Why are Token's not visible is Test Emails?

Hello,

I am told Tokens are not visible when you sent a test email to yourself. How can I ensure a token is working if I am unable to test it?

They're definitely visible. What do you mean? If it's a lead token you can even pick an example lead to send the sample as...

We have a email sent out that had a token for the GotoMeeting as a Click Here. When I sent the email to my email to review the link was not there? I asked and it was explained that Marketo Support had explained that the Token would not show up unless the email is part of the program or if the event has expired which it has? I thought that was strange, but thought I would check to the community board for thoughts.

The name goes to default when a token is applied. I have seen that before but not a URL or GoToMeeting

Yikes...

@Tara Rowe A token from GoToMeeting is a program level token. It would not render in your test emails. It would work only when you register for the webinar, your program status changes and then the confirmation email goes out via Marketo campaign.

I would recommend creating an actual lead and testing your flow for it using smart campaigns in Marketo.
