How to build a Custom Sort in a Column

I have a column I am wanting to sort by in a specific order (not alphebetically). Is there any way I can do this with custom text mode?

Example: Column is Food. Options are: Apple, Banana, Carrot. I want them sorted in the following order: Banana, Apple, Carrot.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
