Adobe Marketo Engage General

Hi all,   Am I correct that you can only deploy a Poll to a social media page?  I've done some article look-ups and cannot find a direct answer.  Thanks.   Dave

Hello Marketing Nation!   I hope you all are doing well. I wanted to let you know about some exciting updates we made to the Community interface recently. These improvements make it easier to interact and sort Community content, view your personal messages and notifications, and learn about your peers’ contributions in Community. Please read the summary below and let me know if you have any questions or feedback!   Community Feed   The first change we made was adjusting how posts are surfaced in the Community feed. Now, you can see the latest replies to all topics in Community, even if the topic was published a week or a month ago. This way, you can stay up to date on the latest conversations your peers are having. We’ve included some post metadata so you can see which of your peers responded or created the post.     We made sure to keep the previous feed for the individuals that still prefer it. You can still filter by net new topics by clicking on the “Recen

We need to be able to create a refreshable list view (not a report) against campaign members in Salesforce.   As Marketo logs activities to leads and contact records, and we group everything into salesforce campaigns, we want to have a list view, with a refresh button, that surfaces campaign members from any campaign, lead or contact, with a last activity date of yesterday, for example.   Has anyone done this?  via the Salesforce UI? a plug-in? custom programming?

I am sorting out form entries by the column "Created" and also "Updated" but this doesn't  work for existing users who have filled out form previously.  Can you advise how I may set up a column that will sort form submissions by date.

Hi all,    I have a query, we are about to build a Marketo form, it will be the same form e.g. FORM X  which we intend to implement across our website.   My question is, if all forms have the same name, how do we know which form is performing best? Is there a way to tag the form to know which page it refers from?   thanks   Michael

We have a ton of forms on our website. We want to update the company range drop down field on the form. How do I make the mass update to all of the forms?

Hi there,    I am trying to get various Velocity script to fetch data from a Subscription SFDC Custom Object and I wanted to ask help in understanding how do I make sure that I am selecting the relevant Subscription record. I am trying to only select the records whose subscription is ending in the next 3 months.    Thus, I wanted to check if there is a way in VTL to filter/constraint certain conditions? So the script always picks up the relevant data. ?   Example Script:    ##Fetch Subscription Data from SFDC Custom object #set($SubscriptionName = ${Subscription__cList.get(0).Name}) #set($SubscriptionStatus = ${Subscription__cList.get(0).Subscription_Status__c}) #set($AutoRenew = ${Subscription__cList.get(0).AutoRenew__c}) #set($NextRenewalDate = ${Subscription__cList.get(0).NextRenewalDate__c}) ##Conditions #if (($SubscriptionStatus == "Active") && ($AutoRenew == "true")) ${SubscriptionName} #else Test Fallback Name #end   With this s

Hi - is the munchkin api actually being deprecated? I've heard this mentioned, but have not seen any timeline around this nor can I find any documentation. Does anyone have any additional information on thi?

Hi    Can any one of you help me, from where I can add/view ON24 from Admin panel Integration --> LaunchPoint --> New --> New Service --> Service (drop-down)

Hello, does anyone have a recommendation for a virtual event provider? We are looking at hosting a couple of virtual conferences this fall and are evaluating vendors that have a reliable and robust product and a good integration with Marketo. I have seen On24 recommended on here through my searches but curious to see if anyone else has any other recommendations for virtual event vendors.   Thank you in advance for your feedback!

Apologies if this has been discussed ad nauseam but I have yet to find a complete answer.    I currently have two forms with the same field "Industry" however each form needs a different set of values for different use cases. I understand that if I add new picklist values to the Industry field in SFDC then the existing form will not be updated with the new values, only forms approved after that point.    My question is, if I add the new values in SFDC and then later down the road have to update the existing form for some reason will that form then update with all the values now in the Industry picklist in SFDC? And if yes, is there an option to simply delete the values I don't want from that form or will Marketo make you use exactly the same values that appear in the SFDC picklist? Thanks!

My company is trying to move from our static, Excel-based marketing calendar to the recently released Marketo marketing calendar to manage our email blasting schedule. We currently use one smart campaign to send out an invitation for an event 3 times, but I'm noticing that in the marketing calendar and schedule view only the initial invitation send shows up. Does anyone know if this is the standard/expected behavior? Is there a way to get all email sends in the smart campaign to show up in the calendar, or do we need to start breaking out each send in a different smart campaign?

