Adobe Marketo Engage General

If you wish to do any <Style> tag code currently you need to put it in the head of an email. Which makes sense, if you are not using a set template for your team. We have used the <style> tag in the body of emails to adjust global mobile styles to fit the content of the email without impacting the full global template in our last email tool. It allowed us to swap images for mobile when a more vertical image would look better than the desktop top landscape version that was specific to that email campaign without impact the global template. Now if we want to adjust the code specific to an email we have to code it all instead of using a template.If we can't allow <Style> tags - can we at least allow for a <Style> tag variable snippet for the head of an email to allow us to add styles specific to that email without having to code the full html and be able to use templates?

Please create the ability to block IP addresses from munchkin tracking.

For example:If email address [ends with] .uk, do not send email.If website address [ends with] .mx send Spanish version of email.

It will be great if we can have a graphic on the email performance report based on:Date/OpenDate/ClicketcAnd this can work also for Landing page performance and other report.

We want to enable Marketo Sales Insight (MSI) emailing capability for our sales team so they can batch trigger marketing approved emails. We haven't been able to do this because it counts towards our communication limits and gets in the way of scheduled marketing sends getting to leads. It would be great if we could decide whether MSI emails count towards the communication limits.

I created a smart list that is now used as a custom column in a Lead Source report, however when I go to the list, it doesn't show that it is "used by" anything. This has caused a few lists to be inadvertently deleted which then leads to inaccuracies in the reports I'm pulling.It would be great if "custom columns" were added to the "used by" tab of smart lists.

I wasn't sure how to put my idea into a title so hoping some people click this.There is the feature already that allows us to skip the form submission for 'Known' leads on a Landing Page.What I would like it the feature to chose who we class as 'Known' for example:Marketo known lead = someone with an email address (I think its that basic)My known lead = someone with a minimum number of fields completed.I'd like to be able to chose who is know and who isn't know (rather than doing it just using Segmentation and Dynamic Content)ThanksJuli

I currently spend a significant portion of my time pulling metrics on newsletters from Marketo, this involves me inputting information twice - once in the Email Performance tool and once in the Email Link Performance tool, after this I take the relevant numbers and include them in a pdf along with a screenshot of the newsletter to send to a client. Overall each report takes at least 15 - 20 minutes, taking into account Marketo can be a little slow at times.For the many people out there that have to send performance metrics on ads to clients I think you could really improve the method by combining both tools in the one report and having the option to export a template report with the impressions and clicks on each link, along with perhaps a screenshot of the newsletter. It would definitely boost my efficiency anyway! Hope to see this tool available soon. Thanks.

It would be great to have a subject line guidance tool within Marketo itself. Whilst we can use the excellent A/B testing capabilities most users today are going to third party websites such as Over 4 Million Subject Lines Tested. #1 Free Tool for Email Marketing - SubjectLine.com  and other websites to get email subjects tested and evaluated (against criteria such as length, words, mobile suitability etc). If we could instead easily do that within the platform that would be useful.In addition if Marketo could use all of the valuable data gained from email over the years and somehow plug that into the guidance that would be even better.

Building out Idea as solution from a support case.Currently in our system our Account object is updated multiple times a day across thousands of Accounts.None of the fields being updated are visible to Marketo, but because the sysModstamp is modified Marketo looks at each record to ultimately skip it.The results of this is that Contacts and Leads do not get updated until after business hours (6-12+ hours after updated).  You can see where this might be a problem.  And since Accounts take priority over Contacts and Leads this happens to us everyday.My Idea to solve for this is to allow us to reference a new "sysModstamp" for Marketo to sync off of.  A field that we can create inside of Salesforce that will be updated when those fields that are important and visible to Marketo are updated.  This way there will be no skipping and unnecessary delays for any of our objects.

Once you have changed the default in admin->email setting, the default values are lost and if you have not copied them somewhere, you will rely on someone else (support? community?) to provide you with the info.It would be so easy to have a "reset to default "button in this dialog:Could be one button at the top, or event better, one button for each of the 4 zones.-Greg

I have a need to integrate a Leads' Program Memberships with another application. I need to display all Programs that the Lead has membership. However, there doesn't seem to be a way to obtain this information from a Lead.Something like<REST API Endpoint URL>/rest/v1/leads/programs.json

We have multiple teams sending communications to different populations out of Marketo. We try our best not to schedule our sends on the same days but sometimes this is unavoidable. In those cases, whomever has their send scheduled for earlier in the day wins, as our communication limits prevent someone from getting more than one email on the same day.  We'd like to see a feature that allows us to recognize when someone is skipped for an email due to communication limits and sends the email on the next available day. There's a way to do this manually but it requires a lot of smart campaigns/smart lists and isn't scalable as our teams grow. For example:I'm a lead who qualifies for Email A and am also part of a drip campaign where I'm scheduled to get the 3rd email in a series. Email A is scheduled for 7am and the drip campaign is scheduled for 8am. At 7am I get email A. I then get skipped for the drip campaign that week due to communication limits. Looking for more flexibility around how to measure leads moving through the funnel. The current Model Performance Analysis report in RCA is great for high level reporting of model movement but doesn't provide enough detail. When embedding a form, the code provided by Marketo has a flaw that makes it non working on Firefox in private mode. Eg:<script src="//app-e.marketo.com/js/forms2/js/forms2.min.js"></script><form id="mktoForm_XXXX"></form><script>MktoForms2.loadForm("//app-e.marketo.com", "999-AAA-999", XXXX);</script>The first script calls the form2.min.js library in the Marketo domain ("//app-e.marketo.com"), which is blocked by FF in private mode.It should call the library in landing page subdomain instead, under the form of<script src="//landing.page.subdomain/js/forms2/js/forms2.min.js"></script>So that the embedded form also works on FF in private mode.-Greg

