View Online as a Facebook Link

Hi. I create an e-newsletter (email) for a client. The client wants to share the e-newsletter beyond her mailing list and has asked if there is a way to share it on Facebook. Is there any reason why I couldn't/shouldn't click on the "view online" link in my email, grab and shorten the URL, and use that short URL in a Facebook post? Thank you!
