Adobe Marketo Engage General

I'm dealing with a problem and hoping to get some answers here. So we actually have million of data in our Marketing systems but we only sync specific sets of records in SFDC and Marketo. So every 6 months we do an exercise to look at the account level and see if that fits our GTM strategy for the coming half year. In that process, deleted and add a lot of records in Marketo but SFDC has everything. For the deleted records, we update "Sync to Marketo" = False and "Marketo Deleted"= True and prevent them from syncing back to Marketo using a custom sync rule. Now SFDC had additional data sources like event platform/trials etc. What we want to do is to re-sync some of the previously deleted records if they engage with high-value campaigns like events or signup for a trial. The problem with re-sync is that it not only re-syncs the lead/contact but also past campaign membership history. With this old campaign member history syncing back to Marketo, the scoring triggers and in some cases qua

Hi    We're currently in the process of syncing our Marketo instance with Dynamics. One of the key things we're wanting to bring across from Marketo in our CRM is 'interesting moment' type data for a contact, such as which of our marketing emails they've received, which ones they've opened/engaged with, visits to key website pages etc.   We don't currently have Sales Insights, so I wondering if anyone knows of a way to enable or set up this kind of sync without Sales Insight?   Or is there a way to jsut sync a contact's Activity Log from Marketo to Dynamics?   Thanks! Petri

Hello!   I added 2 javascript code snippets into my form by adding rich text to the forms and putting the scripts directly in them.   Previously, when I did this, it didn't create additional rows in my form but now it's taking up space in the form and I'm unsure what changed.   Here's a test page I created: https://go.cornerstoneondemand.com/SJ-Test_CS_WP_lp-form-test.html   Anyone have any ideas?

Hello!Maybe there is a better way of doing this, but I have a situation where I need to style a form row based on the field within.   Does anyone have an idea on how I could add an a additional class to (or wrap) mktoFormRow with something that is referencing the specific field inside of it?   For instance, if I had:   <div class = "mktoFormRow"> <label for "FirstName" id="LblFirstName" ... ></label> <input></input>   How could I add something to that parent div so it looks like this? <div class = "mktoFormRow input-id-FirstName">     Thanks for any ideas and suggestions!

We have added a new custom campaign object field, Vendor into SFDC.  How can I sync this field to Marketo?  Is this only possibly by also relating this object to Lead, Contact or Account, which doesn't necessarily make sense in this case?

Interesting moments field not showing in marketo Hi   Just took over a Marketo instance after their implementation and I see they don't have the field < Interesting moments> as a field to drag into the smart list, campaign, but they do have in admin the below fields - last interesting moment date -last interesting moment desc -last interesting moment source -last interesting moment type  the field doesn't exist to drag a drop. I wonder if I should reach out to Marketo , or when the issue comes from   Any tips as to where to start to fix the problem? Thanks.

Hi all, Where do I start when building modules in Marketo, I can't seem to find the place where to start creating them  and they can then be visible when creating an email. Could you please guide me. Do you recommend an agency to do it? Have you done it internally?

I keep getting a "browser timed out" message, and keep getting asked to login when clicking on Marketo links from my Marketo Sales Insight within Salesforce and Web Activity Reports in my Emails.

We have attempted REST REST API calls for the Cane Bay Partners sandbox that are returning error 603 "Access Denied" even when API User has correct permissions.  We have checked through the admin interface and have confirmed that IP restrictions are not set.  We believe we have set up the user correctly.

Hi Marketo users,    I'd like to check with you that I received a request from the partner marketing teams to use two different from & reply-to address on the marketing promotional email, but both are in the same domain. still, does it hurts email deliverability? please advise.   -Ganga

Hi all,   Looking for some help to eliminate wrapping and hyphenating words inside td's when rendering in Outlook 2016. It is not an issue on Gmail, Outlook Web, or Outlook Mobile; it's just the Outlook 2016 desktop app.     I'd rather the broken word be placed unbroken on the next line rather than hyphenated, which is a little difficult to read.   Per some search results I found, I've tried adding: word-break:break-word, -ms-word-break:break-word, and -mso-word-break:break-word" to all of td, p, and body to no avail. I'm also having trouble finding an property that works in Outlook 2016 per the Campaign Monitor tool.   Thanks in advance!   My code: [removed]

Hi,  We recently opened registrations for an upcoming event. We hired a company to build the website and registration form. We are using REST API to sync registrations to Marketo for a confirmation email. We found that some registrations are not syncing to Marketo because of the error code 1003. There is one field we ask for a personal url. I set up a custom field for that and the field type is URL. For some reasons, people who entered a link to that field will fail to sync to Marketo. Only entering the value "yes" or "no" will sync the information to Makreto. I am really confused because it's a URL field type. Why would that happen? I checked with the web developer, he said the API is set up correctly and they are just passing the data. It's on Marketo. Does anyone have any similar experience? Anything I can try to troubleshoot?

