Why are some fields missing when exporting field names?

In the field management section of the Admin portal, when using the 'Export Field Names' feature, some of the field names are not exported.  Why is this?

All read-only fields are missing, because it's not possible to import into them

But is it possible for the read only fields to sync to your CRM?
