what is the best practice for redoing a program

I have to redo a couple of event programs which is a bit of a mess because the SFDC campaigns that are synced to these programs, the leads are not relevant to the events. Since we redid the channel steps, is it better to just archive the current program and then start a new program with the updated channel and sync to the new and improved SFDC campaigns, and do some batch campaigns to move those who have the registered, pending and decline status into this new program, or should I just unsync the current event programs from the old SFDC campaigns to the new one and then also switch channel type?

it will be easier to do the first option.

You can't change the channel type w/o a lot of extra work.

    Oh thank goodness I picked the right one.  Thanks Josh. I did just  that. I had to do that quickly before I go on vacation, which starts right now!