Hi Community Members,   After digging around to find some help on monthly program membership reporting (why there's no option to add a time frame in a Program Report is beyond me...), I came across this post which was a huge help in identify program membership by month.   I've set up my Smart List and it's pulled in overall members in the monthly time frame which is perfect. Now I want to identify those who are a Success in said time frame. So, I followed the usual steps to create a new View with the columns I want to see:   And after hitting Save, this is the View I get:    I have removed and re-added the two end/last columns, I've relogged, I've reloaded, and I've refreshed the view - all multiple times - but I still end up with a very limited view. I've never had this issue before so wondering if there's something wrong temporarily - if so, I can wait/come back to it; if not, any ideas?    TIA  😀 Michelle

Long time lurker, first time poster... so, please be patient with me.  I'm working with our developers to beef up our initial Marketo + CRM sync and incorporate Marketo lead ID's. Ideally we would like to use the Bulk Import API with Marketo's Lead ID being the primary key (no longer email) hoping this new method would correct email address changes. We just ran a test and it doesnt seem like the Bulk Import API incorporated the Marketo Lead ID at all. Does the Bulk Import API only use email address?

I need to create a drop down form where i can list the series of videos. Upon filling up these forms customer will receive the automated email for reach video they selected for drop down upon filling up the form.   Can someone guide me through this flow, that will be really helpful.   Thanks.

Hi,   Does anyone know what this error message mean and how to fix it? "Error updating Sfdc lead id after crm creation. Leads might have already been synched." I was doing manual leads sync to SFDC. These are net new leads. I don't see them in my SFDC after receiving this error message.   Thanks!

Is it possible to have a required field below the progressive profile fields? For example, I want to display name and email (required fields always displayed) and then phone number and zip code as progressive profile fields with an email opt in field (required) at the very bottom. Maybe this takes two forms, but then how can there be only one submit button? Perhaps there is a different way to handle the opt in field. Appreciate any help.

Here is a sample question of Program Fundamentals.   Q:What program type would you need to apply to a Marketo program containing your company's lead scoring rules? A. Web form B. Event C. Smart program D. Operational   The correct answer is D, but I don't know why. What the Operatinal means in this case?  The question sentence translated into Japanese is very strange.

Hi, we are planning to send out an email including a CTA - when receiver clicks CTA an automatic operational email is triggered which confirms attendance.  How can I test this workflow via "Send a sample email"? When clicking CTA in sample email nothing happens. When trying it via "real campaign" it works.   Thanks Andreas

Hi all,   I am building a new unsubscribe page and want to include a multiple choice set of radio buttons to answer the question 'Why do you want to unsubscribe?'   I want ALL of the radio buttons ticked to populate the Unsubscribed Reason text field, so we can analyze results, and make it a 'choose one' setup. When I try to build this, though, it seems only one form element can populate one MKTO field, meaning I can't have multiple radio buttons for the one field.   Does anyone know a workaround for this?   Thanks, Lucas

Our data is a mess and some of our first name fields contain numbers. Is there a way to use velocity script to weed those users out. I am currently doing it this way, but I didn't know if there was an easier way. #if ( $lead.FirstName.contains("1") && $lead.FirstName.contains("2") && $lead.FirstName.contains("3") && $lead.FirstName.contains("4") && $lead.FirstName.contains("5") && $lead.FirstName.contains("6") && $lead.FirstName.contains("7") && $lead.FirstName.contains("8") && $lead.FirstName.contains("9") && $lead.FirstName.contains("0")) Hi there, #else Hi ${lead.FirstName}, #end

Hi there, I am trying to figure out in my data extract how to determine what 'Stream' a lead is currently in. I'm using a control group stream to not send email to 10% of the leads and now need to do reporting off of who is in that stream.   An old post from 2016 says its not possible, but the documentation here, https://developers.marketo.com/rest-api/endpoint-reference/lead-database-endpoint-reference/#!/Leads/getLeadsByProgramIdUsingGET made it look like it was. It has a reference to the stream (see below):  ProgramMembership { stream (string, optional): Stream that the lead is a member of, if the parent program is an engagement program   The problem we are having is when we call that endpoint the stream field isn't returned. We then thought we may have to include it as part of the optional 'fields' parameter, but that just throws a script error.   Am I misreading the documentation or setting up the json call incorrectly.    Thanks
