Will a proof status always stay as pending if the decision was Approved with Changes? Will this effect closing the project or making it complete? Also, I have not come across this color category.

I am creating a calendar report that spans several months. I want to be able to show the Gantt view in weeks but I don't have a way to change the ranges from a daily view. Is there a way to change the date range to months or weeks? Thanks!

Overview: I would like to be able to pull a report showing the answers to certain fields on a custom form  Background: We are an in-house marketing department. We get requests from several places (dealers, sales team members, and internal departments). I've created fields on the custom form we use for requests to distinguish where these requests are coming from. Now we'd like to start auditing when and where our requests are coming from throughout the year by building a dashboard with reports.

Hi everyone - We have a variety of sponsorships with sports/concert venues in our market. We have a project manager who works closely with our external vendor partners to fulfill the components of each sponsorship. Since many of the deliverables do not follow the same steps as our regular marketing projects because it might be reviewing copy, sending logos, or vendors are producing the deliverables, we have not been able to accurately capture all of our effort and time spent on these sponsorships in Workfront. Looking for any suggestions on how people have used WF to capture these types of sponsorships. Any help would be appreciated on how you have organized a campaign or tracked projects. We do have two basic templates in place but appreciate any additional ways we could be looking at this.

I know this is a sharing issue with a project template but I'm not how to correct it. Every time a project is created by a specific template, the entire team gets a notification. Is it because the template is shared with the team or is it because the template has the project sharing setting shared with a team?

Hi! Since I started as a System Administrator in Workfront in 2016 the reporting functionality hasn't really changed. I recall at one point there was some noise about something to do with Canvas, but when I signed up to try to get access it was rolled back. My manager frequently asks for charts, but the way the charts look in Workfront hasn't changed since I started in the tool - the user viewing experience is really poor and most of the time, he ends up putting the Workfront data into Tableau (after exporting it to excel to do some calculations that Workfront can't do like sum of task data as a % of the column total for a larger data set) As the Workfront Administrator it always pains me a bit when my team has to take the data out of Workfront and put it somewhere else. So, I'm just curious if there's been any progress made on prioritizing Workfront reporting improvements, especially but not limited to the charts. Thanks! Sydney

Is there a way to bulk update task statuses in a project? Our users have parent tasks with 10+ tasks underneath which they sometimes need to cancel if not needed as part of a particular project. They would like to just cancel the parent task and have the children underneath cancelled instead of going one by one.

We would like to have the ability to have "Private" working folders so our stakeholders can't look or share at the drafts in progress. I keep reading replies to this issue as going through Proofing as the solution. That won't work for us because our stakeholders need access to the projects within Workfront and not just access to Proofing. We could block their access to view the Documents section completely but we want them to be able to upload supporting materials if needed. For now, we are renaming the folder so they are deterred from accessing them but we know that nosey stakeholders will always be there. I have seen this as an unanswered issue for years now and I'm hoping by now there might be a solution.

We have a need to create a custom form, whose fields to be displayed  will depend on the value of a dropdown field that has a very large number of options. Which I understand is not ideal, but it's a staple in our organization. For every field we want to add display logic, there are over 35 possible dropdown selections. It would be difficult to rely on the interface to create 30+ OR statements to set the display logic of each of the fields in each of the sections. So I would like to know if there is a way to use custom expressions or text mode to apply display logic to the custom field. And if not, are there any alternative solutions or workarounds. Any idea is appreciated!(For example duplicating the display logic of an existing field and applying it to another?)Thank you.

I'm wondering if anyone knows a way to create a custom sort order on a report. Right now my report is sorted by Project Status and it's showing alphabetical but I'd like it to show in a specific order. Anyone know of an option for this?

Hi there, How do you handle meeting notes taken in one sitting for a bunch of different projects each week that have action items that will need to be planned for in future meetings? I am brand new to Workfront and in the middle of a configuration on Phase 1 for our Graphics Team (we haven't launched anything yet). However, I am already planning for Phase 3 for Product Development projects. In the product development phase we will have a Stage Gate approach set up for product development projects across many categories (Soup, Broth, Non-Dairy Beverage, etc.). I am thinking they will also be across/in their own portfolio's. We have a weekly Stage Gate meeting and any products (each product will be it's own project) that are currently needing to be approved in a certain stage need to be discussed and there are meeting notes taken at that time. Then, we would need to be able to follow up on those action items at the date agreed upon. I am wondering how people handle this in Workfront. Do

Hello, Is it possible to create a grouping with text mode in a task report that separates out tasks where the $$USER.ID is the only assignee on the tasks that hasn't marked their part as done? Or is there text mode for a column that would highlight these tasks by using a green BG color or something for tasks where $$USER.ID is the only assignee and/or when all other assignees have marked their part as done.  I am also wondering if there is a way to filter a report out so it doesn't show tasks where there are other assignees on a task that haven't marked their part as done to include that as part of a dashboard instead.  We have tasks with multiple assignees where one role has to almost always go after the other assignees so it would be helpful for them to have a view that separates out these tasks that should actually be ready for them to work on rather than monitoring the status of the other assignees. Thanks for any help you can provide!

My current production environment came with a bunch of unwanted objects created during a POC. Is it possible to move my production environment to staging and then get a clean instance of Workfront for production? Thanks, Bill

Hi I am pulling my hair out about Notifications. I've been through the list a dozen times and I can't find what I want to do. I know this is simple, I just can't find the right combination of Notifications. I'm wondering if my problem is in the personal setups vs the system setups. I can't figure it out. Nobody has yet adjusted their own notifications, so they are set to the default. #1 We are getting notifications when a task is complete and it shows the dependent tasks, whether they are "my tasks" or someone else's tasks. Nobody cares about other people's tasks, only which of MY TASKS are now due? We are not getting a notification that the dependent task is complete and now MY TASK has to start. What am I doing wrong? #2 The second thing is that when a project goes "current" every task is sent out in a separate email, even those that have due dates in a long time, and still have to wait for dependent tasks. I can't figure out how to turn those off. What should go out is a summary of

Is there a way to add columns to a Project's board view? Currently, I can only edit three columns. Is there a way to add more columns?

We are experiencing a persistent issue with Workfront where the date format has changed to the US format, and the currency setting has switched to GBP instead of the pound symbol(£). Despite multiple attempts to amend the User Locale settings to English (UK), the settings do not save and keep reverting back to English (United States). Has anyone else encountered this issue or have any suggestions for resolving it? Thank you!

Hello. I've created a report to show the # of proof that need to be validated.  That field is being pulled from a custom form.  How do I get the details and matrix (13-month rolling) to match up?  The numbers are different on the matrix (wrong here) than the details page (right #s). Thanks.Tracy

I could not find a community group for general questions, so I am posting here as I am a WF admin. I am trying to submit a support ticket, but can't as the Case Description field won't let me enter text.  And I can't submit w/o filling in the field. And I can't submit a ticket to report the issue with submitting a support ticket, because that would require me to enter a Case Description.  Catch-22, so that's why I'm here.

Wondering if there is a way to make a view where I can see how many tasks/approvlas are in different queues on one page to get a snapshot of how teams are capacity wise.
