Adobe Marketo Engage General

Hello folks, Is Marketo and Dynamics365 bi-directional? Does data flow from dynamics to marketo also?  Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,We would like to clean out some of the bad data in our Marketo lately to manage the usage.I have noticed something and looking accross the community , but not quite sure if there is a better solution with it?Some of the bad data were inserting like asdf@asdf.com,  123123@gmail.com,  ddd@ddd.dd.uk , since the leads might be insert for requesting some , but it is a fault email address, so they never being delivery with any email, that is why Marketo won't be able to recognize these email address are invalid or should be suspened?When I run the smart list, these email address just sit in marketo, but Not showing as Email invalid , Email suspened, not even UnsubscribedDoes anyone know what will be the better way to identify them? Thank youKind regards,

I'm looking to set up a test webinar in the Marketo Interactive Webinar platform for 12/3. If I plan to invite 1 colleague as a co-host and 3 colleagues as attendees, is it possible to also set up a meeting with the 5 of us, 1 week prior, to enter the webinar lobby and play around with the layouts so we can get it perfected prior to the 12/3 webinar test? Just wondering if it's possible for co-hosts and/or attendees to enter the webinar lobby in advance of the scheduled webinar? I don't want to waste additional webinar credits by setting up too many test programs. Thanks!!

Hello,    I received a Marketo Salesforce Sync Error that myself and my team are not familiar with. The error is as follows: I was able to find one post about something close to this error, but their issue was with a specific to a lead sync issue, based on a problematic character. You can find that thread here: https://nation.marketo.com/t5/product-discussions/lead-sync-error/td-p/64235 I have ran a test and can see that we are syncing new and existing leads with no issue. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with this lead, and if any action is even needed.    Thanks!

Hi all, We'd like to create an escalable process to stamp the acquisition program to our database. What would be the best way to do this?For the moment we used to do it on a program level, but there's a big chunk of our database that does not have it because we did not have it implemented in the past. Tried to rebatch them using tokens for the acquisition program value but Marketo won't let me do it. Looking forward for the community best practices. Thanks!

My campaign involves a landing page with a form which 5 choices in a survey. Each choice will trigger a welcome email and a series of 3 emails specific to that choice, the 3 emails to be sent weekly regardless of their engagement so no transition rules needed. I know Marketo has its own stream test but this doesnt send me email series so i can see it works in sequence. I want to be able to run a test where my survey submission triggers the welcome email (which i have tested and works) but also triggers the 3 emails. I want to be able to do a test where the emails are sent to me in sequence within seconds or minutes of each other, is this possible as i couldnt find anything online as guidance?

Hi Everyone, Currently we have been using default space for two different brands since our both brands are not exclusive and share leads and some assets. We are onboarding a SMS solution which require us to enable workspaces to be able to use unique branding domain links within sms. without workspaces we can only use default branding domain link. We have fair understanding of how workspaces works but wanted to get the suggestions if there are anything specific we should be concerned or mindful about before making the decision based on our use case. RegardsRecho

I'm trying to set up Conversion Lead campaigns for our company, but the issue is we can't seem to connect the conversion back to Facebook. We confirmed that Marketo is tracking the LeadID that Facebook creates when a lead is submitted, but we don't know how to have that push back to Facebook when they become a sale. When searching for Marketo within the partner section of Facebook's setup process, it directs you to LeadsBridge. We also saw that Zapier is something that we could potentially use. (Both Shown Below)Has anyone had experience setting this feedback loop up for Facebook and know how to make it work? Any advice is very much appreciated! Thank you so much for your time.

Hello all,    I am trying to add our {{member.webinar url}} token generated via zoom webinar registration to google calendar invite. I am using this script below to populate the google calendar link in my confirmation email.  <a href="http://www.google.com/calendar/event?action=TEMPLATE&text={{my.calTitle}}&dates={{my.calDateStart}}T{{my.calTimeStart}}/{{my.calDateEnd}}T{{my.calTimeEnd}}&details={{my.calDescription}}&location={{my.calLocation}}&trp=true" target="_blank">Add to Google Calendar</a> As each member who registers have their own webinar URLs, I am not sure how to do this.    Any help would be appreciated!    Thanks Diana

I'm trying to figure out a way to create a Salesforce Event from a scheduled meeting from Conversational Forms/Dynamic Chat. The meeting is booked in/via Outlook, but does not create a Salesforce event. I know there might be a way to integrate Salesforce to Outlook and filter Meetings to only create events for Scheduled meetings from Conversational Forms, but I feel like there should be a more straightforward way of doing this. Does anyone have any ideas?

