Adobe Marketo Engage General

Not sure how feasible this is but, It would be great if there was a filter or constraint within Marketo which could tell you if a Lead viewed the HTML or Text version of an email.

When synchronizing programs with SFDC campaigns, all members are synch'ed, which implicitly pushes leads to SFDC. It tend to push leads to SFDC quite early, which is not desired, all the more so as it will have side effects later, with regards to assignment (see here ). workaround exist in SFDC through lead queues and workflows, but it requires cooperation from SFDC admins that is not necessarily easy to get.So I would like to be able, when we create channel statuses, to decide which one would be pushed as campaign member statuses in SFDC and would trigger an implicit lead creation in SFDC. This would just take the form of a check box, similar to the "Success" checkbox.-Greg

As a user, it would be helpful if there were more options for dialogs in RTP. One key thing that would be excellent to have is a dialog that is only activated when a person goes above the URL line in a window, or an exit intent.

Hey MKTO,Here I am, 2+ years in production and I hear that a tag we have been using since we went live needs to be decommissioned. I am able to hide tag values, but am unable to delete an entire tag across all programs. Maybe I'm a little obsessive compulsive, but I like things clean and only want to show program tags that are required.  Just like the mass approval capability we have in the Design Studio with Landing Pages and Emails, we should be able to mass update tag values across all programs in MKTO.This functionality should include a way to filter programs based on name or tag and mass append, edit, or delete selected program tags. This would be extremely helpful as I currently need to edit each program individually if I want to remove or edit the tag value. With 400+ programs, this is not currently feasible.Sincerely,Keith Nyberg

There should be an option to hide or remove named account lists in RTPOr at the very least change the view filter options

If we want to capture URL Parameters (Query Strings) from the page the person is on when filling out the form, currently we can only use URL Parameters to populate hidden fields.Other popular form creation tools allow form creators to populate field values with URL parameters for other types of fields, such as text, checkbox, and radio fields.Marketo, can you please figure out a way to allow form field values to be set via URL parameters for regular fields, not just hidden ones? For example, note how on this form, using a popular form creator tool, we can fill in the value of the first field via the URL parameter:form.jotform.com/52586480655970?article_id=12345

Please, please, please add the smart list tab  to the landing page performance reports in analytics so I can suppress employees and designers from my reporting. Numbers are so inflated on my landing page conversions and my boss doesn't understand how a marketo report can't accommodate this simple request. Thanks.

Hi Team,I'm new in Marketo and worked before with Silverpop / IBM Marketing Cloud. We was able to maintained our database manually by using a de-duplication filter. This is something I'm missing in your tool.Challenge: I would like to find contacts in database which have the same "CRM UID" but different email address. In this Example a contact married and has now a new last name:CRM UID          email address500015              molly.mustermann@company.de500015              molly.schmidt@company.deThis means I have to merge these both contacts.I was used to click any field in my database to de-duplicate and keep behavior data alive. Please see my attachements.Best Johanna

The 1:1 merge option is great if you have one off duplicate lead issues. However, when you have uncovered a massive duplicate issue the only option today for a Marketer is to pay for a one-time service or get help from either an internal or external development team to run an API script. These slows us down, and can have major impact on running automation campaigns with the wrong data appending to the wrong record and triggering campaigns out to people.I would really like it if Marketo had a Bulk Merge Tool that had custom rules similar to a smart list/Campaign, and could be ran on a regular cadence to prevent database duplicate bloat.

I've noticed that when testing out your streams, if you have Block Non-Operational Emails on for your Communication Limits and you hit your limit for the day, that it'll affect how you receive your tests. Yes, it makes sense because in a real life scenario, that's what would happen if a lead hit their communication limits in your engagement program, but when testing out your streams, it's annoying to have to go into each nested program or email program and set it to Ignore Limits just to test your streams. Then you have to remember to go back in and put the limits back on.There should be a feature that when testing you can choose to ignore communication limits.

Hello,We have the option to limit the communication per day and per week but it would be great to have the same option by monthWe may have a limitation per week, for example, 3 emails per week, to include some required emails that we may need to send that week, but we dont want to send 3 emails each week, we would like to have Maximum 3 emails per week but also maximum 5 emails per month (for example)Thank you

When using engagement programs, after a couple of months, a significant proportion of the EP members exhaust content without having clicked or nothing. We pause them and/or move them to another (empty) stream. After a while, some of us will create a new EP with new content or reuse existing programs. Some will prefer to update the content (add new, update some, archive obsolete) in existing streams. A few months later, some leads requalify for the program (for instance, they reegage with a form fillout). But then, these leads will only receive the content that has been added since they were paused. And yet, not only they had not reacted to the older content, but have event probably forgotten that they have received it.It would add a lot of flexibility if we had a flow step that would enable us to reset the information about which content has already been sent to a lead. We could reset the whole program, a whole stream or event some specific content in a stream.-Greg

This is a pretty straightforward idea but one I've run into multiple times: once a user is removed from a Marketo instance, they should automatically have their Authorized Support access revoked. Given that the two aren't aligned, this can cause issues and confusion for both Marketo Support and the client.

