I am interested in implementing the Known Visitor functionality on my forms, but want to set them up such that a returning visitor who filled out a form more than 1 day ago will see the full form again at the start of their next web session. Example: Day 1: person fills out ebook form Day 1: person gets known visitor experience for ebooks 2 and 3, doesn't see form but just clicks Submit button Day 2: person returns to website, goes to a different ebook LP. Gets the full form again. How can I set this up? I see that Adobe does this on their pages, so I know it's possible, but can't find any documentation about it. Thanks in advance.
The create task function to owner should operate similarly to the send alert function where you are able to assign it to a token (ex: {{lead.CSM Owner}}).
Hello - My company is working toward integrating Cvent & Marketo and we're noticing a large disparity in list sizes synced from Marketo to Cvent. A list of 2k contacts in a Marketo list may only sync over 100 or so contacts to Cvent. Does anyone else have experience using Marketo to establish the invite list and then syncing that list to Cvent? Or do users shy away from this because of the inconsistency that exists with the API? Also, when Cvent passes registration/attendance data to Marketo, is it a long lag time for the information to flow over? I find it seems to only sync after I force it to manually. Thanks!
I'm new to Marketo and Velocity scripting, so hopefully this is a dumb question with an easy answer. I'd like to use Velocity to display dynamic content in an email based on a subscriber's Store Number. My current code is below. I'm having issues getting my "version one" to work. My "default" version works fine, though, so I'm assuming it's just a silly formatting error, except I've tried every combination of quotes and parenthesis I can think of. Anyone able to help me figure out what I've screwed up? #set($store = $convert.toNumber($lead.storeNumber) ) #if($store == "106" || $store == "103" || $store == "330" || $store == "104" || $store == "100" || $store == "108" || $store == "102" || $store == "114" || $store == "107" || $store == "117" || $store == "115" || $store == "110" || $store == "112" || $store == "129" || $store == "124" || $store == "140" || $store == "123" || $store == "120" || $store == "135" || $store == "133" || $store == "116" || $store == "121" || $store ==
If a person click a link in email which is directed to one webpage into our website, Will following action capture in his activity log? 1- click link in email activity 2- visited web page
Hello,I have been trying to get a list of forms, which are using specific fields - Is there anyway to create a report for this or export an excel sheet.I know this can be seen in Field Management by going to the 'Field Used By' filter but what if I have to audit many fields together?I have seen a few old discussions before but was wondering if there has been any update on this recently.Thank you!
I have filed a bug for this issue, and the response from Marketo Support was to post this as an issue here. Background: Both Salesforce and Marketo allow carriage return/line feed (CRLF characters) in text fields. In SFDC, for example, users can type sentences, hit the Return key, and thus format entries into paragraphs. When this field syncs to Marketo, Marketo also displays the text with line breaks in its UI for the person record. When you import text with CRLF characters into Marketo, the CRLFs are also preserved. @sanfordwhiteman also has a famous workaround for inserting CRLF characters in tokens. Issue: When the same field is inserted into a Marketo HTML email using a field token, Marketo strips out the CRLF characters when it inserts the contents of the field. Thus, a field that was a series of paragraphs in SFDC and Marketo turns into a single paragraph in an HTML email, often making it unreadable. Why This is a Problem: If the CRLF character was
Hi all, While testing the links of a Marketo email, one of my colleague got this message on this browser (Macbook + OS11.4 + Chrome or Firefox) "Your connection is not private" - similar to this https://nation.marketo.com/t5/knowledgebase/tracked-email-links-return-your-connection-is-not-private/ta-p/250847 All the links work fine for the rest of the team so I believe the branded tracking links starting are secured. We are not sure if we should send the email in case other customers see the security message. Any idea what could have possibly happen?
Hi, I'm trying to edit an email template in Design Studio but the template is opening in the source view as opposed to a Preview. I thought I had already edited a template in this way. Am I mistaken, or can they only be updated using the code?
Hi All, I think we should need similar report and filter to Landing page performance report similar to Web Page Activity report. Filters like Activity source so we can tack anonymous user information which currently not in Landing page performance report.
I need to send an alert email with the respondent's answers. I need to write a token for a field I created in a form that has radio button answers. If my token name is "{{lead.PrivacyQuestion1}}" then what is the value?
Hi! We’re seeing a huge discrepancy between the numbers in Marketo and the numbers in our other reporting platforms (Bizible, Tableau), where utm source is roughly four times lower in Marketo for the month of June (Data Value Changed = utm source, Value = paidsearch, Between June 1-18, & previous/new values). Our conversion per person number is nowhere near 4x, so it can’t be repeat converters causing the discrepancy. Has anyone else seen anything similar? How should I go about fixing this?
