Adobe Marketo Engage General

My company has two custom tokens in Marketo that are used to display our sales owner's calendar link. One token is for leads while the other is for contacts, but they both have the same values depending on the sales owner (formula field in Salesforce so doesn't sync automatically). My Salesforce Admin has said that those fields are allowed to be mapped on the Salesforce end, but in order for my team to use these tokens efficiently, I will have to segment the lists based on leads versus contacts from what I know.Is it possible to map these two tokens together in Marketo so that we only have to send one email instead of segmenting the lists and sending two? There must be a way to do this with dynamic content that I am just not aware of at the moment.

Check out this script. It currently looks in our 'lead.Subscribed_Products_From_Account__c' field for various words and if it finds a match, outputs a link, if it doesn't find a match outputs a different link.   #if( $lead.Subscribed_Products_From_Account__c.contains("Alpha")) <b><a href="https://mysite.com">https://mysite.com</a></b>* #elseif( $lead.Subscribed_Products_From_Account__c.contains("Beta")) <b><a href="https://mysite.com">https://mysite.com</a></b>* #elseif( $lead.Subscribed_Products_From_Account__c.contains("Gamma")) <b><a href="https://mysite.com">https://mysite.com</a></b>* #else <b><a href="https://NOTmysite.com">https://NOTmysite.com</a></b>* #end     How can I combine the first 3 rules into a single rule?  I have tried the option below but it does not work -    #if( $lead.Subscribed_Products_From_Account__c.contains("Alpha","Beta","Gamma")) &l

Does anyone know why custom css added to a form wouldn't work when the form is embedded on the website? It is working when I previewed it in Marketo. I used some custom css to horizontally align the radio buttons on a form, but when the embed code is placed on the website, the radio buttons revert back to being vertical. Any ideas? Thank you!

Hello,   I work for a corporate bank and we are using Marketo to communicate with users of our digital banking platform. I'm trying to set-up a campaign that would send an automatic email as soon as a user reaches 90 days without using one of the apps of our platform. However, none of the "Date of Activity" options allows me to do it. I don't want to define a specific date, I want to say "for more than 90 days".   Does anyone had the same problem? How did you solve it?     Thank you, Rita

Hello Community members!   My company currently only sends Marketo leads to Salesforce once they're deemed qualified (lead score = 40) and we're seeing gaps in our data/process: Sales can't find a lead that's still only in Marketo (usually when the lead calls or messages Sales directly) so they create them fresh in SFDC, which leads to duplication issues and incorrect attribution While our databases are similar, there are a number of leads that live only in Marketo and we want to ensure that SFDC is always our record of truth I'm setting up Smart Campaigns to push leads into SFDC upon creation to resolve the above issues and I'd love to get some extra eyes/expertise on my set up to make sure that what I've done makes sense (I sadly don't have a sandbox environment to play in).     Smart Campaign (Trigger - for all future leads) While I've included the extra constraint on the trigger to require a form fill, I realize that's likely redundant as we can't capture new

I have inherited a Marketo setup. I have noticed that we never use the Program Channel Email Send to share our monthly newsletters. Instead, our audiences (ranging from 10,000 - 25,000 contacts) are broken up into 3,000 contact lists and emailed using a Smart Campaign flow. Sometimes, instead of separate lists, the Smart Campaign flow uses Random Sample/ Send Email followed by Remove From Flow to send.   My question: Is Marketo unable to send more than 3,000 people an email without breaking? At what size audience should I build these throttles? Should I use the Program type Send Email to set up a Smart List that sends 20,000 contacts an email?

I'm looking to set up the Zoom integration with our Marketo instance. I know it requires a Zoom admin account to set up but how does that works where we have multiple users who set up their own Zoom webinars with their own accounts?

I recently sent an email blast with utm tagged CTA URL like: https://www.example.com/offer-registration.html?utm_medium=email&utm_source=marketo&utm_campaign=ES-2021-05%20Investment%20Truths    When looking at Google Analytics data, a large number of sessions have been attributed to completely different utm_source and utm_campaign values (row 1, below). Row 2 reflects the utm source/medium/campaign values I'm expecting.    I suspect these sessions are not indicative of humans engaging with my email. Perhaps email filters? Bot clicks?     Oddly, the wrong values have the same number of characters/hyphens/spaces as the values I expected to track.    Any ideas as what's happening here?

