Adobe Workfront

This may be a dumb question, but I feel like I'm going crazy. I am try to go through all of our projects and update all the portfolio, Program, and Company information. When I try to fill in the Program, no options are appearing. I have double checked that the groups are all the same and that the program is listed as active. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!  

We noticed that the reference number assigned to an issue is now changing once converted to a project. Anyone else have this problem? 

After our first week of testing, I thought I'd share some of the questions and learnings that have come up from my team and see if anyone else has items they think the rest of the community should know as well. Old Personal Tasks - I had a worried user that turned out to be putting information into the descriptions, and uploading documents on her personal tasks created through the old home UI. While those tasks do appear in the new To-dos widget, the description/documents were not accessible and she thought they'd been deleted. Her notes were right where she left them, and she just needed to know how to get to the actual personal project that holds them. Delegated Tasks/Issues - While you can delegate tasks and issues from the My Tasks or My Issues widget, items that have been delegated TO you do not appear there. At this time, the only place we've found them to appear is My Work. Neither widget has a marker for 'Delegated to/from _________', although the My Work widget does

Did I miss an announcement that Adobe had changed the Q4 release to the 16th instead of the 17th? The new Home UI and Priorities were suddenly both live in our Production environments this morning, and the old worklist URL now will only redirect to the workspaces one. 

Has anyone sent any communications about the upcoming change from worklist to the New Home Workspace to their users? Specifically, looking to make them aware of the change, offer to answer any questions, and to inform them not to use it until we provide more information. (in a nicer way, of course) @amyyo1 - any contributions?

Hi! I am running into an issue with text mode rules for a project report that references nested tasks.  listmethod=nested(tasks).lists Is it possible to apply a conditional formatting within this list method? Essentially, if there is no matching task I want the box to be greyed or have an icon. However when I apply the text mode coding that works in a traditional column, the text mode column shows the coding in plain text.

Hi! I have lines of business as queue topics on my request form. Is there any way that I can have display logic make a custom field appear if a certain line of business and or queue topic is selected?  Thank you in advance!JM

Hi team, Has anyone exported Workfront report data to Tableau using Fusion? We are currently building out multiple Fusion scenarios that align with different use cases we have and this is one we are considering for our next build. I'm building a scenario--triggered when fields on an issue-based custom form are updated--to change the issue status and record the date of the change in a custom field (DE:TestSubmittedDate).I decided to try out the newer Update a record module (instead of the Update a record (Legacy) module), and it looks like the only way to map a custom field value is to choose a relevant form from the Attach Custom Form option--is this correct?I checked the documentation for the module and for the Attach Custom Form option, it reads "Select the custom forms that you want to attach to the new record. After you select the form, enter the data for the fields on that form." (emphasis mine)Uh... I'm updating an existing record--not creating a new one.  And since the scenario is triggered by changes to the custom form fields, obviously the custom form is already attached.This doesn't appear to cause problems with my scenario, but the option name and supporting documentation are awkward, at best.

Hi All,Just wondering if anyone is experiencing changes that I'm having.Used to be, when a scenario was triggered and running you could click into scenario and watch in real-time.  You could also click on the return bubbles and see data.Now it seems you have to wait until the scenario is completed and the history is written.Does anyone have this same experience?  Or is my system just messed up? thanks,Kelly

How do updates for the Workfront Plugin for Outlook get communicated? I understand they are automatic. Are updates included in the regular Workfront release notes? How are patches pushed out/communicated?

I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to track retainer hours that are specific to user role that is assigned to a specific Portfolio.Right now this is a manual process We have a custom field on a Portfiolio that we manually adjust based on the addition of new Freelancers Ideally what we would want is – if we onboard a new freelance – say 200 hours – this would automatically update the specific Retainer based on the Portfolio the Freelancer is being assigned – to reflect the additional hours. 3 - Followup to this – is there a way to create a report:Is there a way to automate tracking a business line’s retainer hours, and then create a combination chart to show against hours burned? 

Hello,I'm working with a project with several tasks that have 10,000 Days as a Planned Duration.  The project is set to Complete with a Planned Start Date of 8/4/17 and a Planned Completion Date of 1/1/20.  The Task Settings are: Task Constraint= ASAP, Commit Date = 1/1/20, Planned Completion Date=9/30/24, Act. Start Date=1/1/20, Actual Completion Date =9/30/24, Duration Type = Calculated Assignment with a Duration of 1960 Days and 650 hours. The Projected Completion Date is 2/22/2063.   The task is a parent task.  There are no predecessors assigned to the task.   Could someone tell me how to change the task's planned duration to something less than 10,000 days?  I cannot update the field.   

We've been trying to get this question answered since May via Support/our AE and have not received any responses. Hoping a fellow customer can help us out instead. Does anyone know if the AI Agreement can be signed specifically for the Workfront product only, or does it need to be signed for your entire suite of Adobe products at once? We're in the position where we do not run the Admin Console within our org and are only responsible for Workfront - if the agreement is for all of our products, it would be a much bigger can of worms than simply the product we're responsible for.

Hello,As a group admin, I work in several different request queues. While I love the "sticky" preferences for most things in Workfront - I don't love it for request queues. Each queue has it's own set of views and groupings that works best for it and when I move to another request queue, I have to change all of it each time. I move back and forth between 4 request queues all day and having to change the settings each time is frustrating. Anyone know if you can turn off that "sticky" function just for request queues? If not, any work around that someone has come up with?

Hi All,this is rather generic question about how to best handle a high number of search results.The Workfront Search module in Fusion gives you the option to set a limit on the number of search results returned, but what if I need all matching records and the number can be high (several hundreds)? For example, I need to pull a list of all Assignments in a project and process each of them. For a large and complex project with many tasks this list can be extensive.How can I make sure that all matching records are returned and processed, while not risking to reach the 40 minutes runtime limit, etc.Is there a way to obtain and process them in batches?Any ideas are appreciated.Thanks,Tibor

Looking to see if anyone has developed a process to streamline new user setup process within Workfront? We currently have a streamlined process (aka intake form) for new users who need access to Workfront. We utilized the Adobe admin console and are aware of the auto provision feature. We currently have 24 active access levels, numerous layout templates, home groups, etc. We are looking to streamline how to assign the correct access levels, layout template, etc. to a new user. We ask the user if there is an existing user that we can mirror them after, and that helps in some cases. As our instance has grown larger (2,000+ users). We are finding it more challenging to set up users with what they need the first time. There ends up being trial and error and some back and forth between new user and the primary system admin. We have created a detailed google sheet outlining what each access level can do and have considered adding in group admins to review suggested access levels but hav

Just came across an issue with the updates area and would love to know how to fix it. When we assign folks to a project and they start to communicate with each other through updates and later another member of the team is assigned, they can't see the previous updates. Is there a way for those added later to see the previous updates commentary? Thanks, Sinead

We have built out automated proof workflows, which after much testing and tweaking, seem to be working well. However, if a project gets stalled or put on hold, what is the best way to also put the proof on hold? Right now, it is stuck in stakeholder approval and shows up in their dashboard in "My Approvals" section. I don't want to delete the proof entirely, as it currently has 10 versions with comments that we'll need once the project is reactivated, but I want to clear this out of my stakeholders dashboard. Any tips on the best way to do this? Hello!I'm wondering how agencies, internal marketing teams manage the requirements for Developers and Direct Mail. Since many of these requirements e.g. Audience, data files, counts, specs, etc are only relative to select team members, do you store this on SharePoint for them? I don't see the value of having this in Workfront. Can you please share your thoughts?thanksJennifer

Hi Everyone, I ran into an interesting problem where I wanted to trigger AWS lambda from Workfront Fusion which was protected. As far as I can see for now there is an option to create signature but only two are available and there is no AWS4-HMAC-SHA256. Also there are only modules for S3 buckets but none for lambda at the moment.I appreciate any input.
