[Event Follow-Up] Understanding Unified Approvals: Direction, Reporting, and What’s Next – 3/26/26
A HUGE thank you to
As discussed today, access to Unified Approvals will be based on your Workfront contract renewal date, but if you want to get access earlier, reach out to your account team to see if you can recontract early!
Below are a summary, links to the slide deck, recording, and resources!
Senior Product Manager Mike Engel shared updates on the new Unified Approvals experience, bringing enhanced review and collaboration tools for both video and non-video assets. Mike demo’d the new experience, including annotation and collaboration tools. He also discussed the transition, which will allow teams to adopt it in stages (using both legacy and new approvals, as needed) as well as potential future capabilities.
Resources from the chat:
- Reminder on feature availability: Multi-stage on Legacy Workfront is available with the Q2 release on April 16 (does not require a contract). Learn more about creating an approval workflow template for documents.
- For those attending Summit, there will be a lab covering a lot of this with some hands-on exercises: Accelerate Review and Approval with Workfront and Frame.io
- We’ve also launched a GroupMe chat to connect Workfronters in person at Summit! Learn more here.
- Helpful Documentation (more is coming, stay tuned!):
- Unified approvals overview
- Create a review and approval dashboard (need to be a part of the Canvas Dashboards beta)
- Just added 3/27:
- For high-level overviews that may be helpful for stakeholders, check out this new blog, The end of review chaos – how unified review and approval is transforming content workflows, and the feature overview page for review and approve.
