Trigger AJAX code on MKTO form submit?

Is it possible to embed AJAX code on a MKTO landing page and to trigger that code when the form is submitted?  The AJAX would be making REST calls to another system.

I've never done this before but I don't see why not. It would be the same as executing JavaScript onSubmit.
