Adobe Target Recommendation Update Catalog vs Delete and Upload Catalog

Question

Hello guys,

Anyone knows if there is some difference between Update Catalog and Delete then upload the entire Catalog and during ongoing Product Recommendation?

Is there any possible issue with the outcome from criteria?

Is it good to refresh Catalog(data feed) every day?

@luca_lattarini  I don't think upating a catalog on daily bases would do any harm. The only chanlenge that i can think of is related to the time taken by the catalog to be update: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/target/using/recommendations/recommendations-faq/recommendations-faq.html?lang=en

@luca_lattarini as per my understanding when you update a catalog, it replaces the existing values with the new ones hence should be equivalent to deleting and then reuploading the catalog.
In regards to the Catalog(data feed) refresh, It completely depends upon the use case but yes it is recommended to refresh the catalog once in a while (At atleast once within every 60 days).
