Adobe Marketo Engage General

Hi guys,  Started working with Marketo this year, so very new to this community.  I found a weird bug highlighted by our team, when clicking on "view in browser" in the web browser view, the token (first and last name in the example I share) disappears. Have you experienced this? Any ideas on how to fix this, or maybe remove the option altogether?form.deloitte.lu/index.php/email/emailWebview?email=ODU0LVFZSy05MTgAAAGaILpYL_QC6B7NwdvbdTI5xwOpjSNnG30PZac9TpzJh4-X5lBfREzmGf4Wj9rxIDl6kMEVqDrLlktKnMCXQ2CWHThnb2ssvo3Zcg Thanks a lot!Fábio

Has anyone dealt with a situation where the wrong form is being submitted when people register for something on your website? We have seen both of the following:-One form is submitted from a specific referrer and it is not the form on that referring page-Two forms are submitted at the same time. One of the forms is the correct form and the other form is incorrect. My sense is that this is an issue with Contentful, our CMS, but they haven't offered much assistance in investigating the issue, so I thought I would reach out to see if anyone else has seen something similar. We haven't been able to replicate it and I can only learn so much when digging into individual Marketo person records once we see someone has been affected by this. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Looking for some help understanding something that I can't figure out from available docs and past discussions on the topic. Can someone please clarify the following? 1) When you use the referrer constraint with a Fills Out Form trigger, is the "Referrer" the page the form is embedded on?  2) What part of the Fill Out Form activity in a person's activity log is equivalent to the Referrer constraint from the trigger? Is the "Referrer URL" (listed between "Query Parameters" and "Client IP Address")? 3) What is the "_mktoReferrer" field listed under Form Fields on the Fill Out Form activity in a person's activity log? Sometimes, this value is different from the Referrer URL. This_mktoReferrer URL plays no part in the Referrer constraint, correct?  Just trying to figure out what is the best constraint to leverage with our global forms used on multiple pages. Our Web Dev team is concerned that the Referrer constraint does not consistently reference the page the

I've built an email where most of the content is generated inside of a script token. This token uses a For Loop (and information from the customer's profile) to generate a bunch of CTA's that the customer can click on. This all works fine; I just needed to explain that the For Loop inside the token is vital to the email's construction. Here's the problem: The CTA's created inside of this loop needs to pass the customer's Marketo ID as a way to identify them(something like "website.com/?mID=(Marketo  ID"). I found that I can drop {{Lead.ID}} straight into the email body and it will display the number no problem. However, using that same code inside a token doesn't work. The result is "website.com/?mID={{Lead.ID}}".Next I tried declaring it as a variable inside of a token. I check the box next to "Marketo ID", wrote "#set( $m_ID = ${lead.marketoID}) at the top of my token, and then wrote the URL into the token as "website.com/?mID=${m_ID}." The end result is the link looking lik

Hi all, what is the difference between Referrer and Web Page as constraints on the fills out form trigger? We have been using the trigger Fills Out Form (ID 0000) with the constraint Web Page is (www.abc.xyz) for over a year without any major issues. However, we discovered last week that two of these triggers were failing to qualify leads consistently. There were 100+ leads who sat in Marketo without qualifying for these two triggers they were supposed to qualify for. Meanwhile, another 100+ leads were qualifying for these two triggers without any issue. There was no difference in their behaviors or form fill out activity, so our team was stumped and Marketo support was stumped. The official Marketo support suggestion is to swap the trigger constraint to Referrer is (www.abc.xyz) instead of Web Page. They say the constraint for Web Page is really only for Marketo landing pages and we use Wordpress, so they cannot guarantee it will work.My unanswered, follow up questions are: -Why is thi

Hello All,Recently, I tried adding predictive content email images to my template. I followed the steps mentioned in the documentation, but whenever I previewed or sent a sample of my template, the image appeared broken.Additionally, the image URL changed to ****.mktoapp.com/recommen.... or something similar.Has anyone faced this issue before? Any suggestions on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated!

I have synced the scheme for a Salesforce custom object, and I have set up some velocity scripts to pull through the data into an email. The problem I have is the data isn't pulling through. It appears the script is correct, so the suggestion has been to make sure the following is enabled: Enable for Email Scripting and Show in Person Detail:In the Salesforce Object Sync section, make sure that the following settings are enabled:✅ Enable for Email Scripting (This is critical for your Velocity script to work)✅ Show in Person Detail (This ensures the object is visible in the person's record)  The problem I have, is that I don't see these options in the customer object. It looks like I am still on a legacy sync, so I don't know how to solve this.Does anyone know how I can enable these two options for this custom object. I am under some time constraints. EEEK.Thanking you in advance.

In Marketo,  all these web page visits are   recorded in the visit_web_page activity. This acitivity also has a time that is associated with each activity. We are also tracking all the page activity via a separate home grown system that is similar to Google Analytics. Now, I need to associate the activity captured by marketo with the activity captured by this system. However, the dateTime between Marketo and the home grown system are not in sync. As a result I am not able to associate them 1:1.I am trying to see if I can generate a unique id somewhere and pass it to marketo as well as the home grown analytics platform so that it makes it easier for me to join the two data source 1:1.

I track all our emails with UTM parameters and the regular marketo tracking. what's the use of mkt_tok?

Hey Marketo hivemind! Its been a while since I've seen any posts regarding the revenue cycle modeler and wanted to ask for opinion/best practice in setting up the model transitions. I'm currently working on setup/update our model and I seem to recall that at one of the MUGs it was recommended to use a program and smart campaigns via "change revenue stage" flowstep to move someone through the RCM transitions instead of building the logic directly in the model transitions.  I can't seem to find any other references to this though so figured I'd ask folks how they do it these days?

