what is the difference between 'open email' and 'click email'

I have looked for an explanation in support, but cannot find one.  I presume 'click email' means clicking on a link in an email, but it's possible that an email has no embedded links.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

HI Carolyn,

This is correct.  Clicked email indicates the lead clicked a link in an email while open means the lead only opened.  A click may occur without an open if the lead does not download the images when they open the email.

Thank you, Tara!  Especially helpful to understand the nuance around a click without an open.
