Question

Webinar Link in Outlook Available Yet?

Can anyone please update me if you can add an event to an Outlook calendar that INCLUDES the link to the webinar in the Outlook calendar? Last User Meeting I went to it still wasn't working.

I know how to add the event to the calendar, but at the time, it didn't include the webinar link and the user would have to fish for the link through their emails.

Thanks!

Linda, are you using GoToWebinar? If so, you can include the token:  {{member.webinar url}} in the Outlook Calendar token, which should add the link.

Hi,

I'm using WebEx, will the token still work, where do I put it?

Thanks,
Linda

Hi Linda,

According to the WebEx Adapter Guide, the same token should work.

In the tokens for the event, I add a calendar event and populate the information as below.

Also, I should mention, the link won't populate unless you register for the webinar (ie, it won't work if you are sending yourself test emails). For GoToWebinar at least, the link is unique to each attendee, so you must register in order for it to generate.

Ok, thanks for your help. I will test it by registering and see if it appears. I can let you know.

Thanks again,
Linda

It works. We use Webex and that is how we do it! :)
