How can I set up a request queue that allows the team to convert some requests to Projects and others to a Kanban Board?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to configure a request queue for a small new Design team in Workfront that can route incoming requests into a project or kanban board

  1. Campaigns (projects
  2. Design Requests  (A Kanban board).

Has anyone set up a request queue that allow the team to do both?
The work types are in one form as a dropdown)

I’ve not worked with Boards before and not sure if to make them an agile team if they want to use both. Any advice on the best way to do this would be great…..I don’t want to use fusion and the team are happy to convert manually but I'd rather the design request went directly to the Board.

Thanks in advance!

As Lindsey mentioned, projects and boards are functionally different things.

My suggestion would be to route the requests to a project and then either set the view on the project as an agile board view or you can create a dynamic board that the team can use to monitor their work.

Here’s a little video on how boards work in Workfront.

Hi, Rebecca. Boards are essentially a view of the data, so one user can look at the tabular view and another can look at a board without messing with your request queue build. It’s all about user preference.

Thanks for this. We ended up using a dynamic board.😀