In reports of type Email Link Performance, every unique URL, including the Query String, is given its own line under the E-mail name.We always add a unique ID in the QS (linked to the lead ID) for all outgoing mail.  (Note: this is the only way to get Munchkin to track web pages by Marketo Lead, so please don't bother recommending not adding this token.)As a result, Email Link Performance reports are close to useless for us: imagine seeing 1000 individual lines with no added value, each with one click and one lead (it's actually even worse than that as we have multiple clickable URLs per e-mail).Is there any way to get a report with the exact same data, only rolled-up (grouped) by http://host/path, regardless of Query String?

Hi everyone,   Does anyone have an integration with a 3rd party SMS provider within Marketo that they can give me a quick demo of?   My company Telnyx is considering building an integration with Marketo to allow people to send SMS or do number lookups without having to use webhooks so I would like to do some benchmarking and see how other providers have these integrations set up and how people are using them, what can be better etc.   If you can give me a demo please send me a DM 🙂

Hi, We have a situation where href  references(URLs) in <a> tag generated via email script tokens are not trackable. Dynamic content which will be sent by an email with links to the user. These URLs are dynamic based on the user preferences.  Created an email template with HTML  and CSS text Defined an email script token to get HTML text which includes URL links to dynamic content from a custom object  example HTML derived via email script token: <tr><td class="cssclass">Document heading <br /><hr class="cssclass"><a class="cssclass" href="documentlink.com/Display?ab=asdf">DocmentLink Text</a><br /><a class="cssclass" href="documentlink.com/Display?ab=abcd">DocumentlLink</a><br /></td></tr><tr><td class="cssclass">Document Heading <br /><hr class="cssclass"><a class="cssclass" href="documentlink.com/Display?ab=abcd">DocumentLink Text</a><br /&gt

I recently started at an association that uses both Marketo and Sitefinity. I'm new to Marketo, though I eventually may be responsible for our Marketo instance as I learn it and take on more responsibility with my role. We are looking into using the Marketo Connector for Sitefinity to connect web forms in Sitefinity to Marketo.   If anyone has experience with the Marketo Connector for Sitefinity, I'd love to hear about your experience with it. What the setup process and timetable was like, anything we should be aware of as we purchase the Connector and set it up with our IT Team, any tips and tricks, anything you think may be relevant for me or our team to know as we further integrate these systems.    Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide to a noob like me!

Does any else have this bug where change data value actions from SFDC are incorrectly being associated with a previous campaign?

Hi,    We are tying to use Deliverability tool -> Design Previews for all our emails. We are seeing weird green background color for some of the email clients. This is normal?   How to fix this?

Hello! We just signed up with Marketo (yay!) and I'm looking for an implementation partner. The one that was recommended to us by the sales rep is not very impressive.  I can't seem to find anything on Marketo's website that lists their partners. I've looked at LaunchPoint and all I see are apps - not implementation partners. Also, we use Dynamics 365.   Does anyone have any recommendations or know where I can find a list of partners?    Thanks! Jodi

I'm using paid media to drive traffic to a content offer in the form of a Marketo landing page with Marketo form. The form is capturing utm values that allow me to track which ad platform/campaign generated any new people.   Question: How can I set an Acquisition Program value representing the ad platform (e.g. OA-Google Ads) when Marketo is implicitly setting Acquisition Program (e.g. WC-Content Offer) based on the form fill within the offer program?    I'd like to avoid unblocking field updates to my 'Acquisition Program Name' so I don't accidentally change wanted data.    It's best practice to block field updates for the acquisition field so you don't accidentally change the value.  https://nation.marketo.com/t5/product-blogs/marketo-behavior-when-changing-an-acquisition-program/ba-p/242700   Thanks for any help!

