Adobe Workfront General

It is very useful when assigning work to be able to see and sort the unassigned work by the project priorities (ie portfolio priority field) so that the most important work gets assigned first and foremost. Thus it would be very useful to have the portfolio priority for the project displayed for the unassigned work with the capability to sort the unassigned work by the project's portfolio priority

Exporting a Report With About 11K Projects' Items to Excel xlsx Generates 504 Timeout Web Server Error. Many attempts can result in getting the same 504 error. Eventually, the export does complete.Performance is an issue with NWE. Here is another place where Development should improve the product.

PART 11 -- ELECTRONIC RECORDS; ELECTRONIC SIGNATURES Subpart C--Electronic Signatures Sec. 11.100 General requirements. (a) Each electronic signature shall be unique to one individual and shall not be reused by, or reassigned to, anyone else. (b) Before an organization establishes, assigns, certifies, or otherwise sanctions an individual's electronic signature, or any element of such electronic signature, the organization shall verify the identity of the individual. (c) Persons using electronic signatures shall, prior to or at the time of such use, certify to the agency that the electronic signatures in their system, used on or after August 20, 1997, are intended to be the legally binding equivalent of traditional handwritten signatures. (1) The certification shall be submitted in paper form and signed with a traditional handwritten signature, to the Office of Regional Operations (HFC-100), 5600 Fishers Lane, Rockville, MD 20857. (2) Persons using electronic signatures shall, upon

We would like the default selection for a field to be a custom form setting and not a custom field setting, just like required field logic works. For example, we have a "Region" field that we use across many different custom forms for reporting purposes. If that Region field is used on a form that is specifically for Northern Europe, we would like to have the selection default to "Northern Europe" only on that particular form, not across all forms.

Please use the parameter label instead of the name.We have a large library of custom fields that follows a naming convention that would not make sense to most of our users. The naming convention is required to keep control and avoid duplicates. We also avoid changing the name to prevent reports/views/groupings/filters from breaking. When building reports, we would prefer the chart pulls the 'label' vs. 'name'.

Days marked as Time-Off should not be allowed for inputting hours, to be shown in-active/grey-out in TimeSheets. This gives the valid hours-input to the WF system and helps for effective resource management.

Clicking into an email notification from Workfront doesn't link the system. Does this have to do with SAML authentication or SSO? Update From Workfront Support: Workfront reports these are one of the drawbacks using SSO. If a user is not previously authenticated to Workfront (before the timeout), the system doesn't know if it is an internal, or external user, so it redirects them to the SSO system for authentication. This is really no way for the system to distinguish of the usr should be an SSO user for or outside user until they type in credentials. Again, they've suggested for this to be included as an enhancement request from our end.

One unfortunate discovery after transitioning our setup to take advantage of Subgroups, is that a Subgroup cannot have its own custom statuses. In the same way that Groups inherit the System-wide statuses and can have additional custom statuses; Sub-groups should inherit their parent Group's statuses, and have the ability for their own additional statuses. When we have a small team that is part of a large group that needs custom statuses, we have to choose to either make them a separate group (which introduces other challenges), or make their collection of custom statuses available to the larger group, which gets very messy and introduces confusion.

When @-tagging only first/last name appears. Suggest adding another distinguisher (email address or roll-over profile info.?) so that it is easier to distinguish the correct "John Smith" from all the "John Smiths". This may be especially helpful to groups like ours using SSO because we cannot provide distinguishing names in the user profile that will survive the next login when SSO is re-authenticated.

As part of depreciation of legacy resourcing tool, 'Project: budgeted hours' field no longer displays data for budgeted hours. Pulling this field into a project view displays '0', even if budgeted hours are set up in the new resourcing planner. This means project managers cannot see their allocated 'bucket of hours' against their planned and actual hours within their Workfront plans, forcing them to look at three different places at once (WF plan + resourcing planner + utilization tool) and therefore adding in unnecessary additional clicks and time. This also prevents us adding a calculated custom field to each project plan which gives an at-a-glance running total of budgeted hours remaining as planned hours are added. As we begin moving all our resourcing efforts into the platform, this would be an essential element to enable project managers to understand their allocation and plan their hours accordingly.

We often use the "star" feature to sort out projects that are most urgent so that these schedules are at PM's finger tips. Would it be possible to set up a status report that shows these starred projects at a glance?

My business area uses Projects that need unique names, as each Project is tied to a specific product. For us, when the same Product project is imported via Kickstart into our workflow it doesn't break anything - if we catch it we remove the extra and only one will go through the workflow. However, at the end of the season we then have a lot of open product projects that we need to circle back and see if they are duplicates or are truly missed. Right now, I just run reports of the projects and group by project name and investigate any of the groupings with more than (1). Having a "is/is not Unique" option when searching by project name (a text field) would be incredible as then I can search for just the offenders, similar to is/is not Blank.

