Hi All, I am new to marketo. I have two sandboxes and I need to migrate configurations from one to another. Is there a way to use some form of "Change Sets" as salesforce has ? I don't think recreating the whole config one step after the other is cost effective. I am hoping there is a way and will need some guidance and confirmation from this community. Thanks,
Our web team's new UX specs call for the form submit button to change color once all required fields are filled out. Test LP is here: https://info.gepower.com/WF_2020_GE-Power_Web-CUF_Main-Web-CUF-LP-Test.html. Is there a way to accomplish this?
We have a form we use to enter in campaign data from an email response that then goes into Marketo. We just migrated to Wordpress. Looking for some guidance on how to get this form in wordpress. Or if someone has some other way to do this.
Hi all - We are looking to setup a reoccurring webinar series for demos on our website. Is there a way to build programs to support these on-going so we can track success? We will be doing 5 15-minute sessions a day. Thanks!
Hi all! As the new Marketo admin in our company, recently I found out that we have some major data discrepancy between Salesforce and Marketo, in general, but mainly, in the account level. The data is most reliable in Salesforce and since Marketo is supposed to only receive fresh data and updates I wonder what is causing that. It seems that the latest data (from 2020) is 90% correlated but a lot from previous years (2015), is not. 1. Has anyone encountered a situation like this before and did you understand what was causing that (Marketo or Salesforce)? 2. How did you solve that? 3. Is there an option to batch push data from Salesforce to Marketo? Thanks!
Hello Marketo Nation, I've got a form field of type string, which is embedded as a checkbox. Upon form submission, it's either saved as "yes" or "no" to the Marketo Database. However, I want it to have "True" and "False" respectively. The field is synced with another platform, so ideally this mapping is reflected during form submission already, not corrected afterwards using a smart campaign. What's the best way to do this? Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi all, Has anyone implements a cookie opt out on their sites as part of GDPR compliance? What has been your experience in doing so? Has your tracking and attribution been affected, and if so, how? Was there anything else you implemented to help? Thanks Natali
Hello, We are developing one of website in Wordpress and having lead data in different Marketo Lists. We are using REST API however we need to check if the user who comes to the website pages is present in the database or not and get details of a known user already present in some other list in Marketo database and add to the present list. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
@sanfordwhiteman I am not able to add the form as a dynamic element inside a Marketo landing page. For instance, I want to show a separate form for a different segments of the audience. I created the segment, tried to add separate forms under each segment under the dynamic settings of the landing page. Somehow, the green tick is not clickable, and the result is not dynamic as well. Can you please help here?
Hello, I am trying to setup a Marketo campaign to track users that have logged into our business dashboard. The business dashboard has a Marketo munchkin and shows that it is tracking some clicks and users on these pages, but only a small portion. When I look at Google Analytics I see a much larger number of users who have gone and used our business dashboard. I try to capture these users by using visited web page - then input the webpage that users land on after they have logged into their business account. I need some help understanding why it only captures a small portion of the users going to the page.
Unsubscribed While you can delete bounced and unsubscribed contacts, we will need to consider the following points before proceeding further. You may choose to delete these contacts for the following reasons: You no longer need these contacts in your account. You wish to keep your list clean and avoid any potential GDPR violations with contacts you no longer use. Or you may choose to keep these contacts in your account for the following reasons: They might update their email address or subscription preferences with you. They may have a deal and are progressing through your pipeline. You are communicating with them on different channels. Note : Once the unsubscribed lead is deleted from the instance and the lead fills in a form, they are automatically unsubscribed until they take an action to re-subscribe. Marketo keeps a table/record of "durable Unsubscribe" in the backend. Also, We can have a smart campaign that changes the Unsubscribed field value from 'true' to 'false' i
Hello sir, I want to set up a custom validation for form. Currently, we are using that validation code on the template page but I need to move that code in form backend side so it will work for every page wherever I have used that form. Where can I upload that code on the backend side? Give an example. Like I want to restrict the user to enter the @gmail account while filling the form. How can I do it Marketo level instead of form or page level?
our vendor, is sending over preliminary lead info, not sure exactly why, but almost to pave the way for later, and at that time picks up the unique marketo ID, then later (could be days later) comes back and updates this lead based on the Marketo ID with email, name, company and activity data. Is this lead considered Anonymous until the email and other pertinent information is populated, such that when the lead is populated with an email and other data, only then will it actually trigger "New Person is Created"?
Hi - I am trying to build an email performance report on emails that I sent in 2019, but no data is being displayed. Anyone else experience this? Is there a reason for it? Jackie
What resources do you share with new employees when you want them to understand broadly what Marketo can do? The tutorials are too dense and the public demos are too high level. Is there anything in between?
I am recreating our lead flow process in Marketo, and I have been asked to "delete" the person who is newly created who has only unsubscribed, i.e. that is the only interaction/engagement (for some reason we are getting numerous entries such as these and they are not even worthwhile putting in our database, at least not to my management). So, in one campaign, I am going to check for this scenario after using the trigger, Person is Created, then Delete Person if they have only filled out "unsubscribed" form. But, at the same time, I have another campaign also with the trigger, Person is Created, then I want to go through the rest of the processing, which I am assuming I should do after a wait step. Another alternative, is to put these steps all in one campaign, but my concern with putting these Flows all in the same Campaign is that I don't know what will happen with the processing if the lead is deleted? Does it just fall apart/skip the rest of the processi
Hey all, I'm in the midst of a renewal RFP with Marketo where we are so badly wanting to stay w/ Marketo, and so in doing an apples to apples comparison between Marketo, Eloqua, and Pardot/Mktg Cloud platforms, I'm trying to figure out where to play defense. I'm trying to poke legitimate holes in the competition in relation to Sales Insight. Eloqua has a lesser platform called Profiler, but I haven't seen what similar platform Pardot may have to Marketo Sales Insight. Does anyone have any knowledge of this - or better yet, how it pales in comparison. SFDC did not provide any details here.
