf that seems to be the go-to for Proof review/approval functionality training. There are a number of outdated links in the document, and it also shows viewing from Home, which an external user can't see. A concise (not 20pg) document which simply explains how to review static/motion etc. assets, comment and approve Proofs from an email link for an external user only is crucial. I have seen discussion on this, and it seems people have had to create their own documentation on this repeatedly, myself included. Thanks

Request that functionality be included in WF to enable users to include multiple views of data in a report. For example, I'd like to be able to have 2 Matrix Grouping tabs instead of just 1 on a report in order to make it easy to visualize data in multiple ways.

Great to have option for creating separate (customised) Issue / Tasks / Projects priority for Company / Group. Else have the facility to hide one of them for specific Company or Group.MvhKundan

It would be helpful to get decision comments (i.e. when you make a decision and leave a comment - refer below) to appear in the update emails workfront sends out after a decision is made to proof owners. This will ensure convenience and ease for finding these comments.

We need a way to export all views to something that can be made static and distributed, such as an XLSX or a PDF. This goes for Reports, but I also need an exportable document from Resourcing. The Legacy Resource Planner allowed you to export to XLS but current tools don't offer any export features. Please add!!

This was available in Legacy Planner. The Workload Balancer only shows summary of hours of the task for that time period but we don't equally distribute hours across the task (some days are heavier). Please update!!

Allow layout templates to determine where the user lands when in the Portfolio or Projects tabs. The Portfolio tab defaults to 'Portfolios I Own'. Would like to land on 'All Portfolios'.The Projects tab defaults to 'Projects I Own'. Would like to land on 'All Projects'. When in a Portfolio, it defaults to 'Active Projects'. Would like to land on 'All Projects'.

It would be great if users had an option to auto-assign tasks for the duration of the project. Ideally, this would be an option after '6 weeks' in the schedule when only one project is showing that would dynamically set the number of weeks to match the project planned start and end dates. However, if it's a tick box on auto-assign that means I can't see the entire project and I have to scroll, so be it.Yes, if you have a project that spans years it might cause problems. I'd suggest you don't select that option or put it back to 6 weeks in that case.

It would be helpful to allow requesters the ability to attach folders with content already in them to requests rather than attaching content piece by piece. Not only would it help save time, but it would keep pieces of content organized.

I created a wildcard report that calculates the number of days the individual has selected as time-off. To have a more accurate calculation I used the expression WORKMINUTESDIFF so that it would not include any days that are Schedule exceptions (aka holidays) since a lot of people will take off around an extended weekend. I noticed there were incorrect calculations for some of my users and after research discovered that WORKMINUTESDIFF only refers to the Default schedule instead of the user's schedule.I wish there was an easier way to make a time-off report that did not involve so much text mode deciphering and could cleanly calculate John Smith has taken 10 PTO days this year.

I just went through this with Workfront Support and they suggested I add this to the ideas exchange as others may have the same thought.If you go to Statuses, Issues are the only item that you can have more than one set of statuses for (i.e. issue types). However, for our purposes, we have different types of projects: Some projects have custom statuses that are different than other projects. The workaround is to assign statuses by group, but ideally, you would have the ability to select a custom status for projects the same way you can for Issues.

It would be nice if a project is a predecessor task on a 2nd project, that the predecessor task % complete field automatically update as it's linked project percent completion progresses. for example: Project 1 - is currently at 50% completion, a few tasks within this project are completed and the % completion changes to 60%Project 2 - has a task (Project 1 as an enforced predecessor), as the activity in Project 1 causes it's % completion to update to 60%, it would be nice for the task in Project 2 to automatically update to 60% to coincide.

Enabling the User cloning option for any user. This will help in fastening the new user creation overall process.

Would like to be able to build a report showing report creation date. We would use this as a KPI report indicating how we are utilizing the information housed in Workfront.
