Recommendations activity issue debugging

Need your help in getting the issues rectified which I am facing for creating a recommendation activity in adobe target. Please note that we are utilizing the web SDK implementation here and we are validating the Target calls in the interact call preview section.
I have created a recommendation activity with VEC on a specific page with Recently Viewed Items as a criteria and selected a default design.
1. I have uploaded a product in the Catalog via the Recommendations API using the 3 entity attributes such as entity.id, name ,category, thumbNail URL . Here only thumbNail URL is the one which I acquired by inspecting the specific product available in a page (https://abc.com/image.png) and the remaining attributes such as entity.id and entity.category are the ones which I manually defined by giving some hardcoded values such as Dose1 for entity.id and medicine for entity.category since I couldn't find these available in the datalayer or at the page source.
2. Now having said this, the hardcoded value (Dose1) which I uploaded to catolog can be used to pass to the target via the target request on the site(your mentioned 1st step) ?? Please let me know on this. Also how can I pass this data to adobe via the target request using the Data collection rule? Should I use the same page load rule which am already using for the target call firing to send the parameter?
3. Currently the activity QA URL is also not showing any content change and most importantly I couldn't see the response tokens experience.name and activity.name under the meta object only in the recommendation activity as part of the target call . But the same is appearing for an A/B test or XT activity. How can we get these response tokens under the meta object for the recommendation activity?
4. Regarding the design, I have selected some the default design. Do I need to include the entity.id in the design as well?
5. Regarding the criteria as I have already mentioned, I have selected the Recently Viewed Items from user based recommendation category. Any changes needs to be made here in the criteria as well?
Also from the csv which I got from the download data, I could see the entity.id value appearing
