Why do comments disappear when an item is approved?

We'd like to use the comments box as an audit trail but the comments we leave get deleted when the email is approved.  Why does Marketo wipe out comments?  This is a bad feature.

Hey Robb,

Are you talking about the box underneath the email name that appears when you click on the name of the email? If so, that shouldn't be wiped clean.

I'm guessing that you are referring to the treasure chest feature comments in landing page previewer.

I imagine the idea was so that designers and marketer could collaborate up to the point of approval.
