We have a monthly support newsletter that we post to the website after it's sent each month. We typically just have our web developer receive the actual email and then paste the view as webpage link to the site. However, for older copies, we're now getting this message "The personalized email you are looking for has expired. View a generic version"

Does anyone know how to retrieve the view as webpage link for a particular email so it's not linked to a contact record?

When you do this, any link click is associated with the developer's Marketo lead!  Hasn't this been worrisome in the past?

I'm not sure what you're asking, exactly.  Do you want to start using generic versions?

Yes, that's correct. Use the generic version from the start.