Hello, I am trying to set-up a personalized email for our internal account executives about their loss opps. My dilemma is that there are multiple opportunity in one AE. An AE could have 6 accounts and I want to be able to put them all in one email rather than sending them individually and getting them spammed with emails. I can't figure out how to connect these data points all in one AE email since Marketo will dedupe email addresses. Does anyone have a thought of a workaround for this? Please help! There are data points I want to include in the email for example this. Email Address Competitor Name(s) Customer Name Opportunity Name Deal Close Date Total Bookings (USD) Contact Name Contact Title Contact Email John.doe@marketo.com Test Customer1 opp1 4/29/20 $13,284 ContactName1 VP of IT contactEmail1 John.doe@marketo.com test3 Customer2 opp2 4/3/20 $2,700 ContactName2 CEO contactEmail2 John.doe@marketo.com test6 Customer3 opp3 4/14/20 $2,250 ContactName3 CT
I have a landing page with a Marketo image on it. For some reason Marketo seems to be removing the css class "card-img-top" and replacing it with "lpimg" which is breaking the styles. On the first two images it is working fine. It's onlly on the last one this is happening. See the gaps at the sides of the third image. See below Template code: <div class="mktoImg" id="Readmore3Image" mktoName="Third Read more Image"> <img src="https://info.thewebsite.com/rs/911-BEG-887/images/planogram-readmore.png" class="card-img-top" alt=""> </div> The Code when I preview it: <div class="mktoImg mktoGen" id="mkto_gen_Readmore3Image"><img src="https://info.thewebsite.com/rs/911-BEG-887/images/Thumb-LP-GalleryCV-300x230.png" class="lpimg" alt="" id="Readmore3Image"></div> Anyone else experience this? Thanks, Gerard
We've been noticing that our Web Activity capturing has been declining for some time now. As a result we are missing on a lot of insights feeding our Behavior Score logic. My understanding is, we are currently missing that data for over 30% of Known Leads interacting with us. To get this number, I was testing people who were meant to record a web page visit from an email link click or a form fill out, but in fact that activity was missing (in many cases any web activity was missing what so ever). I wonder how everyone else is doing, and feeling about it? Obviously, we should respect the choice of a visitor to stay anonymous, but where I see the problem is lots of Ad Blockers and latest Browsers just block Marketo munchkin by default. So instead of us being able to build good experience for our audience and gain their trust, this has been left to Marketo and the Browsers/Ad Blockers to sort out. Is there a way to call munchkin.js from our landing page domain, the same way
We are in the process of restructuring our instance to split out a highly used channel into more specific sub-channels for more accurate reporting. We are rebuilding ~250 programs but want to mark all of the successes in the old programs as successes in the new programs with their historic success date. We can export all of the contact records with their success dates in each program via RCE and can easily say what each of their new successes would be in each new program. For example:RECORD IDOld Program NameOld Program Success DateNew Program NameNew Program StatusIs it possible (perhaps via API), to import these records in mass into the new programs and assign them success with the historic date? Thanks!
Curious if anyone has any experience with using Zoom's launch point service with Marketo, with more than 10 connected users? We're trying to enable other users from our team to go in and create their own Zoom webinars, as well as Marketo programs. But it seems as though there is a 10 person limit (Noted in the Enabling Zoom Users to use Integration part of this Documentation) for how many members can have the Marketo app installed on their profile within Zoom. My question is, how are other users currently using the Zoom launch point integration? Do you have one main Zoom login connected where all of your webinars are hosted? Or are the webinars hosted through individual members accounts within Zoom, and each member connects their account to a new launch point service? We're a global organization, and may have more than one Zoom webinar running at the same time. So we're trying to determine the best process that will be ideal for our team with the overall setup.&nb
Wanted to see if anyone else had experienced an issue with the Marketo and Drift integration where someone came to you website, engaged with the Drift chat bot, but were recognized as the wrong person. Right now we have it setup so that if someone was already identified by Marketo, Drift will automatically recognize them as a known contact. However it recognized one our our own employees as a customer and so it showed the customer email instead of the one her own lead should have been cookied as. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
We are using the Zoom integration through Launchpoint to integrate a Marketo landing page and form for people to register for a webinar hosted with Zoom. The issue is that we have several fields that are required for our lead scoring and assignment processes (Job Title, HQ Location Country, Country, Company Name, Industry). We want these to be required fields on the Zoom page because invariably we get people who register directly with Zoom bypassing the Marketo form - then we are missing critical information and it reduces our ability to process those prospects. Is there a way to have Marketo pass these field data to Zoom so that we can keep the fields required on the Zoom page without encountering registration errors?
Hello all, I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks! The Goal Send a three touch email series to prospects who filled out a gated asset form CTA is to get them to fill out a trial Track delivered, opens, and clicks for each email Not use Engagement Program Inventory (big company with a lot of engagement programs) Remove lead if they fill out trial My Proposed Solution One smart campaign for the gated asset Smart List: filled out gated asset form trigger Flow: Change program status to filled out form with three wait steps and three request campaigns Each Request Campaign has a If Filled out Form | Is Not | Trial Form Created three default programs for each email to track performance Each has a Campaign is Requested trigger along with delivered, opens, and clicks Screen Shot
