What are your communication limit threshold?

I've seen a lot of options. Usually something like 1 per day and 2-4 per week. At one firm we said no more than 2 product promo messages/month, which is a bit harder to pull off.

I personally would go with 1 per day and 2 per week on the Admin side as long as I knew most of the messages were in Engagements.

We set our at 2/day; 4/week.  Reason being, we do a lot of events.  So the event invitation and the confirmation email will be two emails right there.  Unless, of course, you designate the confirmation email as being an operational email.

I use 1 per day max and 3 per week

Eeeek... Ours are basically off. Reason being, we have ~5 (give or take based on the day) newsletters that all go out of Marketo that people have opted into. It is incredibly stressful because we could really over-message people if we aren't careful.
