Adobe Marketo Engage General

As revealed by @Dennis Keefer on this thread, the Forms Asset API does not completely expose metadata for hidden fields, such as their default values and their runtime source (cookie, referrer URL param, or current URL param).Only the field name is exposed (and the position, which is immaterial).Unless there is some secret endpoint where these are shown, this must be added for the API to be useful for anything but partial updates of known forms, since this is one of the most commonly used forms features.

After we moved to Marketo v2, the 'show full screen' option disappeared, and we used that to export to a PDF.  Can you please add it back in.New editor v2Old editor v1

How I use Marketo: 26 running partitions, 6 different templates per partition, each partition sends out 2-4 emails per week, 20+ people have access to these partitionsMy (current) problem: Every time we update an email template, the process takes a VERY long time to run. We realized that the update was affecting archived emails- this is a problem for time efficiency, program efficiency (Marketo slows down when mass updates occur), and data. i.e. Every time the template updates, we are losing the ability to see what we sent out at that date and time. Essentially we can't see how we've improved. Having multiple naming conventions for new templates (in that same partition) is not an option as this leaves room for human error. I'd like to propose that once folders are archived, the email breaks the association with the template. (Otherwise, what is the point of archiving emails other than to get them out of the way?)An additional way around this would be able to un-share folders in design

B2B Marketo users need the ability to map "Work Email" from LinkedIn to Marketo using the Lead Gen connector. This will ensure personal email addresses are not entering the database.Through the current connector, LinkedIn auto-fills and maps its "Email" field to Marketo, which is usually a LinkedIn user's personal email address causing problems for B2B organizations who rely on Work email addresses.

When the Program tokens were released I was excited that I'd no longer need to store campaign IDs in tokens, since I could just use {{program.name}}.  As I've been building new programs, I've learned that {{program.name}} isn't valid for a Choice evaluation.  If I try to have a Request Campaign with "If Campaign ID IS {{program.name}}" it doesn't work.  Now I need to go back and add back in Campaign ID tokens where I'd removed them or omitted them thinking that I could save time and be more accurate. This seems to be a defect in the token and the way tokens should be used. I would like to request this issue be addressed so that program tokens can be used for choice evaluations, not just writing data.

Support all of these features in SFDC Lightning:Bulk email sending - You can't choose a set of leads or contacts and send them an email at one timeBulk adding of leads or contacts to a Marketo campaign at one timeThe View in Marketo link on leads and contacts The link to the Opportunity Influence Analyzer within opportunities

Currently, the audience box of an email send program helpfully shows the total leads and the number blocked as clickable smart list links. However, it doesn't show who is actually expected to get the email (leads minus blocked). In my opinion, the actual audience is just as important (or more important) than the other 2 numbers and should be added to this view as a clickable smart list.

The text input field for the image associated with a Rich Media content asset is for some reason limited to URLs explicitly ending in DOS-style filename extensions (the kind which, in older times, were conventionally associated with images; e.g. ".jpg"). However, not every image URL on the internet ends in ".jpg".  Databases and CDNs, for example, may serve images at perfectly valid image URLs that don't end in ".gif" or ".jpg".  The MIME type, file header, or 'Content-Type' HTTP header should instead be used to check that an image is an image. For example, this is a perfectly valid image URL: uberflip.cdntwrk.com/files/aHViPTYzODY3JmNtZD1pdGVtZWRpdG9yaW1hZ2UmZmlsZW5hbWU9aXRlbWVkaXRvcmltYWdlXzU5NzkxY2EwZjAwOTEucG5nJnZlcnNpb249MDAwMCZzaWc9MGZmMGE1MDgzMmU3N2VkNWRmMjkzOWE0ODczNzU3MzI%253D Marketo, can you please fix the image URL field validator for RTP content/assets so the image is validated based on whether it is an image, instead of whether the URL ends in ".jpg"?As seen abov

If you right click on a person you can run flow actions and "View Person Details" to launch their activity log, person data, etc:When you select more than one person you can still run all the same flow actions on multiple people but the ability to "View Person Details" is the only functionality disabled:If we have the ability to run a single flow action on multiple people from right-clicking them, I also believe we should be able to "View Person Details" for multiple people and have a separate tab open for each of them. This functionality would be greatly beneficial when viewing people from the same organization.

The purpose of this idea is to start collecting ideas to enhance the fresh new and awesome Guided landing pages.Being able to choose the templates with a picker (as the email picker) would be really a plus for the users. See Make the LP templates really modular, as emails are. See , and , as well as  . {display:none} still leaves the code in the LP, which might have various drawbacks, starting with the fact that hidden sections still have to be loaded, which slows down the LP displayEnable select / drop list in text variables, in order to limit data entry errors. Enable date and datetime variables. See enable select / drop lists in color variables, to make it easier, reduce errors and limit usable values. See @Michael Roper comment below. We could even use a color palette for color variables, being set by the admin. see Have variable to display (in the landing page edit) in the order they are created and not in a Marketo arbitrary order. Usually, the designer will create them in an

I would like to be able to activate all smart campaigns within a program or a folder at one time instead of going into each individual campaign to activate it.My 2 cents- Greg

Currently the MSI email report output is filterable only by which leads received certain emails during a certain period. However, we would like to be able to generate a report that shows all the MSI emails that were sent out, by specific sales users only, during that same time span.