I am trying to code a section that works in Outlook as well as other browsers. I have attached the code below, I have run quite a few different VML, but it keeps breaking. Is anyone familiar with making this work in Outlook? <!--Background Image Section--> <table class="mktoModule" mktoName="Background Image Section" id="bgImageSection" width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" align="center" style="width: 100%;margin: 0 auto;border-spacing: 0;border-collapse: collapse;"> <tr> <td background="https://my.rapidrecon.com/l/708083/2023-03-07/skwfk/708083/1678206081z2ncTDUE/RR_3.7.23_5_Ways_to_Nurture_Whitepaper_Autoresponder_bg.png" height="645" style="background:#fffffe url('https://my.rapidrecon.com/l/708083/2023-03-07/skwfk/708083/1678206081z2ncTDUE/RR_3.7.23_5_Ways_to_Nurture_Whitepaper_Autoresponder_bg.png') no-repeat center center / cover; background-size:cover;bac

I am trying to clean up our engagement programs and we have many that have a large amount of exhausted contacts in the stream. I have tried making a second stream for exhausted content but no one seems to be moving in that stream. What is the proper way to set this up?

When / how quickly are segmentations set for new records? When I drill into a lead record, I can see that it's segmentation is set, but don't see an activity indicating when the segment was set. If segmentations are set as the new record gets created (i.e. during or before the "New Person" activity), great. But if it's asynchronous and capable of having a backlog - and simply doesn't generate an activity - then I'm concerned about potential racing issues in the process I'm hoping to apply them to.

Hi there, We have some questions about the chatbot we are hosting at the Marketo Dynamic Chat. At a first glance, the object to open the chatbot and the object of clicking the link to the referred page, appear to have limited click attributes.Is it possible to adjust these objects so they can have values assigned like the url on the referred link?Currently, attributes from the first click to open the chatbot, and the second click is top open the link that it referred. Both have an identifiable elementId as ‘hb_chatbot-root’ but the second click does not have the url that the user will be led to from the chatbot.

Hello,We’re planning to implement email retargeting based on webpage visits, and I need some clarification on how it works with Marketo.I understand that by adding the Marketo munchkin code, we can track page visits (including those from anonymous ISPs). However, I’m not sure how we would know the email address of a visitor to trigger an email. Specifically, does the trigger only apply to leads already in our CRM, where we have their contact information associated with their IP address (e.g., "This person with this IP is a known lead and their email is X")?I apologize if this is a basic question—I'm not very technical!Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi,   I want to create a nurture drip campaign for 12 emails, in that I need to set a cadence for every week and want to add a daily new contact in the same nurture drip.   If I add one contact today they get 1st email today and they will receive the next email next week, and if add 2nd contact tomorrow they will receive the next email next week. So, if I set a cadence for weekly then 1st contact gets the next mail on the as per 2nd contact cadence.   How to set a nurture drip for this?

We are having a sync issue. The customer fills out the web form and Marketo syncs with Salesforce. Marketo is updating the existing Contact in Salesforce, but also creating a new Lead. We do not want the new Lead created if the Contact exists in Salesforce. We only want the Contact updated. We only want a new Lead created if Marketo can not match an existing Contact. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm using the "update users API" to change the expiration date for a batch of users.   I am getting a response when I send the post, and it is actually changing the users. But instead of changing to the date I have set in the request, it's changing to "null/never." I've looked at the documentation surrounding the date format (although it's somewhat limited) and I even tried setting one user to the date I wanted, then copying the value from a "get user" response and pasting it into my body, but the same thing keeps happening.   I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, anyone have any ideas?   Here is my post body: {"action": "createOrUpdate","input": [ {"expiresAt": "2023-12-31T06:00:00.000t+0000" } ]}

We have a Program for new customer onboarding with a Flow of four emails with various wait steps in between. We've recently done a content overhaul on these emails and created a new Program and Flow to start sending these out. Currently, we have an API set up that runs daily to push data into Marketo. What is the best way to start having the new customer data pushed to the new Program, and stop going to the old program, while also letting those customers in the middle of the Flow of the old Program finish going through each email?

