Automatically filter a report - date descending

Hi all, hope someone can help out. I've set up a new report to show requests coming into the system with some extra columns/info that aren't displayed on the generic requests tab. I'd like it to display newest to oldest, date descending, before I share with others at my org but can't seem to find a way to do this. Is this possible?

it should be fairly simple, go to edit mode of the report, select date/time field you want to use for sorting and define how you want this to work:
