Adobe Workfront

Short of it -- was able to edit the Planned Hours field, in a submitted Request's Details Overview section, for a Request not in New - pending status. As of this morning, I cannot. Unsure if this is affecting others. I have input a ticket. Long of it - I (sys admin, supposedly full rights) have been doing this successfully for years as the auto-duration puts in the full workday hours for that duration which is inaccurate for ALL of our Requests. We have multiple queues - some that are worked as requests and some that get converted to Projects once approved. To ensure we're not over allocating time to staff (users, roles or teams) it is critical that we are able to change this. In fact, I believe it has even been recommended to be by both prior consultant and within one or more of the many webinars I very gratefully attend. For the requests that will become Projects, I change the status to awaiting feedback - edit assignment, planned hours, and clean up custom fields as needed

We have repeatedly experienced a sync issue between the Proof module and the My Approvals widget. Proofs that have already been approved still show up in the widget as if they are awaiting a decision. Sometimes proofs that are awaiting a decision never appear. This is not a one‑off bug. Over the last 5 months, we've seen this happen at least 4‑5 times. It’s unpredictable and random, which makes it worse- we cannot reliably know whether the widget is telling the truth. To manage this, I have to manually review each proof listed in the widget, check against the actual proof status, and then open support cases when discrepancies are found. This wastes time that could be spent on productive work. More worryingly, this kind of inconsistency damages trust in Workfront. Senior management is a reluctant user already; each time the widget shows an incorrect state, it erodes his confidence in the system, making adoption and reliance less likely. I have a User who would like to share a calendar to their team that has several groupings. They would like to have the calendar open by default withonly one grouping selected and visible. The other groupings are for "further reference" if the users are curious but the idea is that they would be "unselectected". If the calendar creator unselects 4 groupings and leaves 1 grouping selected and shares that calendar out, is that how it will open for the other users (until they starting clicking!). I believe we have seen mixed resuylts on this.

I'm trying to have a column at my Program level and Project level to show me what task we are on, who it's assigned to and the due date. I started with the text mode below but it's not working for me. Hello, I would like to download the binary of a document via the API to get a blob object. Is this somehow possible? I cannot find the corresponding information using the API-explorer.I know, that I can retrieve the field downloadURL, but using this requires to be logged in to Workfront. Thanks in advance. RegardsLars

I have a Proof Approval report set up, and it has columns that show key information like Approver Decision, and the Decision Date, but I'm wondering if there's a way to pull in something like proof has notes/comments, comments exist = true/false, etc. Reason being is that we often have reviewer/approvers who will leave comments but forget to make a decision, thus the proof will sit there until the project owner manually reviews.  Is such a column possible? I've played around with several text mode options and for the life of me cannot figure out to achieve this. Any input is greatly appreciated!

Dear All, I’m working on digitizing our product specifications (currently managed offline) and I’m testing custom forms to see what can replace our existing workflow. One key part is that I’m trying to centralize raw material characteristics and similar data within specific project/s, then have the custom forms elsewhere to pull in that data dynamically when required.  I’ve built the following TEST setup, and it’s very close to what I need but it still has a few issues. Project 1 contains a form consisting of a Single line text field “Product Code”.  Users enter “Product Code” value manually, for example 12345ABCDE Project 2 contains a form consisting of:Typeahead field “Project Name v1” returning Project 1 among other projects within the same portfolio/programExternal lookup field “Project Name v2” returning Project 1 among other projects within the same portfolio/programExternal lookup fields returning “Product Code” value based on project selected

Hi All, I seem to recall that typeahead fields used to display as Clickable link / Hyperlink to the referenced object on the custom form, similar to how they appear in reports. It looks like this behaviour has been removed or changed. I was trying to find some information about this in the documentation and release notes, but couldn’t locate anything. Could someone refresh my memory on this? Kind regards,Lukasz

 Created a task report, filtering and grouping by Home Team ID. However, the groupings are showing as a random string of numbers and letters. Any way to pull in the actual Home Team ID so we know which drop down is which?

For email intake to a request queue:If there is formatting in the body of the email it's being lost when it loads to Workfront. I tested bold, italic and underline and the text all loaded as regular text. Is this the expected behaviour as the body of the email becomes the description which doesn't allow formatted text?  Is there any way around this?

Has anyone noticed that Workfront no longer saves a comment you've started? For example, if you're typing a comment and navigate to another link within the project, the text doesn't remain in the commend field like it used to.

Hello, In the screen shot below I am parsing json to separate values from a typehead field. When trying to put the @ symbol in front of the username it does not tag the user in Workfront updates section but simply an @ symbol which does not tag the user in the regular highlighted blue format. Is there a way to @ the user correctly in the updates section because the result is not rendering and tagging the person in my update. Please refer to second screen shot of how it is appearing. We have in-project requests for extra resource to be added to the project. Once approved, the new task template is added. The task template has a folder structure attached to it which matched all the other tasks in the workflow. However, when adding the new template task, it seems to duplicate the folder structure at project level aswell.Is there a way to not have the folders duplicated at project level and why does it so this?

Has anyone successfully created a scenario that attaches multiple docs to one email?  I have been working on a scenario to be able to attach multiple files from one folder to an email but am running into a roadblock. I have been experimenting with the iterator, aggregator and variable modules. When I test, the email will only attach one document but I can see in the aggregator that it did create 1 bundle with all files found in the folder. I am not sure if I am missing something in my setup with the email attachment setup. Also, I am new to using the iterator, aggregator and variables so maybe I am not setting up something correctly. For context, I need to be able to attach docs to the email as we have users on our email distro that are not in Workfront and we do not need them to be. Thank you for any help in advance.  Current scenario set up:  Aggregator result: Email Result: only will bring in 1 file as an input instead of multiple fi

Hello, I have calculated fields in my request form to capture the name of the person who put in the request and their home team. When this form was setup in implementation, we put a "Requestor Team Override" field that is visible to admins only, in the event we need to update the requestor team. Hi,  We are nearing our storage limit in Workfront and I've been spending time clearing out documents and various other bits to reduce the risk of actually hitting the limit and then being unable to upload new docs. Ideally we don't want to get to the point of needing to pay for additional storage. We use AEM Assets linked to Workfront so this should be used for storing nearly everything (except for Proofs which we do through Workfront), but users haven't been great at this in the past so we are working through moving files saved in Workfront to AEM to help free up some space. I wondered if anyone with experience in this area might have any tips that could help?   Hi folks,   While updating them mechanics of our Executive Status Report solution, I hit the age-old question of whether the computer (i.e. Workfront) or the human (i.e. the PM) should decide what to report as the official project condition, with -- for context -- condition in this case referring generically to "How is it going?" (e.g. Green / Yellow / Red).
