Is there a way to create the picklist in the Field Management?

Happy Tuesday Community!

Is there a way in the field management section, when creating new fields to edit exactly what you want in that field? I would love to create drop downs that are not editable when used in our forms by our marketing coordinators. Is there a way to make this happen where it is all managed on the back end?

I know once it is created in field management it doesn't really seem to be all that editable, so if there is a work around for this as well I would love to learn more!

There currently is no option to create a picklist on the field level.

Well that is a bummer. I went and voted on the idea, but seeing that the thread is 2 years old, I won't get my hopes up.

Nicole,

You should create a String field and then populate it with whatever values you want. The preferred method is to create the picklist in SFDC, let it sync over, then it will encourage the Marketo user to use the existing values.

We do not use SFDC so syncing it with that isn't an option. Would this string work without SFDC? And if so, is there a way to easily modify the fields later on?

You might have just saved the day...