Greetings!I would like to edit the list of selections in a drop down field in my Marketo form. There are often too many selections and some that I would like to add. If I remove some of the selections and add some new ones, how would that affect what gets mapped over from Marketo to SFDC for that field?

Hello there, I'm Jiwon.I would like to additionally track web activities on a completely new domain that is different from the domain name currently set on my instance. If this is possible, how should I modify the existing Munchkin code? Also, I have one more question:Can I distinguish activities by domain in the activity log of person? I hope someone can help me. Thank you.

Does anyone know if you can delete an event partner from LaunchPoint services? Trying to delete BrightTalk and since there are past events associated to it, it cannot be removed. The only way to unlink the webinars from the event service is to remove all members first, and we definitely do not want to do that. It is more of a cleanup than anything else, but if anyone has any experiences/suggestions I would love to hear them. Thanks,Jason

Hello Community, I recently Integrated UplaodCare with marketo using the rich text in form and included that in my lading page, I am able to the upload button but has no style how can i include my own style to it. It currently looks like this.   Thank you

In our team, campaign planning happens in Salesforce where details about the url being tracked are entered. These url's then needs to be used to create the Smart lists in marketo. This process is error prone & time consuming. I would like to be able to create a utility that will be a Marketers assistant that will take the URL from Salesforce and generate the Marketo Smart List.I read that this isn't possible today. Is this on the product roadmap by any chance?

Hi, I will apply utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign to my landing pg link that will be converted to a QR code for people to scan.Do I have to create new field values in Marketo for each of these utm parameters to support these efforts? Will be hidden fields in the form. If so, would it be best to create those in our CRM system and then they'd sync down as new field values into Marketo? (using Microsoft Dynamics)Wondering: does Salesforce have those parameters already built in? Thank you.

Hey everyone,   If you're managing a large database and running a high number of active triggered campaigns, you might have experienced something we’ve had to learn the hard way: Marketo becoming significantly slower, especially when complex automation setups are involved. In our experience, and according to other sources from on the internet, having too many active trigger campaigns can lead to latency and performance issues across your instance. This is particularly true when combined with a large volume of leads or complex Smart List logic. In fact, some of the biggest contributors to slowdowns include: A high number of active trigger campaigns High lead volume Complex Smart Lists , especially those using nested conditions Having campaigns with multiple layers of executable campaigns These elements, when used together, can introduce artificial wait times in campaign processing and cause global system slowdowns that affect everything from email sends to Smart List c

My salesforce admin team have created a new object linked to an Opportunity.I wanted to check if this should be visible in Marketo? I have visited the Salesforce Objects Sync following these instructions https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/marketo/using/product-docs/crm-sync/salesforce-sync/setup/optional-steps/enable-disable-custom-object-sync I have a couple of questions if anyone could assist? 1) If I disable the global sync, I am assuming that the back log will be dealt with, and their will be an option to renable the global sync.2) to refresh the Schema will this be ok to run during the day, is it heavy on calls?3) the schema isn't showing in the search bar, will this new schema appear once I have completed Step5? Just a bit nervous of grinding everything to halt and it not be doing what I'm expecting. thanking you

Hi, I'm just looking for a steer on the best approach... I want to set up a trigger to listen for changes in an opportunity, and then send an email. This will be a custom field = True and the Stage has changed to Closed Won. What is the best way to identify the recipient. is it best I identify the person and add them to a list and then send the email once they hit the list? Or is the email going to be sent to all the related contacts in Contract roles? The field I need to use are not live in Salesforce yet, so I have limited testing on the actual fields.   Any guidance is very welcome.

We are looking to fetch the activity log of contacts into our CRM. However, I’m currently unable to identify which field stores the activity details and the type of activity associated with each person, along with the relevant API to access this information.

Has anyone had luck with collecting ECIDs into Marketo when using Web SDK (alloy.js) for data collection on a website?  The automatic collection of ECIDs worked fairly well when using the ECID service (Visitor.js) as the Munchkin.js script contains logic to read in the AMCV cookie and pass this information in visitWebPage and clickLink calls in the _mchEcid query string parameter, resulting in the ECIDs field being populated in Marketo anonymous and known lead records.  However, when using Web SDK (alloy.js), this ECID sync no longer functions as different cookies are used for identity storage (kndctr_<ORG_ID>_identity), which Munchkin.js does not attempt to read.  I am trying to do this manually by including the ECID as a custom parameter in visitWebPage and clickLink calls, but it doesn't seem to function quite the same as the behavior observed when using Visitor.js.  With Visitor.js, based on my testing, existing lead records would be updated

How to create a background image with contents in a Guided lp template.

Hi, I've created an email using the new email (New Email Designer) feature but can't see an obvious way in which to send an email test and was wondering if other people had experienced a similar issue and/ or if there is an easy way in which to do this? Thanks for your help.

Hi,I have selected my form, but it is positioned to the right of section 2. However, Another part of section 2 is a text block that is left alignment. I would like my form centered, but if I eliminate the text block in section 2, my form still remains right aligned.I cannot hide section 2 as the form is built into that section. I have not had this issue before and the code is matching other templates I've worked with before, so unsure what I can do within the program set up to resolve without affecting the base, master template? Thank you.

Who do you all use for an email verification tool for checking emails before we import them into Marketo and send emails?