One of the most irritating issues in Workfront over the years that I have used it is the default display rows are set to 100. Very often you start analyzing data in either a project task list or a report and much later realizes that you are not looking at ALL the data. Could the default displayed rows become a feature where each customer can decided how to set the amount or can you at least make the default displayed rows more than 100? If the latter, I would at least suggest 1000 rows.

When I use the portfolio/program or project filter on the Workload balancer without a user specific filter, all the users in the system are shown, not just the users that are associated with that portfolio/program/projects in that portfolio. This not intuitive and not what a user is expecting when they use this filter.

The "Open Summary" capability is a valuable time-saver when working on tasks within a task list within a project. We recommend adding that capability to dashboards with "Task" reports so that tasks can be worked on right from a dashboard instead of clicking on the dashboard task and then working from within the project.

It would be extremely useful to see the impact of editing an issue, task or project approval process before we make the edits. For example, when editing an issue approval process, I would like to see if that process is associated with any queue topics in the system. Similarly, if I am editing a task approval process, I would like to see if this process is currently attached to any template tasks. This would help us update approval processes more quickly and maintain a clean list of approval processes in the system.

We would like to see the total revenue for the budgeted resource, or the labor cost, or both in the Business Case. This opens the platform to companies that charge for time budgeted on projects; not just the bottom line.

We would like the field "Primary Contact" to be added to the New Work Request notification. In the example, it is already part of the Issue Added notification. This is used for our helpesk ticketing system and has been requested by the IT Manager.

I've searched endlessly but don't think this topic is out there yet. I would like a person with Manage permission on an object to remove just ONE inherited permission on the object. For example: A document that you wish to limit access to. You may not want to remove ALL inherited permissions because some people with inherited permissions do require access. This is just one idea of many with the theme "We need more customization and privacy setting options at every level."

In Workfront New Experience, when one clicks on the Campaign tab does not have the default views of "Projects I Own/Projects I'm On/All Projects/Templates".Whilst it is possible to create Reports/Dashboards to replicate these views and add custom sections that contain these dashboards, the interface that allows users to create new campaigns is only available in the original and default 'Projects' view.Users need access to the various views and the ability to easily access the 'New Project' feature, without having to click around the screen to access different views. Users also want a consistent represemntation of filters across the various views.

•Scenario: The system only captures the name of the associate on proof decisions but does not capture their role at the time of decision. If the user changes roles there is no way to see what they historically approved as another role. This is very inefficient for our audits and regulatory requirements •Solution: capture role changes of associates throughout their use of the WF Tool. This information would be captured on their profile.

While teaching boot camps we've noticed frustration of labeling and designating in the Team area when creating a new team. If you navigate to the team area and click on the team dropdown there is the option of "Create Team" which is how someone that's not an admin but has those permissions would create a new team. The issue with the display here is that there isn't anything designating this as an action and it just looks like any other team called the Create Team or something like that.I suggest adding one or more of the following changes:Add a plus symbol "+" prior to "Create Team" so it reads "+ Create Team"Add a line dividing it from the teams in the dropdown so it's clearly separateRename it so it appears something like "+ Create a New Team"Attaching image for reference:Note: Create Team is highlighted because I was hovering over it while taking the screen shot.

Subscriptions are helpful, but currently only capture a portion of what is going on with the task or issue. Status and condition changes represent a core part of the item's progress and it would be very helpful keep folks apprised of what is going on by having subscriptions push out a notification if the item's status or condition changes. In our organization we often have people interested when and issue closes or just generally where an issue is in the a workflow. Having subscriptions keep them updated would be great.Thanks.

The current reminder notifications are almost impossible to set up correctly.Current Reminder Notification Settings Panel. We propose Workfront use the existing "Send Report - Repeating Deliveries" functionality and add this to the timesheet notification reminder settings panel.Proposed Reminder Notification Settings Panel. This would allow the user to set repeatable notifications that trigger at a set time based on the criteria (respecting the System Locale). For example, a task passed its completion date will trigger a custom reminder notification daily at 12:00 GMT. A timesheet user has not submitted their timesheet will receive a weekly reminder on Monday morning, 10:00 AM GMT until they have completed their timesheets.

As people complete tasks (potentially in less time than planned), it would be very beneficial if the Workload Balancer would adjust what it shows based on the logged time. So, for example, if something is planned for 5 hours over 5 days, and they log 3 hours on the first day, it would then adjust the remaining 2 hours over the four days.
