Project report by assignments

Hello, I'm trying to get a project-level report that can be grouped by the individual person assigned to it so my Resource Manager can have a count of # of projects a person is working on at any given time. The Resource Planner doestn' give a count, so that's why I'm building a report. My instinct is that this is a project report, but perhaps it can be pulled from some other kind of object?
