What's the best way to manage leads when you have separate business units in SFDC?

What's the best way to manage leads when you have separate business units in SFDC (with private security settings) that could all have the same lead? We're running into problems because Marketo dedups the lead when it comes in even if it comes from a different business unit's campaign. We'd like Marketo only to dedup within the business unit but we dont' have Marketo Workspaces. Is there any way to do this? Does anyone have any other ideas?

Yes, you can call into support and ask them to turn on cusotm de-duping that will allow you to dedupe based on email address AND lead partition.