It would be REALLY helpful to add the Campaign Name to the visitor .At times, I will have multiple campaigns open to analyze which users are engaging with my many campaigns, and I will come back to my browser and not remember which campaign I was looking at. Since I can't pull lead information in GA due to PII, I will pull this list to see which customers engaged with the campaign, so it would be wonderful to have the campaign name in the excel file as well!

Some fields have nothing to do in the import wizard mapping step. Because they are not allowed to be updated for business reasons, or even when there update is blocked on import. e.g.:When the data schema has been significantly extended, the number of fields showing up in the wizard can be extremely long and the mapping process will end up being painful and error prone.This idea would be that fields that are "blocked on import" should not show up in the lead import wizard field mapping step.Alternatively, we could have a setting in the admin -> field management that would enable the admin to hide the field from the wizard.-Greg

For email alerts or interesting moments, the {{trigger.name}} returns an information that is not really for the audience receiving the alert or reading the IM: sales and telemarketers.We can use programs tokens in some situations, but the this prevents the creation of centralized IM and alerting programs.So it would be great of each asset could have a friendly name that would be entered when creating it and available in a {{trigger.friendly name}} token-Greg

When exporting data from Marketo, we always get a UTF-8 encoded CSV file. When importing, the semicolon and tab separated are allowed, but the encoding is llimited to UTF8 and UTF16.But not all countries go by this format and encoding by default. Some will prefer semicolon or tabs, and will prefer Windows 1252/ANSI, ISO-8859-1/Latin 1 or japan, chineese or Korean encoding.We should be able in admin to define "file format" that would be some combinations of formats and encoding. I would for instance define a "France" format that would be Windows 1252 encoding with semicolon separation. Then, when importing or exporting a file, I would just have a drop list with the available file formats, have to pick it and it will be immediately available, saving a lot of time and errors to users (conversion of the separator, conversion of the encoding).Ideally, a series of ready to use file formats would be preset (the admin user being able to change or remove/deactivate some).These custom "file form

Hi all,We have about 190,000 marketable leads and additional 120,000 non-marketable leads.As Marketo is charging by the total amount of leads (without actually getting into what is and isn't marketable) we need to delete the non-marketable leads from Marketo.The problems:1. Sales won't allow to delete them from SFDC2. Any change in SFDC (even a daily automated change) will bring them back to Marketo.So Marketo support came with the idea of adding a custom sync filter called "Do Not Sync to Marketo", once it's true - there's no sync.We ended up updating this field to 50,000 non-marketable leads and then deleting them from Marekto.However - everytime we have a list import or when a deleted lead is filling out a form, we are getting a duplication, because Marketo is creating a new lead and instead of checking if there's a lead with this email on SFDC (and update it if it does exist), it immediately insert it to SFDC and create a duplication (or in our current case this lead is stuck becau

All our leads have a unique ID#, different from Marketo ID. It would save so much time if we were able to search by this ID number. Could it be made possible to search by fields other than just the name/email?It would also be incredibly helpful if we could sort by these custom fields too.Thanks!James

This is not my original idea. My goal is to sum up many of the comments & ideas that have been posted over the last 3+ years with regards to the calendar token.In no particular order of priority, here's what my research sees as the biggest updates needed to the Calendar Link Token based on activity within the Community:1) Ability to control the reminder     * the inability to control the reminder in the Calendar Link token forces marketers to do work-arounds (ex. host a unique ICS file in the Design Studio for every event/webinar) and has a negative impact on attendance numbers2) Increased variety of calendar integrations     * currently, the ics file is only supporting Outlook's calendar. As more businesses switch to Google Business or adopt 3rd party calendar services (ex. Sunrise), marketers need the ability to offer calendar invites for a wider variety of calendars3) UX     * in creating the Calendar Link Token, Marketo users are able to use other tokens in the Description sect

Some of our snippets are very similar. This can be confusing when cloning programs. How do we know what header snippet is in use? Sometimes eyeballing it won't give you the answer (unless you are aware of the subtle differences). We get a list of Emails that use a snippet when we select the snippet in Design Studio. Why can't we see a list of snippets in use when we select an email. Or at lest right-click on an editable area and see which snippet is in use by name.Thanks :-)Alan

It's sad that you can't schedule a Smart Campaign to run more often than once a day.It should have the same behaviour than the "wait" item in a flow and support "minute" and "hour" as well.

I will be the first to say I was skeptical about having Summit in Las Vegas, but I have to admit it brought a different element to the conference. Overall I like San Francisco better as a venue, but I think Vegas brought a bit more of a party atmosphere, something it may have been lacking a bit before. Who's with me? Once every fifth year in Vegas?
