UTM codes - how to report on them once used in the form

I have a question regarding UTM codes. I set up UTM parameters for a landing page + form in Marketo.

Email had this link:

www.FA......utm_source=XYZ.../utm_campaign=email......com

So, when people click on this link in the email the UTM code link opens.....

FLOW - >

Email - "RSVP" (UTM parameters added to this link) -> Landing page -> Form -> Receive thank you email etc.

So, this is the flow of a campaign. Please tell me how to find out where people entered from / what source they used to reach the landing page / who are these people / what was the UTM campaign?

How do UTM codes help me track and what to track?

Can we download such a report from Marketo?

Thank you,

I think you should start with a Community search for "UTM" and do some deep reading first, as we discuss UTM tracking all the time.

Hi Nimisha,

There's more than one way. It really depends on what your trying to accomplish and understanding your overall setup. You can capture UTM parameters in hidden fields on your forms.You can also use a Smart Campaign with a Fills Out Form trigger - and a constraint that looks for the utm parameter string for the particular campaign you are tracking. For example:

Filled Out Form->is any

Web Page is-> name of LP

Referrer contains: utm parameter string

Flow:

Send Thank you email

Change Program Status->Filled Out Form
