Hi Community, I have a situation that call for a Document or Document Version report, but I also need the report to show all the tasks in a project, including those that don't have a document attached yet.
I am having an issue with Parent Task Durations. They are currently showing in hours and I cannot figure out how to change them. I have no desire to see that a phase of my project is 1135 hours...but would love to see how many days it is! Is there a setting I am missing somewhere?
I am experimenting with custom statuses for groups. At a system level, we have Current. For my groups XYZ and 123, I renamed Current to "XYZ Current" and "123 Current" respectively. Now when I run reports where I want to see projects with a Current status, graphs now show those names collectively at all times. So instead of the graph showing there are 7 projects in Current status, it now shows there are 7 projects in Current, XYZ Current, 123 Current status. So I suppose my question is twofold:1) is there a way to show all projects but have them only appear as Current, since they are all the same status but some are just different names of the system status? so if 2 are in Current, 2 are in XYZ Current, have a graph show 4 Current (since Current is the system status).2) is there a way to show only one of those statuses in graph form? so with the same example as above, if 2 are in Current and 2 are in XYZ Current and I only want to show those in XY
Hi all- Does anyone currently report on Document Folders in any way? I'm trying to create a report that mimics the folder structure within the project but I don't see the Folder as a reportable object. Thanks!

Currently, every time an expense is logged, the user must manually add the custom form (see image below). This additional step can often be overlooked, leading to inconsistencies and incomplete data entry.I suggest a feature within template settings that allows users to select a default custom form for expense logging. Hello, I did not test, if this is a general problem, but perhaps there is a solution for this:I created a Journal Entry report, which should show how often a user made an approval decision.So I set the filter to only show the entries with the following change types:ADA, ADC, ADN, ADR ADA - enum.actiontypeenum.assetapproval.decision.approvedADC - enum.actiontypeenum.assetapproval.decision.approved.changesADN - enum.actiontypeenum.assetapproval.decision.needs.workADR - enum.actiontypeenum.assetapproval.decision.revoked To get an informative chart, I have grouped by the changeType, but unfortunately both the grouping titles and the chart labelling show enum.actiontypeenum.assetapproval.decision.* surrounded by question marks. Can I somehow change this to the three-digit abbreviations, or even better, to a customised label? Getting the three digit key in the columns is no problem by changing the type to string. Thanks in
Hello! I have a 42mb proof that has been stuck generating proof for over an hour. I didn't see any reports of outages – is this something I did or an internet issue? Has anyone else had this issue recently? I don't believe it's an upload issue because I can download the file. It's just not converting to a proof. TIA!
Is there a way for me to be notified as an admin when someone posts a new doc to a project using a specific template? Or if not by template in general when they add a new doc? I;ve been relying on folks to tell me when they add docs and it is not working consistently and these are pieces for our legal review team I need to make proofs of and route - and yes our general users can't make their own proofs, it has to go thru me or my team.
Curious how others handle this - always seems to be an issue for us. Let's say the designer (proof owner - the person who loads a proof into proofing workflow) is going on PTO and they have a proof that comes through with changes or gets approved while they are out. How best should this be handled with the person covering for them? Our designers always line up a cover person, so is it best to reassign their tasks on the project and also reassign to the cover person in WF proof on every project ahead of time (or just as the original designer goes on PTO?) We have reports/queues in place for our designers, Changes and Approved so they know which proofs have changes and which are approved and ready to move on. In the past when we've changed to the cover person, the cover person states that the project(s) don't hit their Changes or Approved queue. Are we doing something wrong in WF proof - should ownership be changed on the proof. Just not exactly sure how to do this so it just flows corre
Anyone know if there is a way to easily unarchive a project?
Sometimes I have a need to copy an issue in order to create 2 or more issues because we allow our requestors to select multiple services within a single request, but each service is managed by a different team and therefore the issue needs to be split so we can assign different project owners. From within the Issue, I click copy to: Then I get this screen and select Copy Issue I submitted a support request because I noticed that the Issue Path on these copied issues was not copying over, and I was told that by using this copy method, it is just copying the info on the issue but it doesn't use the Path that you normally use, and this is a system generated field and there isn't a way to override it. If I want the Path to show, I would need to submit a new request rather than use the "copy to" feature. My support tech recommended I submit this idea to the Innovation Lab.