Hi there! I'm setting up an email campaign to test + learn what type of content our 4 personas are interested in. To do so, I'm planning to send my first email using dynamic content to slightly tweak the messaging to our 4 personas. Within that email, I'm linking to 3 pieces of content - "A", "B", "C"I'd like to set it up so that depending on which content a person clicks on, wait 5 days and they receive the next email with additional content pertaining to "A", "B," or "C". Where I'm getting stuck - if someone clicks on content "A" AND "B", what is the best way to set up the program? Should I have the next set of emails run on separate days so the person could still receive both if they clicked on both? Curious how other folks have done campaigns similar to this where you are asking your audience to select what content they are interested in, with the caveat that they may be interested in multiple pieces of content. Thanks!!

Hello Marketo Community,I bumped into a real mysterious velocity token situation recently, while creating an email campaign in Marketo. This campaign consists of 6 emails and each email speaks to three different audience groups (short as AG), each AG having slightly different verbiages and a diff background image. So in my velocity token {{my.EM1AudienceGroup}}, I pulled the fields used to define the AG and lowercased them first and then set the logic as such:#set ($LowerCaseV1 = $lead.Field1.toLowerCase()) #set ($LowerCaseV2= $lead.Field2.toLowerCase()) #set ($LowerCaseV3= $lead.Field3.toLowerCase()) #if ($LowerCaseV1.contains("abc") || $LowerCaseV2.contains("def") || $LowerCaseV3.contains("ghi")) verbiage1## #elseif ($LowerCaseV1.contains("jkl) || $LowerCaseV2.contains("mno") || $LowerCaseV3.contains("pqr")) verbiage2## #else verbiage3## #endIt works for EM1 and its text version just fine so I cloned this to create multiple tokens for Em2 for the different verbiages. Em2's tokens al

Hi all,  Quick question here. I am currently in the process of adding mkto_UTM Campaign & mkto_UTM medium hidden fields to my forms, and up until now, I was using the URL parameter selection to pull from because we use URL parameters to track our email efforts and our paid search.    If I continue to set it up this way, and someone navigates to my landing page from a page with UTM parameters on it, but then doesn't convert and goes somewhere else on the site and converts from a different form, will the original UTM parameters carry through from the original source URL?    My initial thought is no, not unless I change my default values to pull from cookies. However, if I update it to pull from cookies, will the form then ignore the URL parameters from the direct page?    If I have to pick one or the other, the URL tracking is definitely more important, but ideally, I'd like to capture both!    Thanks in advance!  Felicia

I need to create a few email alerts that will help us monitor our auto merge static list.  Here are the 2 email alerts I am trying to set up but don't know how to set up the filters to make it happen: Send alert if no records have been added to the "To Be Merged" static list in the last 7 daysSend alerts if the same record gets added to the "To Be Merged" static list more than 3 times.

I am currently pulling some templates from Pardot into Marketo and their design is causing issues with building out modules within Marketo. I am having trouble adding a mktoContainer to this design. I have added the HTML code here for reference. I tried adding a table around it and the nesting is broken. I am hoping I can resolve this without rebuilding the entire thing within Marketo.Any help would be greatly appreciated.<!doctype html> <html lang="en" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:v="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" xmlns:o="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"> <head> <title>Here is your Rapid Recon White Paper</title> <!--[if !mso]><!--> <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge"> <!--<![endif]--> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"> <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1"> <style type="text/css"> #outlook a { padding: 0;

We currently capture the UTMs in a cookie and if the visitor accepts cookies, we then capture the UTM information on our forms. Because we are seeing an increasing number of visitors not accepting cookies it is very hard for us to track how affective the advertising is and we don't always see the referring browser or search terms. Is anyone passing UTMs in the URL when the visitor changes page? thanks
