Adobe Workfront General

Currently when commit dates change on a task it sends an approval to the Project Owner. This approval doesn't follow the approval workflow used everywhere else in workfront it's a click button in the task instead of in the My Work -> Approvals sectionI don't understand why the approvals are not listed on this approvals area in My Work like all other approvals are.

It would be helpful if there could be a system preference to allow project names to be alphabetized regardless if the first letter of the first word is capitalized or not. Some of our project names don't start with a capital letter, and that pushes the project name to the bottom of any list. While I understand this sorting, it would be nice if companies had the ability to turn this sorting on or off.

Thinking of how Salesforce has set up Workflow Rules functionality:The ability to create a workflow rule against any standard object or custom formThe ability, within a workflow rule, to define qualification criteria using point and click declarative logic, or creating custom formulasThe ability, within a workflow rule, to set up custom automated actions such as: email alerts/notifications; update field or object data; create a new project, task, issue, or hour entryThe ability to make workflow actions time dependent (e.g. trigger action x hours after record meets rule criteria)The ability, within a workflow rule, to evaluate the rule when a record is:CreatedCreated, and every time it's editedCreated, and any time it's edited to subsequently meet criteria

Looking for a way to add preconfigured tasks without having to "store" them in a separate template. For example, it would be nice to be able to select pre-set tasks from a drop-down list with the Add New Task functionality.

I love the functionality to be able to call out certain text by using Bold, Italics and Underline features that exist in the new Rich Text Fields. This makes is so much easier to create a space that leads the eye around the page and allows users to focus on what's important. But what about Bullets? And perhaps even the ability to indent text? This could be a total game changer in output and user experience, especially since a lot of the users are marketing folks. They exist in a world that is driven by visual queues.

As it stands right now a Group Admin (even with User editing turned on in access level) cannot edit a User's email address or federation ID. They can change everything else with that user but not those two things. So if there is a change in email or federation ID the group admin has to contact a System Admin to make this change which can cause serious delays.

I love the feature to allow the Group Administrator designation; however, it would be nice to be able to add group administration at the sub-group level, as well. Because of the structure, you may have the top-level with a very senior person who wouldn't at all be appropriate to take that role. That leaves you with a person in one of the lower groups who would then administrate for all of those groups. That would give visibility that would be at too great a level. Case in point: We have an HR Group, with three sub-groups. Those three sub-groups have various responsibilities which need to be segregated for employee protection. There is a related issue, that needs to be addressed. Currently, when adding the group administrator at the highest level (which is the only option), it still doesn't automatically give them visibility into all of the work for the sub-groups. They have to be added manually. I currently have that listed as a product error, Request # 1137107.

We want to work with more than one agile team on the same backlog for a complex product/market/solution as described in the Scrum Guide. That is necessary to keep the teams small but have all requirements in a single product backlog. Therefore we need to be able to assign more than one agile team to an task/EPIC/Story/etc. Today we can assign only one single team to a story which means it isn't visible to the other teams anymore.

We would like to use the dashboards for a more custom home view setup for our user, so that when they login they see all that they need in one place. It would be great to be able to add internal page sections to the dashboard without having to add it as an external link within an iFrame. For instance, we want to add a custom form for a new request to a dashboard. We tried this by adding it as an external page, but we found that the iFrame will refresh to the home page after the request is submitted, displaying the page within a page and confusing the user. Hoping this is something that has been considered for future development!

Requesting functionality of being able to copy Portfolios and Program folders within them. Maybe a template for Portfolios?

Currently we cannot set expiry values for individual API keys generated on Workfront, please include a feature to allow this.

When a Project's status is changed to Cancelled, everything seems to point to the fact that the project is done with. As per the system setup, this status equates with "Dead". However, the "Actual Completion Date" is not filled for that project. It is also left blank for the originating issue, when the project was converted from an issue. This causes confusion in reports when cancelled projects are analyzed, because there is no record of an actual completion date. Please fix this.

The ability to show or hide header items (Percentage Complete, Project condition, Project Owner,Custom Field data, etc) based on:User prefLayout templateGroup or teamNWE added back Project Condition where originally is was removed and only accessed through Project Details. This was a great sample of hiding a header item.

When exporting to a Project XML the task planned hours are exported but not the task's actual hours. I'd like to see this functionality added.

When you are assigning a task and begin to type a name, the list below shows the names as "Joh...Doe" for example. You then have to hover your mouse over each name to make sure you are selecting the correct one. (Same exact issue with typeahead fields as well - https://one.workfront.com/s/idea/0870z000000XhbAAAS/detail)

When I go to the New Requests page there are lots of choices available. I could go down many paths searching for the right place to put my request. I would love a way to tag the Request Queue Topic, when I find it, as a Favorite, so when I need to make a similar request again I can go right to it. I mean right to the place where I fill in the form and click Submit. Just put a star icon somewhere that I can click on and see this in a section with my other favorites, like projects and reports.

Ability to create a custom form field in a single line of text format where when a user is entering content into this field, WF can automatically identify upon saving if the value entered in that field is unique. This would be helpful for scenarios where a team is working in a shared application external to WF and uses WF as a data-entry "source of truth." Since a team is using the shared external application, having a unique identifier type field provide an error/response if the item is not unique, this would ensure duplicate items aren't added into WF.

I want to add job skills to each user so I can more granularly assign resources (beyond just job role(s)).

Is there a way to include a sort function in the notifications window? Lots of users in our environment leave notifications unread but when they are ready to access them, it's not easy to find.

In the new WF Experience you have a very handy summary box on the right of the tasks. It's a useful box that some of my users like to use BUT it closes itself when moving from project to project. Can we have a 'Pin sidebar' option on the top of that sidebar and have that user's browser remember if it is open or closed please?Right now it is a good feature that we rarely use just because it keeps closing itself. ThanksChris

Currently I need to have my PM have access to edit financial information. This means that they end up being able to see what an hour costs. While a user's specific hourly rate can be hidden, the cost information cannot be. This means for an hours report, it is very easy to determine what someone's hourly rate is, in turn, it makes it very easy for someone to determine how much someone makes.

Scenario plans lend themselves very well to making high level leadership decisions about which projects to do when. However, to get the point across a good visual is important. It would be extremely helpful to be able to print or export to PDF. Currently the only option is to screenshot the page

In many long term projects, resources are allocated very differently in different phases. We use milestones for those phases. If the milestones came in with the project import or if we could add those milestones and be able to allocate resources separately to each milestones it would make the scenario planner exponentially more useful. We would then be able to have a fairly accurate picture to be able to predict resource allocation needs.

With the addition of time off calendars, we have begun using them to collaborate on availability. A challenge we face is that only planners and admins are allowed to add events to the calendar. It would be a huge help to allow workers to also add these custom events to calendars.

In many areas of workfront the fields are type ahead fields. This is not intuitive and assumes that you have a level of setup understanding to begin typing. A good example of this is in the layout template field when creating a new user. It would be super helpful if this was a drop down//
