a/b test engagement stream

Hi all

Can I a/b test my emails within an engagement stream? I want to test the subject line (say 20% of the audience get the split test) then send the winning email to the remaining 80% of the group. This is our first ever engagement stream we are running. We are sending one email a week.

Please help!

Yes, you need to create a Send Email child program within the engagement.

I think that you need to use the champion challenger option. The required steps are quite well outlined if you follow the following articles:

This will allow you to apply the A/B criteria to your email. However, as far as I am aware it is up to you to declare the winner, so you couldn't send the 20% test separately every Tuesday and then the winner automatically every Thursday. 
 
The Email program can automatically send the winner but as far as I know you cannot reference an email program in an engagement stream. 
 
@Josh, I'd be interested to hear more what your option is?

    how can i create a Email Child campain in a Engament Program?
    When I'm in the Engemnet Program / New Local Asset / Program i can select only Event or Default.

    You cannot add an Email Program to an Engagement Program.
