Description - It would be helpful if the Documents tab didn't need to be open to drag and drop a file to it.Why is this feature important to you - After entering an update on the Updates tab users go find the documents they want to attach while dragging and dropping they realize they forgot to click on the Documents tab so they must escape out of the drag and drop, switch back to the Updates tab, click the Documents tab, then get the files again to drag and drop them on the task/project. They forget it doesn't work like Windows File Explorer, which disrupts the workflow. How would you like the feature to work - Ideally, we would be able to drag and drop attachments directly by hovering over the Documents tab, like Windows File Explorer.Current Behaviour - Dragging a document and hovering over the Documents tab shows "+ Copy” but dropping it without opening the Documents tab either opens the document you're wanting to add or downloads it depending on its type. Thank you!
Description - The ability to retrieve team assignments via the API. Currently, you have to use the "unsupported API".Why is this feature important to you - We want to trigger a Fusion automation based on assignments. If you have more than one team assigned, you currently can't access these assignments via the APIHow would you like the feature to work - The unsupported version is fine, but would like it to be "supported"Current Behaviour - You only have access to "teamID" which only shows one assigned team. Or you have to use the "unsupported API"
Hi Everyone! Here is the information about how to link directly to a custom form that I was discussing at the user group last week. First create a calculated field on a custom form that you would like to reference. Paste this code into the calculation field: CONCAT("https://{your domain}.my.workfront.com","/","issue/view?ID=",ID,"&activeTab=form-customdata") The custom form I am referencing is stored at the Issue object level, you will need to change issue to project or task if you are trying to reference one of those objects. Then on any report add this text mode field. case.0.comparison.icon=false case.0.comparison.leftmethod=DE:Element custom form link case.0.comparison.lefttext=DE:Element custom form link case.0.comparison.operator=cicontains case.0.comparison.operatortype=string case.0.comparison.righttext=https: case.0.comparison.truetext=View element specs displayname=Element Specs link.isnewwindow=true link.url=customDataLabelsAsString(Element custom form link) linkedname=direc
Has anyone been playing around with the new Priorities area in preview? I can't seem to be able to log in as another user to see what their Priorities area looks like for them.
Hello, I recently added two new users and assigned them to the same layout template as a multiple of other users. The new users don't have the column filter in the project and task widgets like the others do. I can't figure out why. Does anyone have any insight as to how to have the column added back in? I attached a screenshot of what the new user has, and a screen shot of what the column should be. Thank you.
I have a user is set up as a planner in the system and they are currently having an issue where they aren't able to mark any of their tasks as completed, despite the attached custom for allowing users with Manage or Contribute status having that right (see below). I am also unable to change the share status of this user to allow them the ability to Manage or Contribute when I turn off the inherited permissions and manually assign them to the share list. Currently the inherited permission for this user is set to View only. And this is what I see whenever I add them in manually, with Inherited Permissions turned off: I assumed that as the sys admin, I should be able to make the necessary change to correct this, but I am kind of hitting a wall as to what I can actually do here. I don't PM any requests, so any changes I make would be independent of the project owner, but at the moment, I am the only one who chan change the task status for this user, other than t
In both my original template and in my subsequent projects, there are some tasks where the system will not let me reset the duration to Zero days. These tasks are marked "As Soon As Possible", with no planned hours and set to Simple calculation. Additionally, there is another task with the exact same predecessor, literally everything the same, that the system WILL allow me to set to Zero day duration. I'm not sure why it keeps resetting it to 1 after I've set it to Zero. I appreciate your help, as this is becoming a pain point!

Our team is trying to encourage better collaboration amongst copywriters/designers and would like to start having 1 task that is assigned to the both of them so they can easily see who they are working with rather than 2 separate tasks for Copy & Design. Doing this seems to be throwing off our Planned Hours reporting for each user. Is there a way to allocate Planned Hours on 1 task that is assigned to multiple users? For example: a task that has 8 hours assigned to it; we want 3 of those hours for the Copywriter & 5 of those hours for the designer. Or is the only option to keep these as separate tasks? Also open to other suggestions for anyone that may have a similar process 🙂
Currently, the PTO calendar works on hourly increments, however, the delegation option works in full-day increments only. If someone is out on "Friday morning" the only way they could delegate approvals for Friday is to set it up for the full day and turn it off when they arrive. If they're off in the afternoon the only way to delegate is to way until they're ready to leave & delegate approvals. It would make sense that if you can enter PTO in partial days (hourly, even) that you could set up your delegation to match in time increments.

