Possible to create a new arrivals collection for recommendations?

Hello!

 

I am interested in pulling newly launched products into a recommendations carousel. I assumed I could simply set up a collection, but I see no obvious way how. Any tips? Thanks!

    You can create your own recommendations as well. refer both
