Conflicting info in docs - Can you use multi-value entity attribute matching in Recommendations Criteria inclusion rules?

My team wants to create a Recommendations Criteria that compares two multi-value entity attributes. We want to include entities that share at least one item within this multi-value attribute.
There is conflicting information in the documentation about whether this is indeed possible. I have the option to do so (see screenshot), which is not currently working for me, but this could be an error on my end.
This note in the documentation says "Multi-value attributes are not currently supported in....entity attribute matching, or for lists on the left side of inclusion rules." https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/target/using/recommendations/criteria/work-with-multi-value-attributes#:~:text=Multi%2Dvalue%20attributes%20are%20not%20currently%20supported%20in%20promotions%2C%20entity%20attribute%20matching%2C%20or%20for%20lists%20on%20the%20left%20side%20of%20inclusion%20rules
However, in another area of the documentation, it says the 'list contains an item in" operator is used to compare a list to a list, and is "Available with Entity Attribute Matching". This seems to be directly contradictory to the previous documentation example: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/target/using/recommendations/criteria/dynamic-static/use-dynamic-and-static-inclusion-rules#:~:text=List%20Contains%20An%20Item%20In%0A(Available%20with%20Entity%20Attribute%20Matching%2C%20Profile%20Attribute%20Matching%2C%20and%20Parameter%20Matching.
Also, in the Criteria editor, I can access the "list contains an item in" operator in an Entity Attribute Matching inclusion rule, albeit only when using Item Based algorithm (see screenshot). Presumably this wouldn't be available as an option if it wasn't supported.
