How to install Target on local PC?

Good afternoon community.

I'm looking for advice on where to go to install a local instance of Target?

I'm currently training on the platform and am hoping to add my own version to my own laptop to train building activities, texts, etc.

I have a local version of AEM (WKND Site) I'm unsure of you can add Target in the same way and am trolling through documentation to find an answer.

Any advice is welcome.

Thank you in advance 🙂

Hi @michaelke16  As Adobe Target is a cloud-based SaaS solution. No standalone software package is available to be installed locally like AEM.

To get this address correctly, the recommended approach is

Adobe Target Sandbox Environment:

  1. If your organization has access to Adobe Experience Cloud, request a sandbox environment for Adobe Target. In most cases this is provided by Adobe and can be used to train and test without impacting production environments. You can check this with your account administrator who handles the relationship with adobe.
  2. Integration with AEM WKND Site:
    You can
mock the functionality of Adobe Target on your local instance of AEM using the AEM-Target integration
    How to do it:
Install the Adobe Target Cloud Configuration in AEM.
Use AEM as a Cloud Service or
compatible On-prem instance to integrate it with Adobe Target.
Author and utilize Activities and Offers directly within AEM via Adobe Target APIs.

Check which options is suitable and appropriate for you to proceed with Adobe Target.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Thank you!

This absolutely helps, I'll post back here when we find which solution is easiest so anyone else in a similar situation can re-trace the steps.

setting up Adobe Target API with your AEM instance. You'll need to integrate Target through the AEM Cloud Service or use Target’s APIs to set up activities locally. Check the AEM documentation for integration steps, and make sure your AEM environment supports
