Which domains are automatically removed from Website field when a lead is created?
I understand it's probably all free email providers, but is there a list with all these domains?

In addition, and this is for Marketo employees- leads with email domain facebook.com are users, not facebook employees.

Idan,

Can you be more specific about which fields and functions you are using?

Hi, I'm referring to how Marketo handles the field Website-
If I open a lead with an for example email idan@walmart.com, marketo will automatically populate the Website field as "Walmart", but if I register with idan@gmail.com then marketo will leave the field empty.
so I'm interested where I can see the list of domains which Marketo ignores.

Also as I mentioned, in some cases Marketo need to update their list like when users register with emails like idan@facebook.com, they're just facebook users since employees have @fb.com email.

Hopefully a Marketo staffer can explain. Maybe you can flag as a Support ticket or Idea to get their attention.

Idan,

Did you figure this out? I'm having similar issues. Can't find where this is configured.

yes, Marketo provided us with a list of 20 domains they consider as free or disposable.
We created our own list of 4,500 free, disposable and junk email domains which we update regularly.

this is marketo's list:
yahoo.com
hotmail.com
aol.com
gmail.com
msn.com
comcast.net
hotmail.co.uk
sbcglobal.net
yahoo.co.uk
yahoo.co.in
bellsouth.net
verizon.net
earthlink.net
cox.net
rediffmail.com
yahoo.ca
btinternet.com
charter.net
shaw.ca
ntlworld.com

Upon lead creation, a smart campaign clears the Website field value if one of the 4500 domains is registered as a lead's website

A tip- do the update manually on your own and store the list in Marketo.
Even services which claim to identify disposable email addresses might fail to do so. FullContact for example offers an Email API (https://www.fullcontact.com/developer/disposable-email-api/) which supposedly detects disposable email domains but when I run their api on domains like @30minuteemail.com they return that it's not disposable.