Our organization needs to be able to invite select customers to in-person events and ONLY have customers on that list be able to complete a registration form and register.Right now, anyone can register for an event - we can set up the program and prevent them from receiving a confirmation email, but that is not effective enough.I do not want to introduce codes or passwords - I just want this functionality from software like Cvent. Please let me know if this is on your product roadmap, it is crucial to our marketing business practices.

It would be nice if we could delete multiple users at once instead of having to delete them one at a time.

It would be very great if we get the undo functionality while modifying the smartlist or flow of a campaign, It happened a lot of time that we delete any filter or action accidentally or change the values in filter which we need again. If Marketo allows us to go 1-2 steps back only then it could help us a lot.

While it's best practice to hide SFDC fields before they are synced, there are many times when Marketers inherit a system, or when new SFDC admin doesn't know to hide new fields. It would be great to have a list view (like in Design Studio), of all the fields available in Marketo, and be able to select multiple to hide at once.

It would be nice to have the ability to be able to say "Show me all duplicate email addresses where at least one of the duplicates has 'x' value."For example, here is my database:Email AddressSFDC TypeJonB@gmail.comContactJonB@gmail.comTimmyT@yahoo.comLeadTimmyT@yahoo.comContactGinaG@msn.comLeadGinaG@msn.comMy smart list filters would be:Duplicate Fields: is Email AddressDuplicate Contains: SFDC Type: is emptyThe result would spit out the duplicates where at least one of the duplicates has an empty SFDC Type, like so:Email AddressSFDC TypeJonB@gmail.comContactJonB@gmail.comGinaG@msn.comLeadGinaG@msn.comOur Possible Duplicates system smart list is at 50,000+ people so to be able to narrow some things down would be very helpful. If there's a better way to do this by all means let me know!

We've been using the Calendar functionality for a few months now and would love to see some added features. In no particular order:Remove weekends from the viewFull Screen mode (to project just the calendar on the screen)"Let me show upcoming entries to a room full of people without dead space around the calendar."Clicking on a day expands the day to see all the entries"Because some days have a lot more entries than others."Ability to view Day/Week/Month or custom time period"I like to be able to zoom in on specific periods and then out to see the big picture."Default option so when you open the calendar it goes to the current date instead of the last entry date"I can click Today from the pull-down, but I now do that every time I open the calendar"Ability to export the calendar to a visual file. Should be exportable to customized time frame."Let me send a file to the executive team that shows all of our activities for the next two weeks."

While I love the token functionality of Calendar ics files, it's not possible to actually style the text created. It always appears as the default hyperlink blue.I would suggest instead of an all-encompassing token that you use in place of text, let's make it simply a hyperlink location. That way, styling it with div/p/span/a tags in HTML would work, and we wouldn't have to put up with simple blue hyperlinks that look like they are from 1998!Phil

It's possible to sort columns (ascending/descending) in an email performance report for columns with absolute numbers (sent, delivered, opened, etc.).  Would be nice to also be able to sort rate columns as well (open rate, click rate, click to open rate, etc.).

Knowing the number of leads and which leads have been acquired by a given program is a key KPI.It would be absolutely great to have the same info in salesforce. This would require that a specific field be created in the campaign member object in salesforce and that this field be sync'ed with the Marketo program "Accquired by" field.Furthermore, it might possible in SFDC to import leads in a campaign, making that SFDC campaign the de facto acquisition campaign in SFDC, in which case it would make sense that the sync'ed program becomes the acquisition program in Marketo. My 2 cents-Greg

It would be great if I could see the full results of an A/B Whole Email test. When you run one of these tests you are able to review the results from the tested group (ex. the first 50% of your selected smart list), but when the winner is determined and that winning email is sent to the remaining 50%, you are unable to see the performance results on the A/B test dashboard.

It would be fantastic if the send sample email dialog box were intelligent... I send tests to myself all the time, and have to populate my email address for the tokens every. single. time. It'd be great if there were a one click process for this...

I love the new Guided Landing Pages, but there is one fatal flaw that keeps me somewhat reliant on free-form landing pages: the ability to use HTML elements. Right now, doing something as simple as adding a Wistia/JWplayer video isn't something a frontend user can do. I can set up a defined space and give a variable for a video ID, but that is certainly not the same as allowing someone to optionally add and remove a video to an area. TinyMCE won't support scripts, so I'm out of luck. Moreover, as pushing the limits of what a Marketo LP can do is something I wind up doing more often than not, and a lot of that requires giving frontend users basic, basic script access to something being done in AngularJS and Backbone to edit a few things that need more than what variables can provide--as much as I'd like to move these styles to guided templates, it would break key functionality.Allowing for a little more finessing under the hood would be amazing.

Marketo allows you to update Program Channel for an existing program (only if there are no members in it). It would be great if we are able to update not only the channel, also the type of an existing program with members in it. As per current functionality, we have to update Member status or remove the Program status flow first. Only after that we can change program channel. There should be a way to retain program members and update the channel or type.