I recently came across documentation that listed the new 'license types' (had no idea!). I'm trying to understand what the main difference is between 'light' and 'worker' license level. Do you have the new license type? Would you be so kind to send me a message? (Yes, yes, I know I can get more info from our AE but we haven't heard from her/him/them in.....I dont even know what their name is honestly!)
Has anyone seen where a template task has an assignment and planned hours and the planned labor cost is at a $0 even if the assignee has a job role with a cost per hour? It is also not consistent some tasks with the same assignee do have a cost.
The vast majority of users within our organization that utilize Workfront are not Project Managers and have little to no experience with project management tools but are looking for an easy alternative to Excel. As such, we don't expect these "non-technical" resources to dig into the differences between all of the available task constraint options or create flowing, linked task lists in which options like "As Soon as Possible" would apply. We always direct these users to change their task constraints to "Fixed Dates" when creating new tasks in order to have full control over "planned start" and "planned completion dates" of their tasks. This further complicates the process for already overwhelmed newcomers to the tool, and is the cause of a lot of strife for onboarding new teams. A great solution for this would be to create a settings option within "Setup -> Project Preferences -> Tasks & Issues" in which a system admin could set the default value system wide for the "Ta
We collect specific stakeholders for each project and the team would like to see that info at a glance when looking at a project rather than clicking on the custom form to find the information. Is there a way to add a custom field to the Project Overview section?

I'm a Sys Admin so can see all areas.I've checked the following: Project sharing (people and groups), project sponsor, resource manager, assignments, people area, subscription, program and portfolio sharing, company members. Hi, when an user submits a request, as far as my understanding goes, Workfront can only create an issue or task from that request.Can Workfront accomplish the two below?Can WF create a Project from a Template from that request?Can WF attach a Task Template to an existing Project?
My team is transitioning to use Gantt charts to visualize our project timelines. There are a few visualizations that we'd like but I'm unsure on which date field should I use to populate the Gantt chart.1. Launch date (a vertical line that goes straight down the calendar indicating when the project is going live)2. Start date - project (a date that will determine the start day of all tasks in the project)3. Start day - tasks (start date for tasks will be determined by this start day and start date of project. For e.g. if start date for project is 1st Jan and start day for task is 1, then the start date for task should be 2nd Jan).4. End date - tasks (how long does it take to complete a task - 1 day, 5 days, etc) I understand this might be a complicated question so any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hello, I'm creating a collection of Workfront Event Subscriptions to receive events from Workfront. I believe I looked through the documentation thoroughly and couldn't find information about monitoring your event subscriptions for failures and possible solutions for notifications when increased failures occur or a subscription has been disabled. The documentation does say, "Message delivery failure information is logged" but where and how do you access this? Also, can you set any kind of alerts for operational support? If messages are dropped within 48 hours, it important to be notified as soon as possible of errors.Any expertise on this would be much appreciated.Thanks,D
Would be great to create custom timesheet reminders based on a different sets of criteria (rather than just the 3 default options we have now). For example, it'd be great to set up notification if a timesheet is under 40 hours. Or, if a timesheet is missing notes on entries.
Please add an option to filter rules to "Include sub-tasks" when displaying the filtered tasks. Currently, the filter rule only shows matching tasks, but there's no way to filter tasks that are related by parent-child relationship. The use case is to create a view of specific parent tasks and be able to restrict the project view to just those tasks and their subtasks.
We utilise Workfront to deliver projects to our customers utilising partners and our internal team. This means per project we have different Billing rates per role, but more importantly we have different cost rates per role. I need the same ability we have to manage billing rates but for COST rates, by role, per project for defined time periods. Otherwise I need to duplicate roles per partner per project resulting in potentially thousands of unmanagable job roles.
We've had the need to add tasks and Iterations to the Typeahead field in our organization, I believe extending the functionality to include other object types will be useful. Would this be a simple implementation for the future?