Currently, you can select to view all Trigger Campaigns in the Marketing Activities tree but from there you cannot export them into a working document or copy and paste them into a working document.  The ability to export would help decrease time spent troubleshooting queries, help identify campaigns no longer needed, assist in platform clean-up increasing system functionality. Please see screenshot attached that supports this idea.

You may have noticed that you can drag and drop a person/group of people from a list/smart list view into a list in the left navigation and they will be added to the list. Essentially, it is a much more convenient and faster way to run a "Add to List" flow action for them: It would be great if we had that same functionality for "Campaign is Requested: Source: Marketo Flow Action". You can view a list/smart list and click and drag and drop a person/group of people to the requested smart campaign in the left navigation and they will request the campaign.

It would be great if there was a feature for the "Visits Web Page" trigger or filter to have the option for "Web Page" is "same".  It would help filter out "email bots" when you see the same web page visited 10+ times within minutes.

I´ve stumbled across this issue multiple times. If I want to shrink an image so it can better fit in an email or Landing Page, I have to edit it from my computer, save it again and upload it into Marketo with a new size. This makes me have at least 5 logo images and waste a lot of time, even though the images are basically the same but change dimension slightly. This is something that many programs for mailings solved by using internal image editing sections, which I believe Marketo should have.

Hi All,I would find it extremely useful if we could have visibility of the number of Leads in each step (email or program) of Engagement Streams. Maybe a small bubble with a number by them like the one below:Thanks,

There are 3 areas of CRE (Content Recommendation Engine): Content Bar, Rich Media, & Email. Currently you can customize Rich Media pretty heavily as a developer, and the Content Bar can format color, font family, and font size -- the basics. With Email you get 8-9 layout options which basically has a mix of where the title appears, a choice between a white or grey background, and whether or not you want a button. Very minimal choices. And the quality level of the layouts do not respond well to different size thumbnailsSo, if your top-converting channel is email, as many companies are, you heavily customize and make your emails as functional and appealing as possible -- but if you include CRE (a fantastic way to rotate content by relevance) you end up with mismatch font styles and colors that potentially stick out like a sore thumb! My request is to at least give the option to change the title background color, the font size & family; an uptick in the quality at different ratio s

Problem Statement: We have leads that get into Marketo that we don't have control over the client html?  Therefore we can't add Munchkin Code. In Marketo The Anonymous IP can only be filtered on and not triggered off of unfortunately.Solution: create a function in the REST API that we can trigger Inferred Data.

We would like to query an API that would bring back all the programs a lead is a member of. Potential parameters could be date range, program types, tags a program may possess and more! The use case is: Whenever anyone in our instance is delivered an email we'd like to change a value of a custom field (a field we use to manage subscription preferences). We would hit this API when the email recipient clicks a link at the bottom of their email to, "manage preferences". By allowing us to see all programs the lead is a member of we can customize the page they are about to visit.

GET /rest/asset/v1/landingPages.jsonhttp://developers.marketo.com/rest-api/endpoint-reference/asset-endpoint-reference/#!/Landing_Pages/browseLandingPagesUs…I found undocumented parameters.maxReturn(empty)Maximum number of channels to return. Max 200, default 20querystringoffset(empty)Integer offset for pagingquerystringIt seems it's official as same as similar API's.

Allow the random sample filter to be used in advanced filters. Would help with many campaigns instead of having to find workarounds

When creating Choice Steps in a flow, it is not easy to understand the count of leads accepted by each Choice. This becomes more difficult when using Request Campaign to push leads to a drip - Ideally the Entry condition is the same on the Campaign as on the Choice Step, but what if it's not?  How can we troubleshoot? In the flow, it should have a Counter next to each Choice Step for# Matched Condition# Default ChoiceThis seems possible to do since the Logs do show "Skipped Step" and "Choice #"

It would be useful to be authorized to move images and files from one workspace to another. This not being possible forces you to share folders that do not need to be shared when suddenly you need to change the workspace structure and you want the images to belong to the proper workspace and be accessed by the users. And sharing is not enough since it does not allow users to replace the files : to do so, they need to have read-write access to the source workspace.Furthermore, you usually cannot delete the images, since they are in use in emails, landing pages or templates. So you end up:Exporting all the images one by one (as there is not bulk export feature)changing the file name of the files on your hard driveReimporting the cloned files in the target workspaceEditing all the templates and emails to change the URLsdeleting the old images and files. What a total waste of time!-Greg