Hi All! I am wondering if anyone else has ever experienced a similar issue. We had a list of records we uploaded into a program, some of which were net new leads. The program was synced over to SFDC. Some of the new leads did not sync to SFDC due to an error with a required field. Upon fixing the error, and re-syncing the record, all of the net new leads synced over without the program history, even though in Marketo they are marked with the appropriate program status. Has anyone ever experienced this before & how did they remedy it? Support seems stumped with this one....
Hello, Is it possible to allow a third party partner to retrieve email performance numbers [sends, opens, clicks, opening rates, CTR, Unsubscribes] and program names only and exclude personal data [names, email address, etc]? Thanks
So, you have an email campaign. Then you want to serve ads ONLY to those who open that email. How do you do it? Note: a new audience is generated every day. So a daily email goes out... Thank you so much!
Attempting to sync Marketo "Leads" to Salesforce Accounts. Receiving "INSUFFICIENT_ACCESS_OR_READONLY: insufficient access rights on object id" error message.Marketo Sync user has profile that allows for Read, Create, Edit, Delete, and View All for Accounts and Contacts. (Same for Leads, except does not have "View All".)When I log in as the Marketo Sync user, I can access the accounts, and edit them. (Some of the Edits fail due to required fields missing data.) However, a number of records have all the required information, and still fail to sync.Note: Decent Salesforce experience, but very limited Marketo Admin experience, so not sure where to start.
Have access to a dashboard that breaks down the daily web services error notification by error and by integration user. Potentially even adding more detail like the exact time the errors took place or an optional log file that can be downloaded could be added. Currently the only way to get this information is opening a ticket with support and requesting the detailed information day by day.
Hi, We have an MCC account in Google Adwords, meaning we have several Google Adwords accounts all under one parent account. When trying to integrate Marketo with Google Adwords according to their documentation it doesn't show the screen in which we need to choose which accounts to sync. With or without a connection to it, it seems the conversions are only marked partially in Adwords even though we know we had conversions and people in every stage in our revenue cycle model in Marketo. Does anyone here have an idea what's the reason for this? We spoke with Marketo's support and Google Adwords's support but to no avail. Thanks.
Hi, we are using the integration with Linkedin lead gen forms and whenever someone submits a form I can see in the activity log the campaign name in Linkedin associated with the form submission. Is there a way I can copy the Linkedin campaign name value to a custom field I created in Marketo? Thanks.
Good morning, I'm reaching out to you because we want to change the way our sales handles the MQLs from Marketo. Up until now, when we sync a new lead from Marketo, I ask Marketo to sync it as a lead and built the GUID with a Contact ID. Now, we want to improve this process and sync them as Leads, and then Sales transform them directly from Dynamics in Contact if applicable. Problem is: when the transformation happens on Dynamics, the info is not coming back to Marketo. The Lead is still known as a "Lead" (Dynamics type of items), but as a "Contact" on Dynamics. Meaning the direct link to Dynamics to the Lead is not working anymore as the GUID was populated with a Lead ID... I guess this is a known case but I don't get how to fix this. Maybe we need to build some flow on Dynamics to communicate the info of the transformation to Marketo? I'm open to ideas. Thanks!
For instances synced with Salesforce: Currently the "Was Added to Opportunity" filter can be filtered by using the contraints: Is Primary Role (i.e. the Contact Role) These 2 constraints are currently missing from the "Has Opportunity" filter. It would be beneficial if the "Has Opportunity" filter could be filtered by the "Is Primary" and "Role" fields given that the "Was Added to Opportunity" data is only retained for 25 months whilst the "Has opportunity" field is retained for longer (I don't think there's any limit?). Note that a possible workaround to the "Was Added to Opportunity" being retained for only 25 months could be to recreate the "Was Added to Opportunity" activity by setting up an automated process in SFDC to remove contacts from the opportunity in SFDC and then re-add them 25 months after they were added as a contact role. Annoying having to do this though.
Hi, I would like to insert a form in a banner on the home page! But after I submitted this form the banner disappears and on the homepage, there is the box blank What I can do in order to be always visible? Thanks
Hi team, Would like to suggest updating the Industry picklist in the Firmographic category to include a more comprehensive list of Industries. Missing in particular the "Insurance" picklist value. Thank you, Emilia
We made some changes to our forms recently in order to use a single form along with multiple "thank you" pages. I'm monitoring the activity of these forms to ensure everything's working correctly, but I'm finding that some new contacts don't have any webpage activity logged before/after their form fill, while others do. This is making it tough for me to ensure our form changes are working correctly. Here's an example of a new person whose webpage activity was tracked. I see both the page the form lives on and the "thank you"/follow up page were both visited, so I know this form fill worked correctly. Here's a different new person who filled out the same form on the same page, but no webpage activity is logged. Has anyone else seen this before? Thanks in advance for any feedback.
It would be great to have a native integration with Microsoft Advertising as an installed service option in LaunchPoint.