Hi All! Has anyone sent plain text emails via marketo for an email campaign, and have it look as if the follow up (or second email) to the first plain text email that's sent, is a reply? For instance, in gmail, when I sent an email to someone & they don't answer, I'll send a second email in that thread, so the emails are stacked.    We are trying to make the plain texts emails coming from sales look as real as possible. Let me know if you have tried this or if it's even possible. Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,I activated MSI on our Dynamics accounts yesterday. Everything seems to be working fine, the configuration went well. But on Marketo's documentation, I saw something great which is Lead Feed : Using the Lead Feed - Marketo Docs - Product Documentation Although, only Salesforce is mentionned on the doc. Does Dynamics have a similar dashboard, displaying a view of the recent event from leads but most of all, the Best bets window? It would be a shame not to have a similar display on MSD... If that's not the case, can I use the RSS Feed function to populate similar information from Marketo to Dynamics?Thank you,

Hi community,   I get the feeling that the API endpoint `rest/v1/activities.json` returns empty results in the `Link` field for email clicks, if the email link has been a program token like `{{my.url}}`, and it only returns the actual clicked url, if the url was hardcoded into the email in the veins of `http://example.com`. Can someone confirm this?   This behavior would speak against using tokens for URLs that appear multiple times in an email. At least in case you would like to do further things based on queries activity data.    Thank you in advance!

I am trying to hide specific elements within an email template by using My Tokens I have noticed that although the tokens below can be found in the template, they do not show up when looking in the code of the email template. I have pasted images of the code in both template and the email, but am not sure why the comments and the tokens are removed from the email draft code. Does anyone have any ideas on why this happens?1) I have tried to use both {{ }} and { } for the tokens, but neither token shows up in the code. I do have Program Tokens for these, so that would not be the issue.Template Code:Email Draft Code:

Hi there!   Has anyone used Marketo RTP for retargeting? What's your experience so far?   Any tips on alternatives would also be appreciated!

Hello - I'm new to Marketo and I'm trying to upload a customized HTML template and images. In MailChimp this would be done by uploading a zip file. I've so far been able to upload the HTML and images separately but the links are all broken. Am I missing something?

Hiya What are the pros & cons with using a Marketo API to push data from a non marketo form sitting on a website vs munchkin code on a website form?   Understand the obvious re scoring etc, but does MKTO API have disadvantages I should be aware of? eg, is the data bi-directional if updates to the data are made in MKTO?   Thanks in advance.

We've sent licenses to a set of our Sales teams and it's been a few weeks.  I'm now getting a handful of requests for help, saying that their licenses aren't working.  It's as likely as not related to how long the license code is and them having trouble copying it, but I wanted to ask if there is an expiration period on these invitations?  Should they stay available unless I revoke them?   Thanks, Jason

About a month about I had 30,000 emails in the database. Today I have 91,000 and counting. The increase is 100% bots. How can I prevent these additions going forward? And how can I get them out of our database?    Extremely novice user here.

Hi, there–   New to Marketo so bear with me: I'm hoping to pull a report that shows me open rates for emails that are a part of an engagement program broken up by a certain field value. Is this possible?   We have a custom formula in Salesforce that assigns prospects to 1 of about 7 buckets; I'd like to see open/click/unsubscribe rates in aggregate for each group. Is that possible? An analogous situation might be looking at these metrics by US region (south, east, west, etc.)    Thoughts?

I have set up Google Analytics to fire an event every time a Marketo form is viewed or submitted on our site. Right now, the event passes the four digit form ID in the event label. I would like to be able to pass the program name the form is associated with so it will be easier to tell what program the form is associated with when viewing the data in GA.    Is there any way to pass the program name associated with the form in a hidden field or other form attribute which I could then include in my GA event? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. Damon

There are two things that we are trying to do and wanted to check the feasible ways of doing these as I am new to Marketo. 1. I have a list of email addresses that I received from my sales team that I need to send an email to.  2. The same way I have a list of email addresses that I need to exclude from the main target built within the smart list. Please advise, thanks.

I know there's been many version of this discussion over the years, but I'm curious what's the most current solution since most of what I've seen is from 2018 or older.    My primary concern is that we're starting to see lots of lead scoring for "Web Page Visits" when the visits are coming from email spam filters clicking all the links within seconds of the emails being delivered. This is leading to false increases in a person's score - particularly since each email tends to have between 4-6 links to click.   I've been finding it much easier to filter "Clicks Link in Emails" because I look for a recent email open - I do know this has the effect of throwing the baby out with the bathwater if images are turned off, but my org has decided it's worth losing some images-off reporting given the sheer number of spam filter clicks we're seeing.   My question is, how are you tracking "Web Page Visits" and making sure they're not coming from spam? I had the idea to look for p