Hi All,I've created a concat formula that pulls in multiple typeahead fields. What I'm trying to figure out is how to display a comma if more than one typeahead field has been filled out, but not to display a comma if there's only one field being populated.
Is there a way to show the actual person's name in the data column for the Entered By ID in a task report?
Description -The ability to display a thumbnail in an issue reportWhy is this feature important to you - Issues are being used to report bugs/defects by our testing department. Sometimes screenshots and documents are uploaded to help with this testing. It would be great if a thumbnail could be seen on a report to prevent users from having to go into the issue to see this supporting documentation. How would you like the feature to work -Allow display of a document/screenshot within a report through text modeCurrent Behaviour - Link can be shown in a report and quick link can be added to get to the document but an image cannot be displayed.
I wonder if someone can help me with some text mode. One of my teams uses an Issue Report to track incoming work. They add notes to a column in that Report titled Sportsbook Content Notes.Later on in the process these Issues are converted into Projects and the team have a Task within that Project. They then look at a Task Report to track their work. Is there some text mode that would allow me to pull the field from the Issue Report into the Task Report even if the Custom Field is not attached to any of the Objects? Or would it need to appear in a Custom Form somewhere? Thanks in advance!

Description - In My Tasks, the tasks do not display the timestamp when a task is due to start and end.Why is this feature important to you - Our teams work by the hour and have tasks that are due throughout the day. Rarely, we have tasks that last the full business day. My concern is that users will not use the Home and will rely on reports with this not being visible to them as it is not clear what tasks need to be completed first for the day.How would you like the feature to work - Add the start and end date timestamps to be visible.Current Behaviour - Does not exist Including the Priorities idea here as well as these are related: https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/workfront-ideas/priorities-display-time-when-task-is-due-to-start-and-end/idi-p/708345
We were able to create a text mode grouping and the result looks good on the details tab but the bar chart shows a single entity with count as 'No Value'. Is this issue only for me? Am I missing anything here or Is there a way to pull that text mode grouping in the chart view with proper values?
Good morning! I am creating a dashboard for a meeting where it has been requested to have a report or calendar showing what each schedule's exceptions are. We have various countries working and we want to pull a report/calendar into a dashboard that shows that India has schedule exceptions for 10/31 & 11/1 while also including our US exceptions for Thanksgiving. I'm very new to writing reports and was wondering if there is a relatively easy way to achieve this in either a calendar or a report. Thanks!
There needs to be a better way for a user to manually trigger a fusion flo without having to know which field to edit. Some kind of button. Otherwise flos occaisionally lag and create confusion.
Description - before the new release on October 17th, Reports had a button called "Show Filters". Please add this back! Why is this feature important to you - having a button you can use to quickly show/hide the report's filters empowered users to know exactly what the report was pulling, without having to go into the Edit page (more clicks, navigates away from data, takes time to load). It also empowered me as a SysAdmin to quickly triage issues or provide explanations without having to click more, navigate away, etc.How would you like the feature to work - add back the Show Filters button that expands and collapses a summary of the report's filtersCurrent Behaviour - button has been removed with October 17th release I would like to note that in my Production environment, I am still seeing this button. However, in Preview, in others' Production environments, and according to the Release Notes, it should be gone. I am submitting this Idea on the assumption that it is intended to be
When you attach a new template to an existing project it makes the changes as one would expect but there is no record of this occurring. I would consider this a bit of a security issue and so do a number of teams I work with.An update should be made to track any changes. Reporting wise and in the longer term would it be possible to have a more robust recording of this.
I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, but I know in Salesforce there is more flexibility with filters when it comes to being able to copy and paste field values from a list. There is also more flexibility to add multiple contains values without having to do multiple or statements within the report builder. Has anyone requested this before? (the copy and pasting of values would also be really handy in the custom form builder dropdown options)
