Enhancement Request – Copy an Issue Directly Between Queue Topics

Hello Adobe Workfront Support Team,

We would like to submit a product enhancement request for Adobe Workfront Request Queues.

Current situation

We have one Request Queue project containing multiple Queue Topics. Occasionally, users need to copy an existing issue from one Queue Topic to another Queue Topic within the same project.

The copied issue must retain its existing information, including:

  • Issue name and description

  • Custom forms and custom-field values

  • Documents

  • Assignments

  • Updates, where permitted

  • Primary Contact

  • Relevant permissions

The standard Copy to functionality allows users to select the same or another project, but it does not provide an option to select a destination Queue Topic. The Copy and Submit as New process requires users to open the copied request form and manually select the destination Queue Topic before submitting it.

Requested enhancement

Please consider adding a native option that allows users to:

  1. Select an existing issue.

  2. Click Copy to.

  3. Keep the same Request Queue project.

  4. Select a different destination Topic Group and Queue Topic.

  5. Choose which related information should be copied.

  6. Create the new issue directly under the selected Queue Topic in a single operation.

The original issue should remain unchanged, and the copied issue should receive a new issue ID while retaining the selected custom data.

Business benefit

This enhancement would reduce manual work, prevent requests from being placed under the wrong Queue Topic, preserve data consistency and eliminate the need for a separate Workfront Fusion automation for a standard request-management operation.

Could you please confirm:

  1. Whether this functionality is currently supported through another native option.

  2. Whether it is already included in the Workfront product roadmap.

  3. If not, whether this request can be submitted to the Workfront product team as a future enhancement.