We're currently transitioning from Eloqua to Marketo and I'm stumped on how to recreate functionality in Marketo that we have used in the past with Eloqua. I have outlined the scenario below:   We regularly survey our clients and use a UTM code to capture who is replying to the survey. This saves us from adding the self identifier fields within the survey and therefore saves our clients time. We used to do this in Eloqua by using this code    Email=~~eloqua..type--emailfield..syntax--EmailAddress..innerText--EmailAddress..encodeFor--url~~   at the end of the survey URL and then had it feed to a hidden field in the survey.    I cannot for the life of me find a similar code to map into a URL to use in an email in Marketo. Is anyone familiar with this? Do you know the code we should use to do this?    Thank in advance for the feedback!    Dani

Hello,   Our company is about to roll out a new chat feature on our website. I'd like to build a smart campaign that will capture any engagement through the chat as an "interesting moment".   Has anyone tried to do something like this? I tried looking for some Marketo documentation on the subject but picking's are slim.   thank all, Mark

Hello,   Is there a way to configure MSI alerts to show only the emails marketing wants sales to see?     Thanks all, Mark

Hi Marketo Community   We are looking to implement On24 into our org. One of our requirements for On-Demand events is to be able to gate the content via a centralised form; ideally catering for multiple languages (one central form per language). On24's Engagement Hub does have this available BUT only for one language and visibility rules are not available on the On24 form.    We are currently looking into our CMS possibilities (Sitecore) to see if we can use a Marketo form ID to overlay the Engagement Hub, but I would like to know whether other Marketo clients have had similar requirements and if any workarounds have been achieved to date?   Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone! I got a recent issue with an email performance report, I need to report KPIs (sent, delivered, bounces, clicks, opens, and unsubscribes) in general and in the 2 partitions existing in the instance. For this purpose, I'm using the person partition filter in the smart list section of the report for each instance and removing the filter to get the general data.    The issue is that it is supposed that the sum of the KPI numbers of the 2 partitions should match the ones on the general numbers (without filter), and currently, they are not matching, actually, the difference is very big, sometimes even 50 to 70% between the report and the actual sum of the partitions KPIs.    Am I missing something? is this normal in the email performance reports?

Hi there, I'm hoping that someone has been a similar situation-- Our sales team is looking to remove contacts from specific SFDC campaigns that are directly synced with engagement streams. When a salesperson deletes someone from a synced SFDC campaign, is the person completely removed from the engagement stream?   I thought that they would be, but what I'm seeing is that the individual is removed from SFDC, but I have to go in and manually pause them from the engagement stream.   Is this how it's supposed to work? I thought that if someone was deleted from a synced SFDC campaign, they would be removed from the stream.   Thanks so much for your help!Lauren

Quick post today to provide reference on the Touchpoint Position “Pending” that you might see in Buyer Attribution Touchpoint (BAT) reports.   Marketo Measure (fka Bizible) has 4 milestone Touchpoint Positions: First Touch, Lead Creation, Opportunity Creation, and Closed. If you have access to the Custom Attribution Model though, you might have added other Touchpoint Positions such as MQL or Demo Scheduled.   Here comes the curveball… when you’re looking at a Buyer Attribution Touchpoint report, you might also see a Touchpoint position of Pending. Here is what it would look like:   Pending is stamped as the TP Position when the Opportunity is still open because Attribution credit must always add up to 100%. To elaborate further, if you’re using the Full Path Model (22.5% to FT, LC, OC, Closed and the remaining 10% to any middle touches) and the Opportunity is still Open, the 22.5% credit that is allocated to Closed must go somewhere. So Marketo Measure has the tempora

Hey,   I want to display Meeting StartTime and End time (Total Meeting time is 30 minutes) like Tuesday, May 18, 10:00 -- 10:30 am EDT The field I am using is 'Appointment_Start_DateTime_Text__c' (DataType = Text).   The value of the 'Appointment_Start_DateTime_Text__c' is '05/03/2021 10:00:00 AM EDT' #foreach($obj in $sorter.sort($Activity_Marketo__cList , "CreatedDate__c:desc")) #set($Appointment_Start = $date.toDate("MM/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss a", $obj.Appointment_Start_DateTime_Text__c)) #set($dateFormatted = $date.format("EEEE, MMM. dd", $Appointment_Start)) #set($salutationdate = $date.format("MMMM d", $Appointment_Start)) #set($dateFormattedHours = $date.format("hh:mm a", $Appointment_Start)) #set($FormattedStartDate = $date.format("EEEEE, MMMM d,", $Appointment_Start)) #set($FormattedStartTime = $date.format("h:mm", $Appointment_Start)) ## EndTime ## #set($FormattedEndTime1 = $Appointment_Start.calendar) #set($FormattedEndTime = $FormattedEndTime1.add(12,30)) ## EndTime
